Trump thread part 2 (Or anything else we want to talk about that's ridiculous in politics today)

You know, it's funny but for the life of me I can't recall Hillary ever encouraging a mob to storm the Capital by telling them if they don't fight like hell they won't have a country anymore. Nor do I recall Joe Biden saying that or anything close to it. Well there was the one time, in response to Trump's "gatb them by the pussy" line and the excuse that's just normal guy's "locker room talk", where Joe said that he wished they were in High School so he could take Trump out behind the Gym, presumably to beat the crap out of him, a fight i would still gladly pay to see.

never could have happened. The Conald pays (or promises to) someone else to do everything for him, and take the rap for it when caught. kids are probably test-tube babies.

America, the only country where leftards whine about a "racist" for president and then run out and elect an actual racist to be president.
Joe Biden was wholly or partly responsible for: America's Drug Czar, for-profit prisons, the three strikes rule, reclassifying crack separately from powder and cranking up the penalties for possession of crack. Guess what demographic was harmed the most by those policies? I'll give you a hint, they weren't White.

I'm sorry but the average American is either fucking gullible or monumentally stupid when it comes to voting. My personal faves are the brainless twats who vote against someone without having a goddam clue what they're actually voting for. Morons vote against someone. Intelligent people vote for someone.

Example, unions are notoriously left-wing. Even though Biden said he was gonna scrap the Keystone XL pipeline, three unions who would have had jobs building it, voted for Biden.
What's sad is those morons then whined about about the cancellation of the pipeline. Like what in the ever loving fuck did they think was gonna happen? They voted for the guy who told America (and Canada) he was going to scrap the pipeline and then whined like little girls when he scrapped the pipeline. That is some next level cognitive dissonance.

Well to be fair, I doubt Biden would ever go thru with something like that even if he had the chance. It's real easy to seem tough with wishes that you know will never happen. Still it would be interesting to see who would put up the better fight?

That's somewhat unfair. in that for most of the primary Bernie was still very much in the running but then he had that health scare and the DNC decided to support Biden because he seemed like the best chance for beatin Trump at that point in time. The probllem is that not enough people participate in the primaries to raise up good choices for candidates and by the time we get to the General where people do participate the voters are left voting for the lesser of two evils, throwing away their vote on as third party that has virtually no chance of ever winning or just not voting at all. Biden didn't become president because he was this great all around candidate, he became president because he was less bad then Trump.

Meanwhile up in Canada out govt seems to think we're all fucking retarded or something. Violent crime has been steadily rising since 2016, just weeks after Trudeau was elected. Over the last 4 years it's increased by 23%. so it's literally skyrocketing.
Our newly minted Minister of Justice has informed us hopelessly misinformed souls that it's all in our heads and that things are just fine. And yet, StatsCan, a govt organ, shows that it's not all in our heads and that everything is NOT fine.

You know what's really bizarre though? So many Americans in 2016 and 2017 and 2018 and 2019 wished Trudeau could be their president. Which is really weird because Trudeau and Trump are VERY much alike. Trudeau attempted to obstruct justice, he's committed sexual (indecent) assault, he's a racist who's dressed up in Black face multiple times (although I don't believe Trump was racist)., Trudeau is also a sexist (who oddly claims to be a feminist), he's a wannabe dictator and in fact has tried twice to seize power for himself and managed to actually do it once, but he had to back down within a couple of days or so. Fuck man, he even had a convicted Indian terrorist in his entourage when he visited India on a govt junket that he decided to turn into a taxpayer-paid family vacation. He also made some hefty cash when he sold pandemic-related stuff to China, not as a govt transaction but as a personal one for himself.

The man denied, denied, denied Chinese interference in our elections and policies and when he couldn't hide it any longer, he merely stated that his party didn't benefit from it at all. Not even a tiny bit. His Foundation sure did though.
Then there's conflict of interest after conflict of interest. Hell, any time Team Turd-o manages to go a couple of months without a conflict of interest it's like betting pool time. How long until the next conflict of interest, pick a date.
Too bad Trudeau's name isn't Don, because that fucker really is made of teflon.

