Hola Raco, yes I like this thread too because all the tropical pros are here and Chaman has really helped me. I love to show what Colombian looks like grown in Colombia.
hello red, what do you do about too much rain falling on your plants? do you have them under a clear roof or just let them out there allowing any ammount of rain into the pot's soil?
Hey Paz. I bring the little plants inside the house but the big ones stay out unless it rains REAL hard then I bring them all in. All they get for water is rainwater that I collect. The White Skunk really seems to be doing better then the Afghani in the sense that they are much bigger even out under the 12/12 sunlight. I hope soon the rain will stop for a few days and dry everything out. Are you getting alot of rain now too?
yes man, also getting rain, but not as much as you are. i am also bringing my plants under a roof once it starts to rain. except two that are on very big pots and weight too much to be carrying them all the to where the roof is at.
good luck with the new plants, hope to see some more pics of it when it goes into flower. yum yum!
Agg,
I'm sure they will be in excelent hands my friend, I hope you will enjoy them.
Raco,
That young Ausie Red looks alot like in structure too my Thai x Haze. Top heavy... Raco, still looking for Southern Crosses notes sorry.
Bone,
looks like an awesome harvest my friend ~! jeje hope its lasts you long enough till your next harvest.
Nice close up pics too bro !
Paz,
Nice garden my friend, and jeje yeah i recognize the indica blood in the tropics ! You brought up a great point also.
When I cut and dry. Like Wally said dep's on the season.
In wet season I trim as much I can, and then hang to dry try'n to seperate the cuts and vent them from all directions. This for the Sativas.
In dry season I leave all th leafs I can, as to cover the buds when I hang them and slow there dry down for me...also I water them often before I cut them, this for the Sativas.
Indicas in dry season I lay in my dry rack nice and spread apart, or roll in thin rolls of newspaper and hang in my roof in dry season not trim'n too much to hold up some mositer longer and not speed dry'n. I also tend to not water them too much before harvest.
Indicas in wet season I trim as best I can and will not water them at all till about amonth proior to harvest. I hang these in my Roof, or roll in thin rolls of newspaper and hang in my roof in dry season
Sativas after a good dry jeje well they can thin up alot more then we wish they can, as they loose ther mositer he shirnk and become nice and tight buds.
I judge by things should just about snap when I bend a branch, if they snap I waited to long, if they bend jsut about snap'n I m on track...next is to do testers, If the joint burns well enough its time to jar it. IF it still won't burn right i let them hang a while more.
One in a can I open frecuently, the first days and less and less as time goes by. I then finaly place larger more main colas in my freezer, and smoke the rest.
Out doors Wallys methods sounds prety crazy but logical indeed...man i'd hate too see my buds go to waste like that. Can't mis treat your plants, harmed tissues later are more prone to probelms so cutting and bag'n and bring'n in to the city isn't wise. Hang on close line types is ok in dry season but not when it rains none stop...hang'n in a tent sounds awesome, speciely with a little gas heater indeed. All sorts of tents out there, find your self the right shapes you can make sure you got plenty or movement, heater air from gas element would be enought to move air and prevent it from going stale near your buds.
Red Rider,
Very very nice harvest ! jejeje man those look so wonderfull ! Hope you will truely enjoy them. Such great colors in the costal girl, the santa marte looks nice and yellos jeje make'n me wish I had some pure Colombians in soil right now...the crosses are looking great though here, but not the same.
Your teck for dry'n and cure'n sounds good, just taht it's hard for a good dry..before I can them I'll ispect them well for molds and each buds oer all feel before going in the jar.
Very good point made out by Thai Flowers abotu open'n the jar more time if things don't smell right, but i'd maybe take a step more and emty them out of the jar for a litle while then seeting back in,
Blessed everyone, hope things are all cool runnings,
Chaman
here are a few flowers I had taken recently, realy have such wonderfull shapes colors and sents ! jeje worth the wait and care most def to be blessed with such beauty.
during winter here in murcia it gets quite humid and it takes some time to dry them well - normally i hang the plants whole without the fanleaves for around 3 weeks then later i put them into cardboard boxes for about 2-3 weeks. after that into the jars. the jars i open every now and then - trying to do it during dry days.
jeje feel dry'n can take almost jsut about as much time as grow'n them some times but hey jeje like said before after 100days, whats a bit more for the best.
Ive got a little note here given in correction to all the times ive mentioned a cross of Racos Delmonte X DC or WN. or the Colombian X DC or WN for examples should be...
Those seeds coming from out doors could be duaghters of the Male Deep Chunk, Male Willie Nelson from Bacchus, or Both. (toma nota:las que proceden de exterior pueden ser hijas del macho Deep Chunk outdoor, del macho WN f2 de Bacchus o de los 2)
In spanish is Racos correction, Thanks Raco.
Cool & Calm
Chaman
Think we who live in very humid places thay genraly don't get lower then 70% humidity ever should use a dehumidifier too if they can...hang buds in an exra bathroom, hopefully a small area, and have the dehumidifier help truely properly dry, but carefull not to go to fast, my friends around here been play'n around, its great but got to be attentive. Still kinda cheats, its a faster dry then normal, jeje so his buds never look as rusted as mine.
ejejejej Chaman!!
let´s see:
The seeds originated in my last guerrilla grow that I sent you are:
1 only seed that I found in your RedxGold, made sure that I´ve never found one single banana in the mother plant grown indoors nor in her cuttings grown outdoors....
The Mother´s Finest and the Venezolana #2
There were only two males left and allowed to open a few flowers, this was by mid August aprox.
One was a Deep Chunk male, and the other a Bacchus Willie Nelson F2 male. These are the pollen sources(outdoors)
Then you have DelMonte x Deep Chunk, and original DelMonte no.1,but the father of the "DeepMonte´s" was the same indoor DC male that I used in several crosses. Also the father of the DC xDC that I sent you.Right now I just can´t remember of other seeds that you might have received
Hope this helps a bit
In the pic:
