Great pictures every one........ specialy all those beautiful south american lanraces, i love my land races too. Im going to pop some very special Mexican Sativa, that has been growing near the popocateptl volcano for many years.....it is hard to pin down where this strain came from at first. because it is so diferent from any other Mexi weed i have ever smoked..... it is cousin of the purple zacatecas but the beens i got where handed to me by a farmer that has had the same customers since the 70's ( i think this shows how good it is) i will post some pictures here if you guys let me as soon as i start growing them........ i have only smoked it once and i liked it cause it is not paranoi inducing like most mexicans and it has the most sweet kinda like honey with a hint of lemon taste and smell.....nothing like most mexicans that smell skunky and very lemony.......

bueno yo solo queria expresar algo que es verdad, yo no estoy negando el uso, solo critico la dependencia de algo que me parece que es muy bueno pero tambien tiene su parte mala como to lo existente en este plano,

Con refeente a lo de los yoguis no me parece que ellos tubieran los mismos problemas o complicaciones de nuestro mundo actual, menos se imaginaban que existiria tanta violencia y pobreza mundial mucho menos caos economico como el que vemos inclusive en latinoamerica por eso tampoco no me enfoco totalmente en un mundo de luz que se apaga cada vez mas con tanta violencia y muerte a nivel mundial. la luz propia Es lo que aun muy pocos conocen, y no creo que una persona violenta que fuma vaya a ser mas pasivo por que hay un juego psicologico que es muy fuerte y puede terminar en un caos emocional diferente.

yo si te digo que tube un accidente hace un tiempo atras y el dolor no me podia pasar con los analgesicos que me mando el doctor asi que cuando opte por fumar quede desconcertado del efecto tan grandioso que pude recibir aparte del placer de no sentir dolor, el enfrentamiento psicologico de no poder mover mi brazo izquierdo fue muy bien superado, no hubo ningun efecto secundario,

pero me entristece ver que la mayoria de la gente que fuma son personas relativamente mediocres por el mismo efecto que tiene con la memoria y la atencion, hay que ser claros que no todos estan preparados para una legalizacion creo que falta mucho estudio, yo solo busco el bien de todos sin exclusion

Disculpen si ofendi el criterio de alguien presente, pero yo no me enfoco directamente a una sola cosa o objetivo, cada quien aprende a su manera yo aprendo mucho de esto pero tambien hay mucho conocimiento que podemos obtener sin necesidad de estar fumando todos los dias.. eso es lo que pienso yo

Hey Chaman, Great pics as always! I am not amazingly pleased with the following pics but they show the plants well enough, the only sativa i have flowering is grapefruit.
Here's a closish, the plants are maybe just over a week into flower and i could do with a bit of stretch as she is smaller than my others.




and this is my main indoor grow area small but effective.




Anyway good luck if you need any, women have got me stressed out so going to go smoke some hash.

.....SO WHAT YA WAIT'N FOR !!! jeje please by all means post your pics of Mexican sativas ! i've only try'd 3 dif types of Mex my cusisns brought back from some trip to see the ruins. Well the first one wasn't all that great seeds where taken from the jay he bought of a conner near a bus stop...the other seeds from near the ruins more out of the city, these where nice, and the last ones not sure which beach or place he went near a coast that was great too. One of the last 2 had the redesta hairs ive ever seen! I think he used it in this cross....or genetics of it as he is crazy like that....doenst give a damn about names, if its good he'l take it, and cross it to anyhitng that shows up ! jeje has some crazy crosses over the yrs fom mutant plants to some of the more ostonishing plants seen...jeje but no way to reproduce them, or work with them. You cross a A sativa to his ABCDEF......Mix jeje you never know what to expect. But love to smoke it ! jejee

Chaman you are very right on getting things done. When I was younger (20's), I used to be able to do projects around the home with a nice buzz going, but as I am reaching the end of my 30's I now wait until all my work is done(home, wife, kids) before lighting up. No worries. I will on occasion smoke a little during the day on a weekend if all I have to do is ride a bike or play some soccer with the boys. One thing I really like about the Alibi strain is the coming done. No hangover and you just gently come back down to earth.

With males I do not think most of use get our shit together until we are around 26-28 years old. I think our testosterone levels are just too high to focus on non-female anatomy for very long...lol

One thing we did as teenagers is cut grass and lawn work all summer long in east Texas with temperatures 90+ F and 90% humidity. We would work 8-4 all day. But we would smoke cheap Mexican sativa all day also, with plenty of energy and plenty of laughs.