Less bad than Trump lol That's cute. One of Trump's first EOs was to restore the funding to Historically Black Colleges and Universities that Obama had slashed. Trump then boosted that funding even higher. He and Vanilla Ice also created a development fund for Black entrepreneurs and communities. Trump's a bombastic twat no doubt but one thing he wasn't was racist. Not wanting a bunch of undocumented illegals running around your country isn't racist, it's fucking common sense.
You know what else? Despite being labeled a war-monger just waiting to push the red button, not only did the US not get involved in any new wars under Trump, it also didn't escalate any that it was currently fighting at the time. I mean the guy authorizes one cruise missile attack on a Syrian airfield and the media and leftards acted like he was starting WW3. Same when he whacked that Iranian general who was also a known terrorist.

At this point I think I should clarify something. When I use the term "leftards" I don't mean everyone who sits on the left side of the political spectrum. I respect actual liberals. I may not always agree with them but I respect them in their ability to cogently argue a point. Unlike so many on the ALT-left who simply resort to screaming and hysterics and calling everyone who disagrees with them "nazis" or "racists".

And yes, you make a fair point about your electoral system so I do apologize for the unfair generalization.

how about calling yourself union Joe and making it illegal for rail worker unions to strike?

I'd still never vote for trump

You dont see this behavior with in the MAGA Republican base?

In the great awakening thread I was called a Nazi because i called out one of the members for spouting lies and pressed him to explain how he wasnt lying so dont think that type of rhetoric is Only the domain of the Alt-left.

nope, not for any reason foreseeable. you can't, for any damn reason, vote for a blatant fucking criminal. that shit is how Germany ended up with Herr Fuhrer and Italy with Il Duce. okay, maybe in Chicago for mayor, but not for POTUS...

Say what you will about how he handled the situation, at the end of the day the railroad workers got their sick days and we avoided a strike that would have crippled the economy. Everybody got what they wanted.

Yep. And all it took was intimidating railroad officials

Railroad Officials sounds kind of like some sort of oversight and accountability office. Why would Joe want to intimidate them?

Maybe because "railroad official" is a way to obfuscate that they are in fact the railroad companies and their suppliers.

For anyone who is feeling uneasy about the fact that Trump and the Republicans might do well in the 2024 election I would recommend reviewing how the recent Special Election played out in Ohio. In case you don't know there is a push to enshrine abortion rights into Ohio state law as a way of overcoming and protecting the right of women to decide what they can do with their bodies after the SCOTUS decided to ignore settled law and 50 years of precedent with their ruling recently that undid Roe v Wade. So the Republican lawmakers in the state who are in favor of keeping women from having any abortion rights, came up with a special election in August on what they called "Issue One" which was a proposed measure to raise the percentage required to pass ballot initiatives from needing a 50% majority to pass up to a 60%. Now this wasn't just about abortion per se but the abortion issue and how the voters feel about it is being seen by virtually everyone as the driving force behind the results of this special election. With 57% voting against Issue one making it a clear and decisive win in favor of the voters.

What is most significant about what happened was the number of voters who participated. See the Republicans were hoping that by making the change from 50% to 60% an issue in an August Special election there would be low voter turnout as has been the case historically. I mean August is typically a month where many are vacationing. Also with the unusually hot weather they were hoping few would be willing to go out in the heat and stand in long lines to vote. Also special elections just like primaries are known for low turn outs compared to General Elections. They figure that only the most avid followers of politics will turn out for a special election. Clearlly they were wrong and as a result when it comes to passing ballot intiatives the required percentage to pass remains at 50% This clearly demonstrates that the electorate is paying much more attention and is much more motivated then they thought. This isn't just true for Ohio though. This is a good indication of where the electorate of the entire country is at and suggests that what will happen in November 2024 will be a much harder battle then Republicans, MAGA or Trump are expecting.

Sure, Trump is doing incredibly well in the polls for a candidate who is currently embroiled in multple legal battles that will only get worse between now and November 2024. At the end of the day though Trump's popularity is just with registered Republicans and even within that group his popularity is shrinking. If the turnout in 2024 of registered voters is anything at all like the ohio Special E;ection then it's all but guarenteed that Trump will not win. Not only that but if Republicans keep playing the Culture War and Revenge poitics they've been engsged in rather then addressing the real issues that the voters are struggling with then it's very likely Democrats will take back the House, increase their majority in the Senate and hold on to the Presidency.

It also shows how angry republicans, especially women, are about being taken back to the Stone Age on women's rights. Many people are single issue voters and are pissed off about what a minority group did by pushing their religious right values on the rest of the country. Pro abortion and pro law and order people make up a significant percentage of the party and they have had enough of the bullshit.
