Sounds like he's got a deal going to testify and he expects favors.

My guesss is that he had/has a deal going with smith on the Federal case and he felt comfortable with that because anything else that might have come up with the information he gives/gav would be covered and worse case scenarion would be if hee diid get any time, if a Republican won the 2024 Presidential race he would be able to get a pardon. That's why he's been fighting the Georgia case so hard because he has no protection there, he Federal deal means nothing and being state level there's no chance for a pardon.

Yeah, I can agree with you that Trump sucks, really didn't do a whole lot for the country. Biden definitely has done nothing good as well, Obama was a joke too 8 years and nothing good came out of it. George Bush fuck that guy too with his patriot act!!

Honestly I can't really be for any president who does not repeal the Patriot Act. They spy on everyone yet they won't stop a mass shooter who posts a manifesto before they go on a killing spree.

I don't mind taking the title of 'liberal' if you define it as catching up with the rest of the civilized world enjoying social evolution. The US is the only country that robs all the tax money and gives the people nothing. All that cash supports the elites. Other countries give the people medical, college, month long guaranteed vacations often with extra money, and retirement. We get a bullshit story and a bunch of name calling from the most under educated states that soak up all the government handouts (farm subsidies, military bases etc.).

The problem with Liberal as a title is that it means many different things to different people. Most people don't mind being called "Liberal" because for the most part it's a complimentary term. Generally it means someone that is open minded and who favors the right of indviduals to choose for themselves how they want to live. Where it begins to get complicated is when you connect specific things to it. Where it seems to cause the most problems is that liberalism promotes equality. Most people favor equality because they recognize treating each other as equals is what is best for the common good. Unfortunately there are those who strongly object to certain groups of people and therefore they are strongly against having to treat those groups as equals. This is most easily seen when you consider racists. A racist tends to see the group/race they belong to as being superior compared to other groups or races. They can tolerate the existence of other groups/races and can even live in the same general space as other groups/races but only as long as they are allowed to have or do things that lets them maintain their feeling of superiority. Where it causes divisions politically is when the government passes laws that gives the "others" equal rights to those who see themselves as superior. A good illustration of this is how things were in the US post slavery but pre Civil Rights. White people who tended to think of themselves as superior were perfectly fine sharing a town or a city with Black people, just as long as Black people had seperate bathrooms, seperate drinking fountains, seperate schools, seperate neighborhoods (which typically were the least desirable parts of a town or a city) etc. Once civil rights and anti discrimination/anti segregation laws were passed to treat people more equally and making it illegal for white people to continue to repress black people so the whites could maintain their sense of superiority, that's when it really became a problem to be liberal and that period in time was probably the start of the sharp divisions between the right and the left as it is today. Now most people bristle at being labelled a racist because deep down most people know that it's wrong to mistreat people simply based on what race they were born to and there is really no good defense of that sort of behavior. So to give other examples there is the unequal ways that women were/are discriminated against. For a long time this showed up as women not having the right to vote or own property among other things, until those pesky liberals came along and started passing more equitable laws towards women. In spite of those rights being granted we still see some of that discrimination still alive in the way women typically get paid less for doing the same work as their male coworkers. Still another good example is the inequalities that exist between the wealthy and the poor. Life is supposed to be miserable and hard for the pooor, filled with suffering and not very many opportunities. So the wealthy oppose things like food stamps or medicaid or college assistance. I mean why give the poor all this help? Where is their incentive to stop being lazy and actually go out and make a life for themselves ( even though the vast majority of wealthy people never had to face much hardship on their journey to get ahead in life). Those damnd liberals want to give them everything and pay for it with my tax money is how they tend to think, ignoring that if for some reason they fell on hard times those benefits would be just as available to help the wealthy. I could probably go on but I think you get the idea at this point.

we never were truly a "united" nation, not even in times of war. any suggestion of this is mere revisionist tripe. look at how we treated Japanese citizens here during WW2. even if their sons volunteered and served in combat on our behalf against their homeland, their relatives were sent to internment camps, losing their jobs, their homes etc. too many still cling to their fantasy and pretend that all " true Americans" had lily-white ancestors that came over on the damn Mayflower...

This is the way they think. There's just one problem. Red states are under achievers on contributions and very big receivers. In other words, they have their hands out and their mouths open. I tend to go with the concept of the person (or people) who pays the piper calls the tune. The majority of taxes paid do come from blue states.
