gotcha! use the blood and rotten egg solution. fuk it.. it should work. make sure its an animal with blood properties that deers DO NOT like.

Or actually use any type of blood, even deer or rabbit. The blood signals to the deer that here an animal was killed by a large predator, that's all. Can be used chicken blood too.

About the urine, deer cannot differentiate between cat, dog or human urine, only can smell the secreted metabolites from a high protein diet (high in ureea). And that means onlyone thing: predator

Also instead of urine, you can use any product that contains urea (carbamide, H2N-CO-NH2) in high percentage, just from a safe distance from your plants, is also a fertilizer for nitrogen. This product could be the liquid for the SCR (selective catalitic reductor) on exhaust gas, on diesel engines. Also Volkswagen sells under the brand name as AdBlue, contains 32,5% urea in water.

Would be hard to find such a product here.

Yes, it stinks because it decomposing to ammonia (NH4). Also needs to be diluted and also needs some bacteria or higher heat as in the car's catalysator, urea itself does not have any odor, ammonia has a stinging odor.

as for today

as for today

Today uthenger was on the spot #1 for watering and for some lower branches on spot nr 2, even that GG wrote (and I agree) don't smoke before it's finished or something alike, but uthenger was cautious, he just made stronger the top cola.
Also no images available this time, but he said that on spot nr 1 the two auto Northern Lights had began flowering (had no sign on last visit as for 13 July), and on NL#! there was some natural LST-ing, probably by wind and fast growing, the main branch was about on 120 degree off the axis about 30 cm/one foot from the top (that was above 5 cm/2" from ground now).
The others, the freebies has not shown their sex by now.
He had an extra effort to take two trips with the water, the first one with feritilizer 7-7-7 double dose so the plants roughly got 3 cubic liters or about 3/4 gallon of water per plant - 25 L in total. There was some rain 4 days ago, but weak, he hopes, that this sunny and hot weather will get to a better yield.

New updates

Today uthenger visited again his spot#1, he knew that the two Northern Lights Auto had begun flowering, but was not prepared to see the freebies skyrocketing.

Freebie1 was on the ground in poor shape, he put some fragile sticks for some support as he did with the others too.

FR2

Then he LST-d the taller plants over 130 cm/4+ foot - could be males? - none of the freebies has any clue to their sex yet.

On the FR7 the bent stem will grow to 2 inches / 5 cm wide, will see later....

He also found some fecals near by spot#2 where Jock Herrer 1 almost finished flowering. He thinks that is form wild-boar. Also in the area are many european roe deers ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roe_deer )

JH1 as for today - he has many lower branches missing -uthenger has a sharp knife :peacock:

Also a picture of the top of the plant:

This night uthenger was at spot#4 for watering the two Northern Lights that he has there (no pictures since he only visits at night).
Also today he plans to visit spot#1, the main spot. He need to put some real support sticks for the plants, will procure them in the forest on the way to the spot. He has developed a phobia for the deer-ticks that are abundant in the area, he was bitten only once early in the season and removed in less than 24 hours so no risk contacting Lyme disease. The problem is that despite using the best brand of repellent and using copious amounts on the clothes and on the skin, even then he founds many ticks wandering on his neck, last time he found more than 10 ticks, one even wandered to his mouth. Then at home after the shower he usually founds 1 or 2 ticks rambling and this is enough to develop a phobia towards them, like somebody starts to scrap his head after meeting a person with pediculosis or scabies.

spot#1 as for 25 July

spot#1 as for 25 July

Uthenger today made a 3h50min bike-trip to his spot to take care of the gang (i would say ladies, but those freebies has not shown yet their sex). He cut some tree-branches and forced them into the soil as deep as he could. Then he tied the plants to the sticks, because next week there could be thunderstorms with fast winds. The grow spot locations gives some protection from the wind, but without support could not resist as they proved. so now they are prepared for the rain and wind. uthenger topped all the upper new growth tips from the freebies, did not touched the Northern lights(es). They are flowering nicely. He made some weed control by pulling out the weeds that grow near by the MJ's.

Also Jock Horror is on the finishing flowering, has a few amber trichomes and about 40% opalescent and the rest clear. He was thinking to harvest her on 1st of August (was transplanted to the spot on the beginning of June, as a 2 week old from seed. She begun flowering somewhere 15 June, so 1st of August would be 7 weeks (Nirvana says 7-9 weeks - that in ideal conditions, only a supposition) - the harsher are the conditions, the earlier she finishes as a survival tactic. Now that there are predicted thunderstorms, uthenger is not decided what to do, harvest earlier or harvest after 1st of August. The rain will wash off some of the trichomes, there is a risk of mold, but she could gain more weight than that she loses. Anyway, she was 1/3 smoked before she got to this stage (that main cola is more than 25 cm in length, maybe 30 cm/1 foot and about 8 cm tick at the broadest part) , uthenger is very pleased with this strain, will grow next year too.

wow almost 4 hr bike ride. That dedication.Everything is coming along nicely. Good to see flowers starting on the NL. It's a good thing the Jock Horror is almost done or you might have harvested it all before completion.
Keep safe my friend.
Cheers GG

That was the total time from leaving and returning home, included the working time on site and cutting the sticks.
