Heard similar myself, think the number I heard mentioned was 130 thousand.
Have wondered how long it will take before we hear them speak of starting up

The USA still has the mandate. It has not been updated to include women.

Almost all men ages 18-25 who are U.S. citizens or are immigrants living in the U.S. are required to register with Selective Service.

Would not be at all surprised to see some form of national service reinstated.

seems like a partial solution to immigration...you want to come to america? 2-4 years of national service and you get to be a citizen....plus a good idea for most 18 year olds...most of whom can't change a tire on their own

the country that i live in prevented an old asshole from stealing the election. you must live in Europe someplace, or maybe Africa or South America...and it's NOT a "throne" nor is the leader a "king"...reality bites, huh? 🤣

read about that. he might regret shooting after the burglar fled toward the basement. when they turn to run, i'm not sure that shooting is still a legally (depending on locale) defensible option. they may end up indicting him. hope not, these kind of shootings are impossible to be sure of. breaking into homes not much of a path to long-term success regardless....

A lot of kids do pretty good if they don’t get killed while going through their stupid phase. If we had to put a score on evil. Wishing the kid dead is just sick. Breaking into a house? It’s just stuff. Not worth the life of a kid.

If provoked, Russia or China could END the satellite era with a few exploding devices.

Better not provoke them.

It would be, back to the Ionosphere, when military contractors were getting US gov. $ for bouncing radio waves off the ionosphere to try & get further than "line of sight".

And GPS would be pretty much over.

you are right about the stuff not being worth getting killed. but when you break into an occupied house, those folks inside don't KNOW if you just hoped to steal something or wanted to be the headline in tomorrows newspaper. you risk meeting someone that is scared and is not taking any chances. i've run folks off that were creeping around outside in the dark before. that won't be my response if they kick in my door...

Russia and China both rely on satellites like most of the world, they will be just as blind as the rest of us. "cut off your nose to spite your face" fits the behavior ....provoke the hell out of them. you can't let folks use threats to get their way, or they are in charge. fuck 'em...twice!
