.... got an online survey from the Dems yesterday wanting me to check off issues I was concerned about and mental health was not on that list.

In fact, very few of my basic concerns were listed, only the concerns the Dems had narrowed down that they wanted me to choose!:

Sad!

Causes one to feel like they're one of the 100,000 cattle being pushed through the run at the feed-lot, headed for the slaughter house sometimes.

Limited ways to move. Run down the chute, and stop holding up traffic.

I enjoy the surveys I receive via email from either party (mostly Dems), telling me that they can't move ahead without my input.

I had NO idea I was THAT fucking important!!

No, maybe not... and they keep sending me emails telling me that my post office is closing due to Trump, as well, yet my post master, in a very small post office, hasn't heard anything about it yet...

We agreed to keep each other posted.

Likely the memo got lost in the mail some place, and it'll be there shortly. ;^>)

The sheer volume of isolated violence and death is incredible, so it is ignored as not credible.
I know quite a few who have much worse to relate than I, and are still alive besides.

Most are dead, their weight only grows, thank God the open door.

Brave post, I'm sorry for those you have lost. You are strong
to live with these memories and I hope there is a lifting of the
weight you carry.

I have found no solace in the grief I have for those I have lost.

Forgiveness is a luxury that many say is the path to
healing the survivors of violent death.

However, many choose to live with the anger and helplessness.

Builds character they say.

Sorry, but I have enough character.

I choose to forgive, that I may help others along their path.

War is drummed up by people proclaiming the necessity for the US to protect "its assets and allies".

The 1st term is of course too vague and the 2nd shouldn't automatically preclude war but when combined w/#1 it gains brevity.

Here we like (some of us) to talk about our national interests, our “compelling” national interests, but typically they amount to impositions of our national “interest” on unwilling others to ensure compliance with our economic or political purposes: defending our interests literally means making sure the important people keep getting what they want...and there’s just nothing more corrupt than that, right there.

The script needs flipping, but GOP keeps jumping the gun, sort of a series of premature injaculations...so inflamed by being so close to complete control of America they’re probably turning to cannibalism as we speak.

So far we’ve been lucky, but this dog needs tying

Duane was angry for not being able to control his drinking. He murdered my sister in law for leaving him. He later shot himself when relatives would not allow him near his daughter.

Ernie shot two people camping where they should not be.

Tom stabbed my uncle 33 times. Being disparaged for not working angered him.

Bruce was angry at himself for being gullible, all his relatives were well off and he just kept losing his money. He could not find the latest predator so he used the 9 mm on his own head.

Patty was angry about no job and a hungry daughter, she thought attempted suicide would get her help. She died.
Mac tried his best but could not manage and they took the daughter away. Mac hung himself.

Mike was angry at the system, never got an even break. Then he was arrested for a trespass.
He visited me for confirmation. God had given him a .45 service pistol. Straight from God and he was confiding in me what God intended he do with it. I am still conflicted on this one. His widow did not allow me to attend the funeral.
The next year his son committed suicide, compounding the tragedy.

Chris preferred girls rather than women. Anger about consequences would not allow him to release a white victim. I am conflicted here as well, Chris is still alive.

All in all there are seventeen names on my 'dead list', none from natural causes.

This is third world stuff, breakdown of society situations refugees are running from when they get stalled at the border.

The sheer volume of isolated violence and death is incredible, so it is ignored as not credible.
I know quite a few who have much worse to relate than I, and are still alive besides.

Most are dead, their weight only grows, thank God the open door.

I will sit for you, and for your lost ones

That is terrible. I know a few kids who have lost all there close relatives to suicides, murders and overdoses. Most of whom I called family (even if not by blood). There is nothing I can do to imagine reality thru their eyes. Hurts to even remember and they live it daily.

Damned shame we can't have a
society that delvers mental health
care with the same kind of enthusiasm
put into distributing any of our wonderful
consumer goods.

or the enthusiasm "our" govt has for putting certain segments of society (us!) into for-profit prisons for "crimes" without victims...NO VICTIM, NO CRIME! "gotta keep those cells full, boys. we signed a contract. now go get me some bodies!":ying:

Probably not, with the "Privatize the Profits, Socialize the Costs" Fraud Version of "Capitalism" that the US has.

Like the Kochs, who have rarely met a subsidy they didn't like, as long as it was going to them.

387 billion worth of [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] subsidy to guess which industry. Deck stacking 101.

Look at the bright side.

We don't live in Lagos Nigeria.

88 million people (sometime in the near future).

Roads are a mess, every commute is an Epic Survival Journey.
