Hiya mate.
Wow.... what a difference in phenos.
Haze6 looks even more impressive come the end. Great stuff. How does it smell, still all spice?
And whats next for the LED/ScrOG treatment?
That was a bloody impressive grow. Props.

how the hell did i miss this one - great show, man

really intrigued by haze6 - seeing a lot in common with the ohaze princess i've been bestest friends with for awhile - the slightly broader, but still absolutely sativa leaf, the bud structure, and from the looks of it, the timing and behavior seems similar (i run 12/12, so who's to say how that would compare to 10/14, tho)

i'm really looking forward to your smoke report on this girl - if the taste comes out as well on the same end of what i've come to love, you'll be as pleased as you are confounded trying to describe it. the only descriptive term i have is 'goodness' - there's a handful of taste hints, but the overwhelming taste profile is just 'awesome tasting pot'. i wasn't around to know my own self, but the phrase "haven't tasted that since the 70s" seems to crop up on the Customer Satisfaction cards ;)

for comparison's sake, at 9 weeks, taken between 10 and 11 weeks, and an example or two of the typical leaf

I doubt we're looking at exactly the same things, but there seems to be enough in common that I absolutely get it when you say 'I love this plant'. the ohaze that lives here is less a plant or crop, she's more of a pet :)

Garuda - yep they both smell pretty similar

hazydreams - yep the skinny one looks more like a classic haze, both are pretty resinous. apparently hazes get stronger as they get older so if i run them again... i also still have 3 more phenos to try, but if haze6 turns out to be fire smoke i may not bother.

Blue Socks, heady blunts - thanks guys :tiphat:

#1cheesebuds - yeah i reckon the fat one will yield ok but will still be less than 1g/watt. having said that i think i could get this one to yield pretty big under a 12/12 schedule.

daoboxer - thanks, not sure what is next in here. i have a few things from seed that i need to sex, and ive just come across some great clone-only's thanks to a new friend i hooked up with. i have two herijuana plants that i may run in here if i get any girls.

Glaus - thanks mate, cant wait to smoke some! :dance013:

gdtrfb - thanks, yeah there could be some similarity in the pheno's we have. haze6 was the only one that looked different in veg with slightly wider leaves. the smell is hard to describe (as you say) but it is very evocative and i suspect it reminds me of the early, long forgotten bagseed grows i did 20 odd years ago. there is that spicey/incense smell that i associate with haze, but also a very strong sweet overtone, perhaps fresh grass clippings?
i really hope it is a winner smoke wise because it rocks in every other way..

had a little smoke on the haze6 last night and it was very promising, smells like the classic haze spice/incense but also with a strong sweet green smell - like someone has made cream soda out of fresh grass clippings. fairly potent and all head, not racey but quite trippy and uplifting - put a real grin on my face.

the haze 3 will probably get chopped tomorrow after a look at the trics to make sure it's ripe.

---
not 100% sure what's coming up but i am hooping to get a girl out of these herijuana plants

also have a few clone only's that i hope to run, perhaps a chem D or in here too, depends on m/f ratios with seedlings

thanks cheesebuds!

the haze3 has been chopped, trics were mostly milky and a few brown/few clear
13 weeks or thereabouts. the LED unit has quite a few far red LED's (the ones that look like they dont work) i think these have sped up the flowering a little. far red is what mainly promotes flowering response

may get one of each on the heris but too early to tell just yet

I was wondering what kind of return you'd get for your invested time... and it looks like a splendid return! that macro is killer! good work VG.

pieceofCracker - thanks - i can remember buying some lovely flatpress hash in holland called 'lekker vet'

Marijuanasaur - yeah im really pleased - see below for the yield on haze6 - the fat one...

Marley - yes ive got haze6 jarred up now :dance013:

the yield for haze6 was 42 grams which would be 0.8 g/watt, but as i was only using 10 hours light, if you do the 'correction' based on 12/12 it bumps it up to 1g/watt.
any way you work it out its a good yield for orgininal haze :moon:

haze6 is some lovely smoke. actually quite relaxing - not in an indica type of way but in a 'centering' blissful way. very much in the head. a little trippy but mellow trippy. kind of makes you feel like a cartoon character of yourself it that makes any sense - which i sincerely doubt. very long lasting high. 4+ hours. quite potent too. definitely a keeper, maybe more than just a keeper...

not tried haze3 yet. funkymonkey, who sadly got banned, told me that haze6 looked mexican influenced and haze3 the skinny one was more lowland thai, so that may have a whole different high..

cheers

So what do you think of this green added LED so far? Have you heard anything new concerning HGL?

Another great grow btw.

hi yesum, the LED works great, seeming to have good penetration still despite the 90 degree lenses. i think the light would actually be way too strong with standard 60 degree lenses...

as for HGL i do speak to them from time to time but i've already had messages deleted from my profile by a mod when members have asked me questions about the company and their lights, and that really pissed me off - being treated as though i cant be trusted - so im not going to post anything here about it.

i should get some pics up with new plants later this week

and here is the can with a heri on the right and an ECSD on the right. i think it will be the heri and the ECSD that get flowered in here next.

My Larry's had a fight with TMV as well. Definitely looks like familiar blotching! Any hooked leaves? They grew out of it in late flowering, but it did take some time.

Glad to hear the haze is dank. Thanks again for the mod scrog idea, just had my first harvest a couple weeks back.

:woohoo:

hi marley yes the Chem D has tmv and there is nothing we can do about it. also it passes through seeds so any strains bred/seeds made with Chem D are also likely to have it.

so the next round is installed -
here is the Chem D complete with airpot and screen. i cut a bit off the airpot to make it shorter

and a Herijuana stiff stems on this - it was well vegged and topped late. they bend ok though
