pagona - thanks for stopping by and welcom to IC !

unthing - lol its going to be cherry x everything. the cherryjuana is the cross i really wanted to make, but the CB is also a great candidate to make seeds with the elites. apparently the males are 'pre-potent' so dont need progeny testing and being an ibl should be fairly stable - with CB traits easy to spot in the progeny.

Heya VG, I just dipped my toes in the LED lake.

I am vegging only with 2 procyon 50's as a 400w MH replacement. The lights come as a kit that takes about 20 minutes to assemble. What is really neat about these is that they only use a few LED's, and they are smaller than any I have seen in grow lights. 4 bucks a watt...

Each unit uses:
18 Red Cree XP-E Xlamp LEDs
6 Royal Blue Cree XP-E Xlamp LEDs

thanks cheesebuds!

mad - i guess you have 2w led's in your unit. i like LED's for veg but find mine has to be some distance away from the plants for best results - 10" or so

took a look today - it looks like the pollen has taken on the chem D so there should be a few seeds on their way

Looking really good Verdant, it is quite amazing to me that a mere 100 watts actual draw is able to produce such a substantial plant.

not sure what the watts are. they are 80% smaller than the previous generation, and so freaking bright that I keep them about a foot away.

hey thanks carforce - thats two plants under there ! 50watts on each. :)

mad - that sounds sensible. vegging plants dont seem happy under my leds when they are close.

chem d at 33 days - coming on nicely. yellowing slightly so i gave it a feed of biobiz bloom.

Hey I had a couple thoughts about your chem d. I had a similar looking plant. I thought the same thing mosaic. I flowered it and then reveged it. At the same time I was changing nutes and medium I used, and the symptoms went away. So I was thinking that maybe that chemD is looking for some missing nutes or your not in a high enough potency. It is called chem... heh Also I thought it might just be a genetic mutant do to the breeding process. Still looks pretty good to me. I got some chemdawg from a med center in colo. That shit is waaay to stinky for me to grow micro. If I just opened the jar of mugs I had it made my entire house fill up with the smell of manure!

hey itgrows, the chem D is pretty famous for having that variegation thing going on - although not all cuts have it afaik. the plant is real healthy and im not worried about it. i started a thread in the botany forum and many poeple thing its a mutation/sport rather than TMV.

stihgnobevoli - yeah im really pleased with how this LED is working out - ive used them a few times before and they work great if you buy a good one - but they wont perform miracles like some expect them to do.

#1cheesebuds :thank you:

the chem D is putting on some great weight, pics on thursday...

hey g0v yeah the chem is putting out lots of pistils, and starting to pong too.

i seeded a whole little branch on the heri with the Cherry Bomb pollen. its probably taken the plant quite a bit of energy to make all those seeds. heri is not thought to be much of a yielder. it'll be interesting to see how the smoke comapres to the last heri i grew.

Good stuff! How are you liking this third generation spectrum compared to the second gen? I've got a third gen on its way in the mail right now! Excited to try it out.

lets hope so g0v! :tiphat:

Sgt.Stedenko - thanks, yeah this is the second heri ive grown, i liked the first very much

Darkgan- im very pleased with the third gen spectrum - although i think in the end they used white rather than pure green as the white led's are more efficient. the biggest difference is the flowering response. i reckon plants will flower faster in here then under an HPS. the haze was quicker than i expected and this heri looks ready at 7-8 weeks!. i'll need to leave it another week just for the cherryjuana seeds to develop properly but if it wasnt for them i would probasbly take it tomorrow. i guess it has a lot more far red which drives flowering hormones....
