It's the same in the UK, an eighth is very rarely 3.5g, some people have been known to think that the 2.7 mentioned earlier would be a cracking deal.
I was visiting mom in NY back in '06 & brought only a small quantity of weed with me, too soon it ran out. the good shit my friend Jeff was buying was $30 a gram (2gm minimum if delivered), single gms had to be picked up in The Bronx; full eighths were @ $80 in The Bronx, or $85 delivered to Scarsdale, we always chose delivered

Weird, never heard of that, eighths have always been 3.5 for £25 here since like the 90's
NY sounds really expensive, I believe London prices are very high too

It's been going like that for a while, certainly in the South and London. Quality is absolutely appalling. Until I left it was £20 an eighth, but then people started saying the eighths were short of weight. £10 per gram isn't unheard of for something that is half decent but at those prices, I couldn't afford to smoke.

true enough, it ain't hard or uncommon to spend long bucks on lunch in NY; but every smart NY'er also knows where to find a good and filling $10 lunch any day of the week.

who would try selling it like that? The point is its not SchwagI have charges the same for years. Could I get more sure but I don't make my living growing pot, plus I'm just not desperate. Why sit on a shitload when I can move it fast? I can charge 10 bucks a gram strait but prices are cheap here. Also I'm near 100% profit cause I've already covered my gear in harvests.
Also keep in mind I grow it so I'm not buying and reselling.
To each their own. Even when I grow for money I'm not greedy. When I see 80 bucks a eighth I laugh that's just sad. Sorry dope just ain't worth that much but here in canada we got 1000 bulb grows tossing out so much we don't need to price jack shit we charge what's fair. I still think it's Rich and charge less than street prices.

Only for pot. A pack of smokes is 15 bucks here. Gas is 4 bucks a gallon. Milk 5 a gallon. Yes our base pay is higher but cost of living is much worse in canada.
All that said pot is cheap here for many reasons. One of them is guys like me don't need to sell 80 dollar eighths to satisfy their ego, or things like lots of us do it as a second job or hobby we don't need to prey on people like that. I don't care how much someone thinks their dope is worth, it's not worth any more than mine or any other killer going. Another reason is we probably produce the same amount of weed as your entire country with 10% the population. Maybe more if you saw the grows we have here you guys would bawl... the stuff you see in the legal states now? We got bigger than that... many many many...

Lol sure I can get more but I think that's piggy greed and if a grower needs to charge more than local street prices drug dealers charge they have need to learn to budget, or maybe try a real job... that's really the advice I have for someone who believes I should charge above street prices. Dope is about more than money on trees, and sure I'm greedy too it's got to have its limits. If all its about is money go get a job, you can make more anyway. Well if you have high school (not saying anyone dosent fuck I don't I'm saying if you have a shred of education you can make more working a real job, growing is fun but let's face it as much work as it is its not a 9 to 5 and let's face it how many of you are millionaires? Was it from growing or being smart and working, maybe investing...) honestly I'm shocked someone thought that was real advice let alone a obviously skilled growers.

Anyone who thinks they need more than 25 a eighth, Lololololol all day keep talking yourselves up. Maybe if you charge enough you will win a hero medal. Lol 25 a eighth is 3200 a pound, which is 1200 over MY wholesale price. My wholesale price is twice the neighboring province retail price... now you tell me again charge more.

Again, it has a lot less to do with price gouging and has more to do with urban economics. How many of you pay $3k/month or more for a studio/1 bedroom apartment? What about $6k/month for a 3 bedroom apartment and another $1500 for your monthly parking spot?

That's not urban economics I live in a city. That's fantasy land. So ok if you pay those prices to live I can see charging a little more but more than 20 a gram makes me sick. Though so do those prices you describe. I can't fault you for the cost of living but I'll point out the eighth price is so disproportionate to the Oz price. That dosent compute I sell eighths at the same price ratio as a Oz. 25 a eighth 200 a zip.
Not a fair situation all around. I feel sorry for someone paying 1500 a month in parking cause that's the average for a dope appartment in any city in canada, a nice house in lots of places.
Anyway enough of my opinions, it's not my scenario, not my problem and I don't really care because it dosent effect me other than feeling sorry for people
