it looks awesome very nice plants, i`ve never smoked delmonte, well "MONTE" in venezuela is how we called at the "marijuana " and i`ve never heard abut this strain , somehow it should exist because the firsts seeds that were bought by Cristobal Colon about 300 years ago should exist yet; since that day some strains should began to adapt at our climate in venezuela that its fantastic to any vegetation...

Where do i get those seeds. Chaman, Raco .. The Prensado that i`ve smoked until now is only shwag from colombia, once in December a friend found a good Bud i thing that it was Monte , the taste is soft and dont make you cough at the first touch is smooth and the high is mellow pure sativa... ...

now i`ve not found any good lately, well anyway i will begin with some seeds that i found 4 days ago...... in a prensado.........

hey fellow tropical growers , hope all is well on your side of the world , hows they season treating u ??

here has been a very wet wet season , several cyclones have really put a dint in things around here , and its b een a case of having to salvage what we can ,, there will be some desperate tokers around this neck of the woods before too long i think ', already seems not enough to go around ...

so we are getting the next season under way , no point sitting around worrying about what we have lost , better to get on wth the job at hand ..

hopefully with an early start we will be seeing some buddage by late august , we will see how the weather fares and what sor t of drizzle we get ,, the plants need to see the sun now and then , hehehe
i have my fingers crossed a little , but also have a bunch of seed left for a second and third plant if needed , my calculations tell me i can get 2 crops out b efore we get the wet doing any damage again , i hate spending time in the jungle when it raining like it does , its very foul , dark , dank , smell and muddy ... any growers that do what we have to earn every thing they make , its not an easy job ...

More Colombian Sativa

hola redrider, those buds look just like the unknown colombian sativa buds i harvested off a few plants recently. they are very airy but nice spice fruity smell and taste, good high too. getting better as days pass and it cures.

no batteries, need to buy rechargeable ones, they´re expensive things, uh? and the conventional bateries do not last any long so it is a waste.

Hey Paz thats buds from the "coastal green" plant, they are airy cause I bet the whole plant after it dried weighed less then 25 grams. It is strong (two hits and I am done) but the taste needs a long cure. I cut the last Colombian gold plant yesterday, it still could have went another month but we are moving and I just can't take it. My white skunk is just starting to flower good (1 female 1 male) and I have one nice female Satori starting to flower. Should have a nice mid summer harvest.

hey great question I beleave i've answer'd it as best as I can in my ramblings but just to quick some it up, Flower time in tropics.

jeje between you and I it's ALWAYS FLOWER TIME, jeje it's a trip...maybe the question is how long is veg time, na i'm just play'n seen that i you only knew how high I am right now...give'n many thanks and praises indeed.

Indicas will flower about 2nd o 3rd node in most cases...As in Racos colection i've got many already sexed at this stage. Indicas here i've seen with a little luck doble in size by the end..normaly done before knee hight (about 2-3 feets is pushing it.) About a 3 to 4 month max from seed to finish. The larger he plant the longer the wait.

Sativas are just start'n to flower by the time the indicas are finishing, that started at the same time. So this 3 foot plant just starting to show sex, may even triple in size ! so about another 6months easy, but cross'n your fingers for 4-5 jejeje but the plant could easy make you wait 9months from seed to finish under 12hrs even. The larger the plant the longer the wait...if you can controll them in contianers (keep them in the smallest contianer posible untill absolutly necesary to transplant to a slight larger contianer...you give her to much space too soon, you can trust she will grow.) and use a few methods to keep them down...include'n cutting them back now and then you may speed things up. The less branches she has the faster they bud too, it takes longer for such a larg mass to finish, as it does a plant to consentrate energy on choosen branches. Water depravation is a big one ! as these plants are truely happy when you water them frecuently while young, but if you wait till she almost wilts, you can help trick her think dry season is coming up and should start to flower. Here the only thing that changes all yr is the RAIN. Days and nights are the same, and its always about the same temps too. Rains are the diff. They can effect everything ! jejej Humidity goes sky high, and temps differ a bit, clouds cover the sunny days (don't be fooles you'll still get burnt on a cloudy day while out in the yard with no shirt on). jjej man i talk too much, but hey thats a summary hope it was of any help.

