haze6 is some lovely smoke. actually quite relaxing - not in an indica type of way but in a 'centering' blissful way. very much in the head. a little trippy but mellow trippy. kind of makes you feel like a cartoon character of yourself it that makes any sense - which i sincerely doubt. very long lasting high. 4+ hours. quite potent too. definitely a keeper, maybe more than just a keeper...

nice - again, i'm not saying we're looking at exactly the same things, but this seems very familiar. a mellow grinning buzz that you almost have to plan for - i've found that if i haven't smoked something else by hour 3 or so to 'maintain' the buzz, there's a crash that could very easily result in a unplanned tactical nap, tho

re: taste, i'm used to a sweetness, but a weird sweetness - it isn't at all like a sugar sweet, or even a fruit sweetness, but it's there all the same. i've heard folks mention a fuely taste, too, tho - i think it just presents tastes so subtly your brain can end up connecting the dots. in a way, the taste is kinda like smoking nostalgia

Hiya VG,

Haze6 sounds lovely. You seem to get lucky with your phenos from seed, with your blueberry and now the haze... You've got a nice selection in your garden.
With regards to the Mosaic Virus, are you not worried that it will spread throughout the rest of your stock? Do you not consider it to be particularly malignant?
Good going mate, you certainly keep things interesting.
Peace.

gdtrfb, yeah i think we are on the same page with the smoke report. the skinny pheno i had is very similar as well high wise - just not quite so 'happy' feeling. the fat pheno is also stronger (but similar) smelling.

mugenbao :)

dao, yes i think you are right about being lucky most of the time :) as for the mosaic virus i am a little worried about it, but i dont think its that easy for it to spread from plant to plant, but it can spread through seeds which is kind of crazy. im looking into it a little more atm. also i think you were closest in the haze flowering time competition so i need to check that and pm you ;)

Hmmmm. Thats an interesting point on the virus as regards to seeds. I've just started 6 REZ ChemDxSourD seeds so maybe its something I should watch out for. I've heard some say it can destroy crops, but then quite a few people seem to manage it with seemingly no ill effects.
Have made a concerted effort to get the grow area sorted, despite juggling work and a 2 week old! Finished 1 of the 2 scrogboxes and have all the gear, I think. Will start a thread in the near future.
Nice! Would definately like to get a go at haze6's genetic line, definately hit me up if that is the case.:dance013:
Peace bro.

Peace bro.

I got freaked when I discovered the TMV symptoms on my ladies. Contemplated just cutting and starting new..don't do it! As long as you can keep them happy, it should have little to no effect on quality or yield.

peace

hey marley, dao - the tmv on the chem D doesnt seem to worry it particularly, i even wonder if it is a variegation genetic trait... i need to find out more. yes apparently if the plants are happy and growing vigorously then they dont get affected too much.
there is a thread in the infirmary section but i doubt some of the pics in there are actually mosaic virus..

plants going well. the chem d is stretching and the heri is starting to bud up...

looking beautiful as always VG. i think you are the official KING OF SCROG.

btw i love how you screwed the modular screens right into the airpots! i guess they're rigid enough to support it?

That Mosaic Virus seems to be ruining the ChemD. May as well chuck it out............. oh wait. No. They look lovely.

heady blunts - yeah the airpots were much more rigid than i expected. had i known that i would have tried them ages ago. i thin there are smart pots too and maybe they arent as rigid -they look like they are made of rubber but i might be wrong about that too :D anyone?

cheesebuds - thanks dude :tiphat:

dao - yeah the chem is being quite well behaved, not sure exactly how much more it will stretch. this LED seems to encourage less stretch than an HPS too. the heri is promising. this is a new one from seed. the last heri mum i had went a bit odd, a cut from it grew well but developed a crinkly leaf effect that may have been a virus. this was the original plant that i was going to do the Heri x cherry bomb cross with and i didnt want to use it fro breeding for that reason and slung the plant. a couple more seeds popped gave me this girl and she is promising. very squat and thick stems. (the suspected virus was before all the new cuts came along including the chem D so un-connected. i suspect it was more of a leaf curl virus)

hey g0v the last heri i grew was some great smoke. strong and powerful. blurred vision type weed. but that was the cut i spoke aout above and is no more. i will be happy if this one is as good - should be its pretty stable heri is, so ive read.

They are *far less* rigid, in fact. They are made out of a sort of cloth, kind of like a sturdy felt. They work very well for their purpose, but wouldn't work in your setup.

thanks mugenbao - i think thats what was confusing me. im getting on great with the airpots and the plants seem to like them. i need to try and veg them in the pots for a week or so first i think.

right some pics - chem D is at 16 days and doing well.

and the herijuana at 3 weeks is looking good and frosting up. i made my Cherryjuana cross today by dusting the heri with pollen from 2 of Mr.Greengenes Cherry Bomb males today. did quite a big bud as i want plenty of seeds. i also have a friend who has 4 heri girls from seed that i hope will get a bud on each dusted too - just to get a few more genetics into the cross. i may try to line-breed this one so i want to avoid it being too narrow a gene pool...
