There is only one Amnesia cut and it's a pheno of SSH, when Zwiep first brought the bud to the Dam to sell, he went to see a friend of mine and the story he told then was that he had bought a bag of SSH in the RLD GHS shop and found a seed in it, germed it and got what is now called Amnesia. The reason he came clean with the truth was the friend took a pipe hit and knew right away it was SSH, after all, he has seen and handled more Hazes than anyone bar Neville and Shanti. It grows like a sativa and the Dutch growers take it as early as 9 weeks, but it needs a little longer to be just right. It annoys me when people make up new stories to cover up the fact what they are selling is in fact someone else's strain and it doesn't fly with experts, Zwiep took the weed to the resident Haze expert so stories wouldn't fly there and he had to tell the truth.

There is now a 'Hy-Pro Amnesia' clone in the UK,,, selected from a sativa plant (not one of the indica dom. plants)... that's what we ment to say It takes 77days.

Amnesia was made in Switzerland by Zwiep,, in a recent interview with Dokkie he mentions the male used in the cross was Nevilles Haze (see page 50):

...any info relating to the "Dutch Amnesia" interest us,,, since we smoke plenty of it,, it's about the UK in clone,, and it won a shed load of cups for the breeders,, and other growers (shout out to KarmaG)

Edit: the original clone you mention is the one Hy-Pro released and Soma used,, since when Hy-Pro also made Amnesia into a seedline.

er isnt psychosis im doing a side by side grow with er cheese and psychosis . the jah hoover cheese cut is the best ive eva grown or smoked . ers cheese cut is a small yeilded too . unlike jahs remeber when i got just under 18oz from 2 plants under a 400w

Ok, thats that bit done with.

Firstly, I must state that I have been smoking cheese since pretty much the first time I toked. And wasnt particularly blown away then. Its impressive, but doesn't flick my switch.

These are beautiful buds of lime green colour. Individually visable swollen calyxes. And a great covering of velvet like crystals.

When you open the bag you get hit by a deep and pentrating, earthy sweetness antiseptic. When squeezed or broken the buds just reaks of TCP. Really strong. TCP and skunk. Very smelly. Not as smelly as a well grown diesel, but very stinky non the less. Its the TCP smells that carries the penetrating skunk edge.

The dry toke is earthy, sweet with the TCP notes. Slight volcano THC taste, woodsy. Its a deep taste, lower down on the tongue and in the throat, rather than nasaly and astringent.

The smoke is very smooth. Expansive and creamy. The TCP comes through with an added woodyness. Not hashy tho. Earthy and almost a chocolate hint on the very exhale. For people who have never smoked cheese, it has no resemblance in anyway, IMO, to the dairy product. It just smells as strong and nasty as Pont le veque.

There is an almost instant THC rush upon toking your first few puffs. This can lead to sweats under the eye feeling. I dont get this anymore, but this is what I seam to remember of cheese years ago. And I can feel that this was trying to do get me sweating. The rush doesnt last long, then you become monged and very demotivated. Heavy limbs, only really wanna watch telly and turn me phone and computer off.

The fact that there is this instant buzz that wares off quickly makes the cheese somewhat addictive. I feel like I am constantly trying to chase the high. I find it a little like coke in this effect - this is not an aspect to the weed that I enjoy. It also means that a hen of cheese last mater of hours.

Overall, this was a spectacular example of cheese. UKCheesehead should be very proud. Perfectly grown. You can tell alot of love went in.

I smoke mainly for medical reasons. I do like to get high also, but because of my Muscular Dystrophy I look for medical value as a main purpose for said strain. And IMVHO I do not really think there is that much medical value in cheese. Not for neuropathic pains, and muscular stiffness. However, it does help with occular pressure and relaxes the smaller muscles in my eyes, helping my vision.

Cheese is very unique. Its tastes like very few other herbs, and the 'crack' like effect is very intresting.

I do understand why alot of people go mad for cheese, but please don't think it is by any means the holygrail. Its fun and exciting, but there are plenty better.

ill do some pics in a weeks time when im 8 weeks 12/12 on ricks cheese and the psychosis clone . they both look completely differant and smell completely differant so i dont know how people get muddled up with the 2 clones .

