Don’t bother having any alternative views in these threads. You’re either part of the new moral majority or you’re a crazy conspiracy theorist, apparently there is nothing in between. You must conform, it’s for the good of the children don’t you know!

If you bring wild ass claims in here, be prepared to defend them with more than a Substack article, FOX news, Newsmaxx, OANN, or any other far right extremist news source. But you can't because they don't exist outside of that silo of information you choose to live in.

Echo chambers exist at both ends of the political spectrums, right wing media doesn’t hold a monopoly of propaganda, they just don’t have to use educated words and long winded think piece articles with actual references to achieve the same goal. Looking down on and shitting on a whole section of society that thinks differently than another is a dangerous place for a nation to be. I definitely skew left in my view of life, but those calling themselves the “left” in the USA currently sound exactly like the moral majority party of the 80’s. There seems to be very little room for liberty in those that are calling themselves liberal these days. But, at least they base themselves in reality, the right has gone so far down the rabbit hole it’s scary that anyone in the world would take that q-anon, boogaloo boy wannabe militia bullshit as anything other than complete theatre. But here we are, with the US on the brink of nuclear war in a conflict they aren’t directly involved in and a country divided so much that we have half the country supporting the ones who will likely bomb you. This period of time is going to look very interesting in the history books.

they always have. but before, there was never a majority of one party actively trying to prevent people from voting in a naked grab for power instead of engaging in a duel of competing ideas and visions about where we should be heading. a minority is trying to prevent the majority from electing those that hold the same views. in no universe is that anything even remotely approaching "democracy" as we have always understood it.

there will no doubt be a crowd, probably a few speeches. most of the crowd will be there hoping to see something horrible, just like many race fans go hoping to see some wrecks. MTG will probably do something stupid if she shows up, she's running low on "street cred" lately...

Yeah I caught a bit of a Townhall on CNN with Chris Christie who was a former Federal Prosecutor and based on his experience prosecuting those same types of charges he estimates that the indictment only reveals about 1/3rd the evodence they have against Trump. As much as I hate to say it because I really dislike Chris Christie but he made alot of great points about Trump, the crimes he's commited and the harm he's done to the country.

For the vast majority it is a trap just like it was on Jan 6th. The people really willing to bring the violence like the Oath Keepers and the proud boys know they don't have the muscle to manage an attack on their own on a place like a Federal Court in a Major city or on the Capital. So they whip up the ignorant masses who as misguided as they are think they're just being true patriots when in fact they are just cannon fodder so that these Militia groups might pull off their own agenda that has zip to do with patriotism.

I saw some of this interview. To say Christie is two faced would be an understatement. On size alone he could get four. He called Chump out on his previous run, then he turned into an ass kisser after Chump won, and still got screwed out of any appointments. He continued to kiss ass hoping something would come his way and it did not. Now he's back to being a half truther and lying about Biden. Overall, I'd say he is a POS.

And that's why I don't hang out in echo chambers. This place is hardly an echo chamber because apparently anybody can say anything outrageous here and Gypsy gives zero fucks.

One side has reasonable, nuanced ideas and goals they want to achieve. The other side wants to rule and don't care how they do it as long as they are the ones in power. If you can't tell the difference between the 2, I can't help you.

Conspiracies aside, I follow a simple rule I was taught in elementary school. And it has held up very well over the years - There are 3 sides to every story; his side, her side, and the truth. (Which is usually in the middle of the other 2.)