If we had been smoking indicas, we would never have left the Air Conditioning......

we're in agreement Mr.Chaman, hence why it always seems strange to me to see people switch/change their minds so suddenly about things a few moments ago they were believing in... this is typical of people with a weak criteria who are easily dogmatized. it is good to self-critize and dwell in introspection, but jumping to conclusions and then assuming others are making the same mistakes you have made, well, it is kind of ridiculous... i wrote in spanish to spare others from having to witness the mild pedagogic rant of mine

personally, i don't smoke everyday, not even every week. and i like to prepare strong bhang lassi every now and then to send me out of context it is always good to shake all the shit inside of us once in a while, and cannabis is a great teacher at that.
but you see, some people aren't aware of how each of us handle entheogens, and assume we're all drug-addicts seeking mere sense-pleasures...Bacchus spoke well in saying most males under 28 aren't able to go beyond their own desire to satisfy the senses, but do you think people who are easily impressed would think someone who uses cannabis to be able to reach this sort of conclusions? people and their prejudices, amazing

jeje man we got some incomon...I did lawns and landscape'n as long as I can remember jeje from the first time my dad slipd me an extra $10 cuase I mowed the lawn one week with my alawence, light bulb when on ! jeje said screw paper route ! getting up so early lug'n papers in bad weather even everyday ! even sundays...one day i just kept going....did my yard and the one next door...the lady came out so happy and gave me a crisp $50.00 no shit. I smiled and said same time next week ? and then asked the house in my nigheberhood...before I knew it I needed help, few buddies and I made great money, enough to have our own cars by 16, none of that if your bad i'll take your car keys jejeje shits MINE !

So yeah I got my first house at 25, figure i'm on track kids are going along great, and doing well in school, wife just finished getting her licence in farmacia...so been give'n me more time to do things around the yard now, and fix'n up the house nice so joint here a joint there jeje bong here and bong there but by the time everyone comes home the "to do list" is done, and dads in a great mood jeje...but think'n seriously about going back to school...almost too much free time.

Greetenings to everyone who have posted, I´ve read the whole thread and learn so much!!!! I´m also from Costa Rica and have made some attepts to grow weed round here, but never too serious, just let me tell you a little about me first.
Many of you when you see those incredible picks from Chaman and the very true things about our weather, thinks that all around here is a smoke paradaise, I´ve been smoking for some years now, not telling how many but enough to have birthday party !!!! but 99% of this time we have to smoke brick, or cajeta (the way we call it here) = pressed pot, and the quality is very poor some times, and not healthy at all, sometimes with white fongus, and for sure many chemicals, and the fact that is not a well taken cultive, well enough sad stories. the true is that in our country you can get for sure very good quality also, but with the prices in $$ that you can´t afford, maybe in a birthday or new year´s but in my case not for every day smoking.
Somedays ago I had the oportunity of travel and went to places that pleople smoke very high quality mariguana, and many types, buying from cheap prices or growing their own, well for not to make the story long, I brought some seeds back and planning to in a near future never smoke brick again and only smoke good happy healthy pot..... jajaja can´t wait!!!!
I´ve always liked plants and growing some, I have some that have been with me some years now, and Im planning to put my plants in the mointains, in the wild where they belong, and some friend recomended this site, and with luck I found this wonderfull thread about growing them here!!!! i have so much to ask and tell that if a put into one post it will be too long...

I brought from Amsterdam 15 seeds of a AK 47, I chose those not because of weather or indoor outdoor, I chose those because of taste and Hi, I tryed like 5 types on netherlands but AK 47 I liked the most, I will descrived the places that I'm plannig to put them, in all the places that I will descrived I already have study safe spots to put them, I know very good this mountains and know my way around them:
A friend of mine offered me his home to grow some, he lives in a good big place without to worry about security or strangers, it's in la carpintera, to the east of san jose near tres rios, 1300-1500 msnm, very high humidity beacuse is a paso de nubes, my only concern is that there are many pines, o pinos y cipreses, that make the soil poor, this place I can have full access every day and can prepeard the soil in andvanced.
Another place is more high ground, in the cerro de la muerte mountains, I have acces to a large region of mointains containing micro climes, from 1500 mts to probably 2200 mts, some places with more humidity and primary forest, also secondary forests, potreros with forrest, only potreros, this region is very isolated and very few strangers, to this places I can go once a week and with limited carring capacity, a medium back pack.
Do you know which maybe be the best clima for this type, the AK?? I'm already with two seeds that putted directly into moist soil in a green house, to see if they make it, this is near the cerro de la muerte, in a small valley, I alredy hace prepered some soil here's the mix,
Soil, it was already in great shape, black, loosen, with worms already working, I put some ashes from plants, chiken shit, and some rice cascara and some little slices of wood (colochos de acerradero despedazados), also some 20-20-20 with water, I dig a 2.5-3 gallon hole in the ground and put the new mix there, the spot is a semi dense neighborhood, it's almost imposible to see the place, and it is private, my concern there is a thiev and not the police, I planning to leave a plant there and take the other in the mountain to see what happens, but for sure I will take more to the wild,
I know that your knowledge on this matter is great, so looking forward to read your sugestions...