I remember many of those old FOOT pics jjeje great to see them agian, and an honor to have them posted here most def jejej man...to think you said times are hard for some...while others like some of our selfs have some times more then we can handle. jeje Kinda makes you think of there "karma" too though.

I'd like to dream about Christ Com-ba-robb-us jeje had some good in him after all too share some seeds...but wasn't he looking for spices for a reason, jeje enough reasons to think the world was round to go out and search for some. Costa Rica was amongst the first places he took port...not sure i ever set foot, but he only brought slavery, robbed us of our gold, rapped our women, killed our culture and made us bow to a cross to show we had a spirt so to spare us from death....the cross or the sword. Hemp was much later...once he and others "conquistaron" our souls and killed our rain forsts for cattle and farms to export their own needs. jeje wow...my father is a Spanish and so are many great friends hope none are ofended.

Delmonte is a fruit of Racos work, a creation he made of a Venezolana X Destroyer ( Colom X Mex X Meao Thai). Not a local strian...the Original Venezolana is a stroy he would have to tell.

The Compress if you work it, and show it love and be alot more rewording and climatized then any many you could ever buy down the line. You must show them love. Choose well and make plenty of seeds to try and find the best agian and agian. Read plenty, and ask when you might have a doubt.

Sativas are speedy, energetic and refreshing as they animate the spirit and mind, body and jejej can make you eat a family size bucket of KFC, muffins fries and Coke easy...

Indicas, are more narcotic, they tend to sit you down, shut you up, make your eyes feel heavy, take away any pain, and knock you out...jeje body gets heavy, sativas you float, easy to inspire to dance and move...jeje clean a house even.

Got many females too Raco jejeje love'n it. But need too prevent further flowering and promot growth in the cabnet...smell has gone down, but still needs a strong extractor. A Dayton extracto here cost expensive...but figure if i repeat to my sel it's worht the "investment" jeje i'll have it soon.

one SSH x PTK has been went with a friend to his huerto. lets see how big that lady can get and what the main difference will be to my indoors of the cross.. my friend is NOT really one of those that complicates life for them so i expect very poor living conditions for the plant. i almost feel sorry for the clone..

so far prety much all have sexed in of my babies expect for the Colombian X DC or WN. I have pairs of most whichs is awesome but going to be hard to seperate and care for so many honeymooners....have a feeling the number of males in dif parts of the yard with thier ladies will get around some to my other plants in "open polenation type" feeling that i fear.

The mther finest taht surivied is a male...not sure what too do...kill it or use it. (it doesn't seem to be a Sativa type plant at all, its very indica and flowered realy heavy and fast at its third node hes fully done and about to spu....I've got alive and in early Flower the Colombian X Haze, and the Thai X Haze, and a Mulumbimby X Bangladesh it seems one almost done, the other in early flower. Ive got a Jamican Alsaka type in easrly flower and the Cali O x Jamican oldshools are close to done. A Calima cross X Jack Herrer x Jamican almost done, and a few others I don't have real sure their names...so not sure of what posible out somes may be worth while...or conter perductive even...i don't wish to get a lessor yield due to an early polinization in most the early flower'n plants...that will kill a yiled big time. plants in mid flower are hybirds and might be interesting to use...and not destroy my yield...i'd still be getting a good deal of herb. Those taht are near finish would ruin my cutting window so not willing to polenate them at all.

My cusin, well one of many is a Biologist, and spends more time deep in the jungles here then home, when ever hes home one of his first stops s my house as he's my son's Godfather son, and one of my best friends...so hes always coming back with so many stories and the wildes pictures you'll ever see we spend hrs just listen'n and checking out his slide shows, videos too.

Wow...that is one scary spider....growing up in SE Texas we used to have some big spiders. With one spider called a "banana spider" we used to catch dragonflys, months, wasps and any big flying insects and throw em into the spider web. It was our wild kingdom in action. The spider won and got fatter for entertaining us.

I am learning first hand about the diminished harvest when allowing an early pollination. Man it sucks, I did not realize how much it would shrink the bud size. Lesson learned, at least I will have 100+ beans to share and grow out.
