chaman - great :D pics - tell your mate its top class pics :D

halfdef :D - how are ya man :D - i will start a new EAGL (euro-american growers lounge) in a few days :D when i get time to post :D

Paz verde - creo que si voy a plantar - pero aun no se 100% cuando - por eso voy a sacar los esquejes esta finde, para estar preparado.

when the clones are done i will be prepared to plant :D in spain u can also plant out in beginning of june - and the plants will almost get bigger than the earlier planted ones :D - its because now the days are short enough to make the plants start to flowering a bit - meanwhile later they will get 16 hours of light directly - this means from a indoor with 18h lights there is very little chock :D and the plants just boost away :D

peace

"Mediterranean Growing" :D

Usually the autumn is 'sweet' here (althought with the climate changes the last years and you cant predict nothing). Some years ago a friend planted some seeds around the end of June/August and harvested them with no problem exactly at the end of October.

Bone,

If i remember well you have olive trees in your area ? Nothing like sitting & smoking under these very old trees ... :D

Happy times to everybody

Learning to Plant

1st Victory ,, Guysss THANKS A LOT!!!! REALLLY you did the best job.......

now its my first time im gonna plant cannabis, i`ve experimented with Albaca in my house its funny but i learned too much things.., "Now i`ve got in my hands bout 30 seeds from Presado :chin: , it was a good quality of grass, i tasted it and the high was good and i was lucky cuz i find good seeds , now..........i found the place..... but its not raining .. I DONT know what its happening with the climate its different... in fact i was researching about the plant, and it needs too much nutrients, i think that the nature Mothers "Pachamama" can take her own power ....... but about Natural Pesticides and other things im so amateur ..... mm the Garlic s good to avoid Ants its a good date . but i dont know enough to plant a good qualityi of cannabis...

byeee Peace .....

Blessed.....as I was getting all to worried about have'n to start another thrad somewhere else, AGIAN ! jejej soo great too see the site back up.

LOLOL,
Jah guides, protects, and provides. Once you've give'n thanks you can move on to a next step, and thats just doing it ! jeje prepare your soil, each time you'l try something different, but give that it's time. What works for a person in one place doesn't always work for everyone, but there are basics.

Macro. These are the nutrients that a plant needs most. They come N, P, K
High N means more growth. High P with lower N means better for flower. K I beleave helps in aspects such as branching. Higher amounts of N when young gives a better start, and with good humidty also asures more females. There are 2 types of N. One like Urea, and the other like Nitrates. Ureas are slower I feel to release as they come in pelets and normaly strong dose, little goes a long way. But these give streach. Longer nodes (nodes are segments between each leaf set) so taller more lanky plants result. Nitrates promote great growth ! and tighter nodes at the same time.

Acido Humicos help promote more root developement.

If you feel you must use a fertilizer, please do this....Dilute it. Lets say for example a very common used garden fert like...ever green. Get th spray bottle, and buy a same size bottle spay but empty, when home por half the evergreen in the empty bottle and fill both back up with water and instead of a strong dose once a month you can give 2weeker doese 2x a month which does the plant much better.

Pachamama no hay que subestimar ! jeje don't underestimate mother nature my frind as she has things going on in her magic we will never undestand....jejej kinda like the $20 dolar bill.....jeje theres alot of freaky shit going on in there ;)

Worm castings are the best when plants are young, take some time and read about them, also Chicken, rabit, cow, horse, calf, goat manure are normaly rich in amino acidos y amonias that decompose to N. if you wanted to go organic please read more about composting and manure element tables. I'd give you a link....but lost them all in OG.

Choose'n a spot is the hardest...but once you do your job is to be a great host. The plant and nature do the rest...if you metes la mano to much you can do more harm then good. Got to know when to let a plant be. She will tell you in time what she needs.

Too much of a good thing can be bad...Cannabis realy doesn't need much more then say tomatoes jejeje ;) Albaca is a great herb, very nice for meats and such....also strong smell, that along with other aromatic herbs are graet to plant near cannabis for pest, animal and human controll.

Pesticide you got residual and evaporadas...residual will stick to the plant for longer priod of time and are normaly pesticides to be used respectfully. Evaporadas son como las que repell things then evaporate or washd off. Garlic, with hot peppers and a drop of liquid soap are great repellents that evaporate off, or are easy to wash off. Pesticides sometimes need too be washed off and aren't recomended on flowered plants as its close to harvest time. While young it's safer but still a last resource.

Prensado will in most cases be a sativa dominante plant. I hope your a patient person...and have some space. They can be faster if you do diff tricks we've mentioned in the thread already. I do grantee though after each harvest your next one will be better.

oh eveny tacky paper, or fly paper can do alot jeje been wrap'n it around my stems on plants that where getting eatt'n alive at night by catapillers aht would hid in my dirt in the day make'n it imposible to find unless I watered them too much. So these come out at night climb on the paper and get stuck. Nice and easy jejeej

This was a nice rant and all but prob already confuse'n jejej best to put the seeds in and ask as you go along. take notes and realy observe your plants..dont look at them, I mean observe them please.

Lolol,
Where on the globe are you ?
Are you growing these guerrillerra ? or on own land ? (by this I ask jsut to see how often and what kind of care you might be able to offer your plant)

Prensado seeds are normaly Sativa, or Sat domin if coming from South America. If coming from Jamiaca may be diff as these are much more hybird. I beleave to have read many times over that Mexican is also Sat dom.

In sat dom cases you might want start many numbers in small or medium size cups. Kill the weekest (this is always hard for me jeje) and those with triats you less desire. Wiat for males and kill those unless you wish to have a seeded crop. By this time your females should be starting oposite phylo and some hiars have shown. (2-3months if under 12hrs) Should have your keepers by now. If grown in a place with more hrs of light, you'd might not have them sexed but still shoud have been able too kill off a good amount and have some keepers, Unfortiunite still males and females but nice growing/bushing plants.

You can pinch tops for more bush style plants or tie down your tips and provoc the same effect, and save the untire plant. You can even snap stems here and there jeje it's all good they come back stronger ;) This too keep them down. The small root space also helps...as larger root space the much larger the plant ! Becarefull not too over stress of course as you could get higher then normal % of hermies and males. Third way to keep them small is to water only when necesary. I mean litteraly almost let them wilt before each time you water. The more frecuent you water the faster they can grow.

Put them in about an inch in the ground and be pendent of when they are born, keep the soil humid. If seedlings have too long a stem and seem to lean, you simply add more soil around its base till about an inch from th cotidons. Hopefuly with wormcastings mix. No feeding untill the plants are at least 6 to 8 inches tall.

Hope this help some, as plants grow water less. Too strong of wins should be avoided too.

Best of luck !
Chaman

Over here the rainy season is about to start...in 3 weeks about. But the sun is still strongly shining and there isn't enough rain! I live in the highlands and my plants are not from my area originally so they burn if I don't water them before noon...

solrebl,
The rians have started here a few weeks ago, each week getting stronger as more humidity builds up each time, it will rain more as there is more to evaporate and the days get more muggy, hot and humid so awesome incredible mornings with heavey thunderstorms in the afternoons is the resuslt, as things get worse or further into the rain season it just becomes almsot rains all day and night, jeje it sounds bad but raly isn't unless its a light rian. Light rian here is still the hardest rain i've seen to fall in Northern V.A jeje but if it rains light, it rians all day litteraly. Normaly it will just down poor, I mean you can't see the car infront of you, or your nieghbors house though a wall of rain, when this happens the streets alsmot flood and it's prety intence feel like you roof won't hold up, gutters over flow, and all ! jeje but it only will rian for a little while as the skies drop all they got once and for all. You can guess right, power goes out alot, phones now and then, and water every once in a while has to be checked, as all water sources get intences filling from mts and rivers that are now full of debree and sedements from the travel.

Rain season here can be very intence, but over all its a true blessing as for everything gets washed down, and refreshed. Everything comes to life, as water is the true source of life !

You can still find plenty of time to be out side and enjoy it is the best part about it ! but just got too be realy carefull when near creeks, rivers and sudden rushes like tidal waves happen all too fast. Water that gets cuaght up in little damns up in he mts and hills start to over fill, and bust, each carry'n all that water and debree to th next damm, then it happens agian and agian...by the time its reached near the bottom or lower lands its a larg wave of debree and must dangerous place too be ! Realy sad as lots of people disapear this way...only to be found days later miles away.