Bueno, thanks for the nice words, but lets get back to business.

Cerro de la muerte...it's cold, wet, and yes isolated...cold makes for slow growth. Too much water can only be good for a pure sativa, and even then there is a such thing as too much of a great thing. Ak-47 would be honestly more happy down south or up north where you find DRY TROPICAL FORESTS.

Cerro de la muerte is wonderfull...if your a puma, quetzal,sloth...jeje but not if your try'n to be a happy Cannabis plant.

Tres Rios might have a similar climate as my self...jeje and its a pain to grow certian hybirds and indica dominate plants other then in our dry season. These are best to be started the last month of our rain season...November, or December, to give a great start, but finish in dry season, not in the rains.

I too have micro climates, where i live is the main entrance too all the humidty that comes in from the Atlantic coast into San Jose. So I suffer a great deal to humidity, if not for my greenhouse i'd be growing indoors...and even then my greenhouse isn't doing as nice as I wish it could.

Ak-47 is an excelent hybird, i too enjoy the taste and high/stone but don't consider growing it outdoors in open rain season...we are still to many months from dry season, and the take no more then 3 to 4 months from seed to finish here...nver mind the 47 buding day myth...your not growing her in the conditions the breeder had.

I hope this helps, and please when use'n wood...becarefull as if it's not properly composted it will suck up Nitogren instead of giving off.

jeje gusto saludarte, ok about the wood.

My cusins at the farm have a machine that conects to a spinning wheel, its heavy and iron, on eacf curved "spoke" of the wheel a type of machete is screwed on. This thing spins realy fast and strong.

They have a long table, they set the spinning blades at the end of it and push canes, sticks, overgrown grass, leaves, i mean you name it in yard waste, and diced salads for cows to shop'n up nosey neighbors.

This fine diced wood chips compost the quickest, but still take a good deal of time...depending on type of wood you can use it as mulch in decorate'm yards

Me...after a while I end up burn my compost piles down as they become rathe larg too offten, the ash is the fastest avialble feed and high in N, besides water from fish tanks but need to be carefull on amounts per container...open ground is much more forgiving.

i used to work in the timber industry and had a lot of sawdust available , and used it in the garden , potting up etc ,,,
i found a few things as i went ,, it was best to let the sawdust get a wet season on it , to dampen it all down , and let a lot of the crap drain out ,, we also used to use it in pathways and then throw it up onto the beds once it had rotted down ..
also have used it many times in the garden along with lawn clippings , all fresh , and just added some more chicken manure as i went ,, its amazing what work the worms will do with that once they are active ...

jejej and the mushrooms pop up too it the right season, jeje just bring home a few cow pattys about that time

My cusins have alot of sawdust in there fert mix due to it's picked up from the stalls where they have from pigs to goats and calfs and chicken coop floor, but these mountians are shifted and rotated often on a big concrete flat thay have and covered with a black plastic...all that animal waste and other biodecompose'n elements realy help compost it, but still its about almost a yr per each mound to be realy ready to be used in a container, specialy since at the wrong time you have so many crazy little critters live'n in there that they just pyrana down any roots found, as these are the clean up crew...once they've choped down along with the worms, beatles and so forth and many rotations jeje you come up with a realy rich mix, with red hints from the old sawdust, bits of shreded hey. Cusins I think even use the bug activity as an indicator.

I've read and used coffee left over from my wifes daily brew, and that realy atracts worms to you worm box jejeje but feel in good doeses is a good food too...jeje not sure it they might might wake up your plants, but they do perk up nice and stench around the soil has kept certian slugs and pillers away...even then the doble sided tape around stems catches critters on there way up or down my stems here and there which is cool...specialy adhids, jeje and mantis love it as it keeps there food nice and still, but laddy bugs can get stuck. Ants are a bitch, cuase they will sacrifice a few good workers and make a brigde over there die'n bodies and keep on going. jejej side tracked there...damn its nice to get this high so early !

Well chaman you news made me kind of sad I though a lot about that too, there's a lot of water before the sunny days and what I will do is wait, I will keep some seeds and planting probably in middle or the start of november, by the way, the gods have read this thread because the cajeta I bought is great, with orange little strips and everthing, I'm keeping some seeds of those for later developments.
Thanks for the advise on the wood, this soil I'm ussing what I have to do is almost nothing, the soil is already black, clean but with big worms so next time I will add no wood.
Some friends are growing indoors and gave them some ak 47 seeds, I'll write about that too.
Yep the cerro the la muerte I like a lot too, so you will say that for that region a sativa will do better?? on summer the sun is STRONG, sol picante bravo and the nights are very cold, I guest that some plants will do great in those conditions, in those mountains are spots that are more dry, becouse shelter of mountains against the wind etc.. so I'll have an eye on those.
