We've taken a longer than usual time to see the warmer part of spring here, but the garden's nearly completely planted now, finalizing it this afternoon. Most bedding plants are out, snow peas planted, and the cabbage and broccoli are perky and raring to go. Beans, both yellow and green bush varieties, various squash and variety of peppers going in shortly, with the few remaining tomatoes, and someone will blow the whistle, indicating the end of the marathon.

Not too much longer and there'll be a grazing and gathering in the gardens on a regular basis, with a large bowl for gathering stir-fry contents, while munching on nice domestic-wild cross plump and sweet/tart raspberries.

The best part of this time of year.

Of course, there's the mosquitos, too. May spread some Gnatrol or dunks into the shaded wet areas under cover of night, so they don't see it coming.

Greetings Mr Green. May I ask very seriously what are the dimensions of a "... 100 gallon hole"? Thanks in anticipation ...

A round hole, about 4 feet in diameter X about 16 inches deep = about 100 dry gallons...assuming you dig the sides close to vertical..

I was exaggerating, but thought it was random enough for the thread. :)

Just solid clean 'ejection'.

Just had another friend pass away, at my age they begin to start going with increased frequency it seems. Leroy (never smoked a thing in his life) was stricken with lung cancer many years ago, one of the good guys, only the good die young.

I ran into him about 10 days ago, said he'd just gotten a checkup, the doctor's opinion was that he had 6 months to live; however he told me that the doc also gave him a large supply of pain meds, but being as he's a die hard christian I doubt he ended life on purpose, shame on me for thinking/mentioning that.

I 'm sorry for the loss of yr Friends, Mr Stoner. It's happening to me too. However, I 'm one (an Existentialist) who thinks that we are so much in charge of our lives ... (I mean who else is?) ... that we can choose to end our lives if we so wish.

So I 'm comfortable with what you say.

Peace to All ...

I was down in a clinic setting in the Lower-48 the other day. Little did I know that Murphy was still screwing with my plans, and the visit was half-torpedoed by the less-than-effective acts of others.

But a forum member I'd never met, showed up, kept me company for well over an hour in a clinic I'd never been to, shared stories, sat, and gifted me treats that came home with me to be appreciated here by myself and others.

I try to avoid social circles anymore, having seen lots of unintentional destruction born of ignorance of our species, so I spend more and more time alone with my limited family and my pups; the pups being my best friends these days.

But another member here went out of their way to look me up, help me to feel at ease, and brought gifts that lasted the way home, and were appreciated by others..

That was pretty fucking special!

Thanks.
