Kick butt, uthenger! Garden is looking good! My friend is wanting to grow autos next year. Looks like those would be good ones to recommend. Should yield pretty well!

how do the nl colas do in rain any mold?

Hi slender, the Northern Light(s) Auto's had started flowering around 15 July as said in post #49, so they today have 4 weeks of flowering. The bud rot is a danger on the last 1-2 weeks of flowering (according to Nirvana, the NL Auto takes 7-9 weeks of flowering to finish, and also is genetically mold resistant strain, even that not means mold proof).
Also uthenger has learned that is better to off the yellow (not the yellowing) leaves, to not let the dead material act as a sponge and as a perfect ground for mold growth, as he had hapened with Jock Horror1.

By the way, look JH2, she is JH1 outdoor plant indoor sister, sprouted on the same day from seed but had totally different conditions and stresses from Mother Nature and as from uthenger too, so she entered flowering more late than her sister who;s now curing in a jar.

JH2 had difficult childhood and some drought on 2 weeks of flowering (was not watered for 4 days in a too small container, you can see the old container below the new one). She had Calcium deficiency signs too, but recovered and she now is on 5 or 6 weeks from flowering and could take another 3 weeks as she looks.

Hello pipeline, glad to see you watching my thread, I also follow yours.
The Norther Light auto plants are short stature but with high bud to leaf ratio, they are like the dwarf from the Lord of the rings. Also here is the commercial description from Nirvana:

"Description

Northern Light is a marijuana strain which is highly suited to indoor growing. Nearly all promising modern indoor cannabis strains contain Northern Lights genes. With its high flower-to-leaf ratio, compact buds, good yields and exceptional resin production, these wonderful marijuana seeds are a most lucrative choice for the indoor cannabis grower. The smoke's flavor is somewhat neutral, yet full-bodied.

Specifications
Plant Type Hybrid
Cultivation Indoor as well as Outdoor
Plant Height Short
Effect High (Head Trip) yet Stoned (Body Buzz)
Flavor Fruity, Smooth
Average Yield 200 - 300 g/m² in SOG
Flowering Period 7 - 9 weeks"

On the other handJock Horror is mostly sativa hybrid, gives a different type of high.

that indoor looks fire uthenger. mhhhh .. ive heard keeping plants green can help plants. ill take your word for it. ive got a couple 7 footer NL here and they are all showing pre flowers i have a large 14 by 25 ft cover ontop of them an i think this will be enough to combat but rot. i can always do the morning shake method and spray with greencure-serenade if it gets real bad i guess. hydrogen peroxide the gunk out...
i am currently in drought conditions and have seen very little rain for western washington state! pretty amazing if u ask me. i would enjoy some Jh2 to be honest. keep it up uthenger.

I don't think that uthenger will use plastic sheeting above the plants, this is a stealth grow or supposed to be.
Also the relative humidity at night often reaches as high as 90-100 %, so in the morning the buds are covered with dew, and the plastic sheeting would not help on this.

So here is the story.
Uthenger vent Sunday to spot#1 with some tall sticks to tie up the freebies 1,2,4 and 5. As he approached the spot he had a strange feeling, then when he exited the woods he saw something that made him 100% proof that somebody was there earlier. He could saw the spot from the forest exit.
So uthenger made a 180 turn and wanished.
Then at night, in pitch black under no starlight he went again to the spot. The spot was untouched, but was proof that somebody was next to
He quickly harvested NL1 and 2, they were entering in 5th week of flowering, but they yielded nicely.
Uthenger does not know if the person(s) who were there and 100% saw the garden what did or will do:
Did they know what it is or will they tell or show to somebody who knows.
Why they did not touched the plants?
Will they notify/already noticed police?
Was there and hidden game camera? Uthenger went on night (he knows about infrared camera), with covered face.

So now need to wait and see what will happen with the freebies.
Uthenger will not visit the spot any soon, so will not know if they are there, are there any males or else. Maybe in the autumn he will visit them and have a surprise.

Also on the NL's there were three tiny spot of bud rot on the entire bud lot (not even 0,5% of the entire harvest).

Wow sorry for the bad luck, but good thing you were able to harvest something and not be stolen from.

Hopefully you post pictures of the trimmed and cured bud when done? Love to see what you guys' harvest and maybe what I can expect if I need to chop early because of rain!

Yes I could do that, have the permission from uthenger.
On the pictures is the total harvest from the two auto Northern Lights on the beginning of week 5 in flowering.
Also there is a standard BIC lighter for scaling.

Hello fellow growers.
Uthenger today has harvested three of those freebie sativas, the fourth girl was harvested about a week ago.
It turned out, that nobody was watching the spot, uthenger made a few trips (4 in total) since becoming paranoid when the garden was revealed by some stick-pickers.
At these northern altitude of about 44-45 degrees and continental climate was pretty cold in the last 3 weeks, in the past two at night dropped below freezing (-1...-5 degrees Celsius or 30...23 Fahrenheit degrees).
At September 15 they were flowering already(FR1, FR2, FR6 and FR7 were girls), then were destroyed FR5_6, they were males with lots of pollen sacks. The girls then were with small buds, over 2,3 m/8 feet tall
Later will update with fotos and will reinstall the deleted pictures too.
The harvest is so fresh that still in bags, later this night will be trimmed.
Stay tuned.
