Yeah I wouldn't argue with any of the points you made just now but I wouldn't argue with the points he made about Trump in that Town Hall either. Trump is doing everything he's doing because his ego refuses to allow him to accept that he lost in 2020 to Biden. Trump is also solely responsible for all the division going on in our politics and Trump is solely responsible for the destruction of the GOP, which on the surface might sound great to someone who supports the Democratic party but it isn't because having a viable opposition party helps to keep things in check rather then a party getting too full of itself and becoming overrun by corruption.

I was ok with it until he started trash talking Biden. Christie did call out Chump, but as said, if Chump won he would be right back to kissing ass. Biden has done ok in a tough adversarial environment and way more than his predecessor.

Well of course he's going to trash talk Biden he's running for the Republican nomination and all the hopes of the Republican party are pinned on blaming everything wrong right now on Biden even if they know it's not true. Besides Christie once tried to do the honorable thing and gave Obama praise for his disaster response to a hurricane and he caught a lot of grief from fellow republicans for it. To be completely fair though Democrats have been known to do the same thing to Republican incumbants although they're not quite as bad about it. That's one of my biggest gripes about how campaigns are run. I don't want to hear someone's opinion of how badly a politician has screwed up, I can make that accessment for myself what I want to hear from a candidate is two things. First I want to hear them correctly identify the problems the country is facing and two I want to hear in detail what they are going to do to solve that problem. That's it, anything else is just noise.

Actually Trump's best bet is if the judge he appointed, Judge Aileen "Loose" Cannon, who will be presiding over this historic case that has no real precedents and who is totally unqualified to preside over because she has only sat in judgement for 4 very simple felonies with a grand total of 14 trial hours under her belt, refuses to recuse herself. If she manages to stay n place over this case and make similar absurd motions like she did in the beginning then there is the very real potential she can drag this case out until after the 2024 election is over and if anyone but Biden or some other Democrat wins, then Trump will likely get his pardon.

This was part of the original espionage act, it’s been repealed, but I think the original intent of the law is clear.
“The Sedition Act of 1918 (Pub. L. 65–150, 40 Stat. 553, enacted May 16, 1918) was an Act of the United States Congress that extended the Espionage Act of 1917 to cover a broader range of offenses, notably speech and the expression of opinion that cast the government or the war effort in a negative light or interfered with the sale of government bonds.”
You're over thinking it. First of all none of that is necessary. The charges he's guilty of are part of laws currently in place and are well established law concerning the handling of national defense documents. Most of it is open and shut based on the documents being found in Trump's possession and Trump on video and audio openly admitting he took them and tried to keep them and in at least one case admitting he knew they were not his to keep. All of which is because he totally misunderstands the Presidential Records Act and falsely believes the Presidential Records act allows him to basically claim any document he wants to claim as his personal property. Which should be obvious to anyone with the slightest understanding of the history of Watergate and what then President Nixon was attempting to do with government records. The law he's getting wrong was created because of the Watergate Scandel and is meant to help make sure things like that don't happen and it actually does the exact opposite of what he is claiming everytime he openly confesses to his crimes. The law does not required the documents to be classified or declassified nor does it require any proof that he did or intended to share the information with anyone else. Although one of the recordings they have as evidence clearly has him showing the information to someone not authorized to see it.
The only thing Judge Aileen "Loose" Cannon can do is delay things by entertaining every claim the defense tries to make even though everyone knows it won't go anywhere. She's not even a major threat because there are steps that the DOJ could take to get her removed from the case if they wanted to but for now it looks like they're not trying to go that route in order to avoid any possible perception of unfair treatment.
What is most particularly sad and pathetic about the whole affair is that it all could have been as easily avoid as it was for both Pence and Biden. Except Trump's ego made it impossible for him to be told what he can and can not do and most likely because he just wanted to hang on to these things for bragging rights and because he though it made him look cool. Yet this is the buffoon and total Moron that the Republican Party wants to tie themselves to. If it weren't for the potential chance that Trump might some how manage to get reelected (which currently seems virtually impossible) and the harm he could do if that were to somehow happen I bet the democrats would be tempted to just let Trump destroy what's left of the republican party.
