Trump thread part 2 (Or anything else we want to talk about that's ridiculous in politics today)

we never were truly a "united" nation, not even in times of war. any suggestion of this is mere revisionist tripe. look at how we treated Japanese citizens here during WW2. even if their sons volunteered and served in combat on our behalf against their homeland, their relatives were sent to internment camps, losing their jobs, their homes etc. too many still cling to their fantasy and pretend that all " true Americans" had lily-white ancestors that came over on the damn Mayflower...
Each generation has been sold a more revisionist version of history. Hollywood, being the West coast division of Madison ave, has long been a mob run town .

Donald Trump has raised $7.1 million since taking his infamous mugshot in an Atlanta jail on Thursday evening, according to figures provided to Politico by Trump’s campaign. Trump raked in more than half of that amount—$4.18 million—on Friday alone, shattering records for the single-highest 24-hour period of his campaign to date, a person familiar with the totals told Politico. Immediately following his booking, Trump began plastering his mugshot all over merchandise, including on shirts, posters, bumper stickers and beverage coolers, with the tagline “NEVER SURRENDER!” His campaign’s website event features the mugshot on the landing page, where Trump decries “I was ARRESTED despite having committed NO CRIME” and “What has taken place is a travesty of justice and ELECTION INTERFERENCE.”

i waffled back and forth on whether this got a " " or a "" until i actually finished (and re-read) the entire post...twice. my reading comprehension is off today. :shucks::good:
Well to be fair, it was loaded with a lot of spelling errors because I tend not to proof read until after I post and for some reason, ever since the site upgrade it's a pain in the ass to enter edit mode to make corrections. Fortunately the web site Gods were in a good mood and I was able to enter edit mode and fix most of the mistakes. All that was left was on really long run on sentance but I ended up leaving it because I couldn't make up my mind on where to split it up. All on all though it should be easier to read now. ;)

Besides that glaring example of un-Americanism lets not forget that prior to our entering World War II there were many Americans that wanted to side with Hitler and who didn't seem to mind the notion that if he won he would do away with our government and install himself as our ruler. You don't really hear much about that in history class though.

What would seem to be a simple solution to the problem of unions is to make it law that a majority of stocks the company sells must be divided equally amoung the workers in the union. I say this because what seems to be the biggest problems for unions is the company feeling that they owe more to the shareholders then they do the workers. Also that there is little to no interest in what is best for the workers held by the majority of share holders. If the workers were the majority share holders that should solve most of the problems.

This is the way they think. There's just one problem. Red states are under achievers on contributions and very big receivers. In other words, they have their hands out and their mouths open. I tend to go with the concept of the person (or people) who pays the piper calls the tune. The majority of taxes paid do come from blue states.
I hear what you are saying and agree with it for the most part but it's not as simple as Rec States vs Blue States. Those in Red states who benefit from and depend on government assistance are not likely to be against those benefits. Hell there is a very good chance they're not even Republicans. Just because someone lives in a Red State does not automatically make them Republican or align with the conservative agenda. Same is true for Blue States just because the state is considered Blue does not mean all those living in that state are democrat or align with a more liberal or progressive agenda. Another thing that really complicates the whole issue is the tax laws that exist, especially when it comes to earned income credit aka EIC there is a large percentage of the country that can rightfully claim to be taxpayers because money is taken from their paychecks but a very large percentage of those people eith pay nothing or even get more back then they pay in after EIC is applied.

and aren't all his co-criminals going to be extra pissed when donny dipshit still won't chip in on their legal bills...can anyone say "plea deals for flipping?"
What really gets me about how Trump is hanging his coconspiritors out to dry is that the money he's not giving them isn't even his. It's funds fleeced from all his supporters and he doesn't want to give any of it out because if he did he might have to dip into his own pockets to pay for his own defense.

What's truely ironic about it all is that the mugshot is proof of Trump literally surrendering for the charges of his attempts to interfere with the 2020 election. So as usually this latest campaign cry is just more BS and lies.

Also I can't help but wonder how accurate those numbrs are given that they were reported to Politico by the Trump Campaign. You know, the same people who will report 80,000 attending a rally when it was actually more like 5,000 or who will tell you without batting an eyelash that Trump is the same height and weight as Muhammad Ali when he was in his top fighting condition.

Of course it is not absolute. It is the majority. More specifically it is the demographic. The bottom line is that the states with the most money (and education) are paying for the states with the least money (and education) and those states are red. When the least educated people are making decisions for everyone, it is not a good thing. Imposing their beliefs about the invisible man on others and removing books from schools is forcing the country to be dumber.

Just like the followers of Peter, Paul, et al., Joe Smith, L.R. Hubbard.

Martyrdom will destroy the Church of the Donald forever and we'll all laugh and hold hands.
The problem with this logic is that when you write off 80,000,000 as “undesirable”, you now have 80,000,000 people determined to be undesirable.

I don’t know how to bring everyone together, but I can tell when nobody is trying.

That's the way they want it. Cult programming 101. Rush Limbaugh was the modern day master of fake persecution, the Donald will never compare.

It's funny how the R's talk about the bad behavior, when they lead by example. Hypocrisy to the end.

aw,so sad

Donald Trump is spending his Sunday not on a Scottish golf course but on social media, and boy, is he steamed about it. The former president took to Truth Social to bemoan the legal woes that have kept him away from the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship this weekend. “I have to stay around and fight off the Crazed Radical Left Lunatics, Communists, Marxists, and Fascists,” he huffed. “I wouldn’t want to be in Europe and watch this COUNTRY DESTROYING Scum work their disgusting and illegal ‘magic’ on unsuspecting Republican ‘leaders’ who just don’t think it is appropriate to Fight Fire With Fire.” Then, in all caps, he added: “But we will win. Make America great again!” The seniors championship is being hosted at the Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire this weekend. Earlier this month, a spokesperson for the golf business insisted that Trump’s—then three, now four—criminal indictments would not hamper proceedings, and that it was “business as usual” at the course.

adjective
  1. 1.
willing to respect or accept behaviour or opinions different from one's own; open to new ideas.
Places like this are like a potluck dinner. Some folks will bring string bean casserole, others will bring pigs in a blanket. Some folks will go all out and bring pulled pork. And others will bring curry. That's the point of a potluck dinner is there is something for everybody and even if it's not your cup of tea there's something new to try.

Nobody should be bringing dogshit to a potluck dinner and expecting folks to be willing to try a bite. And if it looks like shit and smells like shit, guess what? It's more than likely shit.