My yard becomes a swamp almost at times...realy need to have about knee high ruber boots and a poncho, jej but you can litteraly watch the grass grow ! everything grows so intence and colors come all back too life.

LOL
Venezuela is a place of many beauties indeed, but if it's rain'n then its the perfect time to start seeeds !!! Its when seeds are born naturaly...

I'm more then happy to be of any help, jeje there is nothing like knowing that if I fall, many will take my place. To asure this the more people who can take time to learn to grow and show some love for this plant the better !

I recomend you keep try'n...i'm serious, please jsut try agian and agian. Once you can start your seeds more sucsesfully and veg them and all with better rates id then recomend to try seeds of more care as most of these will be due to origins from around the wolrd not climatized to your enviroment.

I use ash too, but only a little at a time as I was once told by Unlce Ben that ash can be prety strong and an excelent source of N.

Pick your seeds, try too look for the more heavy ones, no cracks in the shell, nice greys or browns, not white or black. Check for nice markings in hybird and indica cases mostly for they are signs of more mature seeds. Seeds from sativas can be small, jeje its amazing to think such a small seed can make such a larg plant ! but look for the fattest and largest these normaly have higher birth rates. Only keep seeds from the better smokes youve enjoyed too. Not worth the trouble if the seeds came from a bad smoke.

Don't underestimate your grows. You can be surprised my friend.

I'll be more then happy to send you some seeds then.

Im glad we are back up here, I owe a few some seeds here and was afriad we lost contact ! jeje I hope to get these out soon.

Wally,
Wonderfull pics !! jeje glad the sun finaly came around for you...I bet your spending alot of time checking for signs of molds, i'm sorry to hear your plants are soo far along in the middle of such bad weather. My cusin has them cannopy sets they sell at "pricesmart" here that are like portable tarps withs all the posts and frame work, its realy cool cuase it folds all up like an unbrela in a way, then it streaches out too a 12'x12'square about 10' high maybe 12' high in the center. Hes got sand bags out there and when it rians runs out and sets them up over his plants....but jejej you've got to many.

I've got to save and build my greenhouse !! jejej damn its hard to save up sometimes indeed.

Love too see some many diff plants all side by side out in the open...kinda wish humans could get along that way.

Hello to all, good to have this thread back :)

Tropical friends you have your rain season, we mediterraneans have some hot and burning sun these days, i just cant get myself out of the sea ...

I have a question thats in my mind lately ...

Does altitude affects the whole growth of a plant ? And how ? Is everybody growing up in the mountains ? Anyone at sea level or near it ? :)

Cool vibes to all ! :)

B

bonecarver_OG

at sea level the thc production is not at its highest - also an other drawback is the salty and humid air.

peace :D

Blessed,
great see'n ya'll coming back around ! jeje

Wamen,
As always thanks for the kind words.

Soul Rebel,
I wrtoe you back my friend, like I said please stick around and keep in touch, as i'll be make'n some soon I hope.

JimmyEatWorld,
Yes, here in Costa Rica we are be'n reborn under these rains....as the old yr gets washed away indeed. I hope your enjoy'n the sun for the rest of us and take'n advantage of it !

I have read a few times that Cannabis reacts to dif stress, in dif ways. One stress is UVb. These kind of stress is more stressfull at higher altitudes. It stress's the plant in a way that the plant will produce more tric's to "protect" the flowers while they try to be fertilize and carry a seed. So to protect from the sun and they make more trics is the theory. While at sea level I beleave the UVb isn't as bad, plants aren't as stressed. Think you get more UVa at sea level...but not sure maybe someone has a nice link to share.

Bone,
Great too see you bro, hope all is cool runnings.

chaman - allways :D

i read this thread everyday - those nice pics make me think back at traveling days.

seems there is 10-12 times more uv-A than uv-B at sea-level. and uv-A seems to be far more dangerous than uv-B - atleast for us. if anyone finds link about uv-affecting plants it would be really intersting.

i found a link about the different types of uv-radiation for ya all.

Bone,
Great link, thanks kindly as it explains in a simple way the effects of the spectrum of light, i do beleave that plants since have'n cell walls would be efected differently ofcourse but still was a nice read indeed as it gives the detials on UVa and UVb nicely.

Thanks for take'n the time to find and post it.