Just having a re read of my report on your bud, and I would say - FOR ME - that Ricks cheese is more potent. On flavor I honestly can not remember. But his actually got the sweats going and there was a considerable longevity to the stone which I find most cheese lack.

Again, this could be genetics, growing, environment, moon phases (lol), my biochemestry at the time of smoking etc etc.

im only on week 7 with ricks cheese . i find it very sweet smelling when i move the branches theres NO cheese (musky smell ) at all.. nothing like jahs cut witch is musky earthy and when branches are moved it stinks . the yeild from ricks is poor unlike jahs . i will know more in 5 weeks or so . when its dry.

The one Karma has is the same one that is everywhere in Holland, it's everywhere, it's a bubblegum tasting/smelling SSH and it does indeed take 77 days. I really think Zwiep is lying about having bred Amnesia. I can arrange to get the Amnesia from NL over here at some point so you can do em side-by-side, I am pretty sure they are the same, there's nothing very indica about the Dutch one, it just gets called an indica type because there are phenos of SSH which take longer and look more typically sativa, the Amnesia grows tall and looks sativa, but the buds are dense, highly resinous, big calyxes and when seen in finished form, look like they came off something indica leaning.

Last year me, ojd, jah hoover and ganja baba were sat together and we had Psychosis by jah and Suicide Cheese by ganja baba, if they aren't the same thing then they are so close to identical it would be very difficult to tell them apart, they look the same (as buds) smell the same, smoke the same, hit the same. Both piss all over the Exodus Cheese, make it look weak and mediocre by comparison.

I'm starting to think that the people who rave about Cheese have one of the better cuts, not the Exodus, cos unless they are all lightweights or liars, these tales of mega potency and other great qualities are not referring to the Exodus.

I'll do the run, this is what I would like to include:

Herbalizor's Herijuana (as a potency benchmark)

I reckon the Psychosis and the Suicide may turn out to be the same cut and the Blues and the Berry Cheese may be the same cut too.

For a good comparison, I shall do them in plain Canna coco and feed them Canna A+B and PK13-14 and nothing else. Or maybe I should do em in John Innes #3 and feed em nothing but water so there is no possibility of any variance in the way they are grown.

Hmm, True definitely has the Exodus, I smoked his Cheese and I know quite a few mutual friends and there has never been any confusion between us about Cheese we all had the same one which is the one from Exodus.

Gotta say though, unless it's the way you grew it, that looks not quite the same as the Exodus i know, it's fatter and that last pic looks slightly different in the bud structure. I would need to see it, smell it and smoke it to be sure though.

I think us English bods should get our heads together and make 2010 the year we finally sort out this Cheese confusion.

Yeah, Psychosis and the Exodus Cheese are totally different, but Suicide Cheese and Psychosis aren't, they are virtually identical, so much so I could see them being the same cut.

The smell/taste of all three is pretty similar though, that dry, musky, sweaty thing, but the Psychosis has more sweetness and fruit undertones. If you had a bud of the Exodus and a bud of the Psychosis you could tell em apart by looks and smell though, although they do smell similar the Exodus lacks some of the tones the Psychosis has.

Yours could well be the Exodus rick, it might well be the same as the one I had, if I smelled and smoked yours I'd know for sure. I'll do yours next to the one I had (and is still in my circle of friends) so we can be sure. All musky and no sweetness is the Exodus, stale sweat and dust are the two things that always spring to mind when I smell the Exodus in bud form.

Cheese,, and the Cheese Spider on Max Lumen's Strawberry Cheesel run...

If in doubt,, make some bubblehash,, it's the best way to tell IMO /IME.

Cheese makes a rich,, dark brown,, heavy bubble (much like Afghan boarder hash c1990s)... night-time smoke,,

Psychosis makes a finer bubble,, more in the bottom sack,, overall a less sticky hash,, redder in colour... excellent afternoon / party smoke

The 'Kachina' clone (Cheese x Trainwreck),, very commonly confused with UK Cheese also makes some funky orange bubblehash! You can smoke it whenever,, tastes sugar.. lol

Making hash is the best way to tell IMO... the colour alone is a dead give away... hope this helps
