Satva,

If you say "this and that begins to happen", do you mean that you're having thoughts you'd never have if you don't smoke?

I have some stuff with a "having thoughts" property that I value highly, but for me the picture he's painting is more of the "riveted" type, where you aren't preoccupied with thoughts so much. I mean, it's all there in between your ears, so it's in the domain of thought in the broadest sense, but your attention easily remains on the things around you and that becomes the vehicle, with thoughts streaming off like decorations.

It's cool when this and that happens - no idea what that means, really, but the experience can be overly static.

"this and that begins to happen",

"this and that begins to happen",

"this and that begins to happen",

Things start to happen before you think about it. Things just start to happen with minimal mental activity. High is centered, calm energy with some body stone. Mrs. Perfume Skunk is stronger and more psycedelic than her "Red Hair" sister. Mrs. Perfume Skunk flowering structure was denser than Highland Mexican.

[(Punto Rojo) x (Punto Rojo x Perfume Skunk)], and (Punto Rojo x Perfume Skunk)

From Destroyer (Thai genetics) effect is more euphoric, spacious, and clearer high than Highland Mexican.

Highland Mexican's high is denser, more energetic, and motivational - great for outdoor activities, hiking, biking, and gardening.

PS> Punto Rojo + 15 weeks - flowers are hazey, wispy and glistening. Some red and purple color on the calyxes- and leaves are fading. Need a Colombian mantra to increase the flower size - just calyxes on a stem and small leaves. Mrs. Perfume Skunk is most vigorous of three Punto Rojo phenos.

Two Punto Rojo seedlings look like they want to be male when they grow up ~

[Punto Rojo f2]? and maybe
[Punto Rojo] x [(Original Haze / Acapulco Gold x Love Potion #1) x (Original Haze / Acapulco Gold)] (Sam's cross)

offer stabilized seeds by Christmas

What's so great about stability? Who has stabilized a Haze?

Destroyer and Blueberry are f6 hybrids of 1970's genetics.

Haze x Thai or Haze x South American sativa are common. Sam's Haze x Acapulco Gold (Skunk) were stable 1970's genetics. Haze is a poly-hybrid of unknown genetic diversity.

Haze x Mexican, Thai Haze x Mexican, and Colombian/Haze x Thai, should provide a full range of euphoric sativa highs, assuming the Haze high is euphoric. Euphoric haze high is the idea of using Punto Rojo mother as the haze.

These Punto Rojo females better be good, they're too wild for me to tame!

I agree it is a ridiculous concept to discuss stabilization of magic genes. It was said in jest. This pursuit is truly most akin to alchemy.

Satva - Thanks so much for posting your work here. I'm loving it!

I took some pictures of my outdoor garden today. The Super Skinny Christmas Tree Bangi Haze is filling out nicely. I know it is not a very impressive looking plant. It looks unhealthy, does not look like a big producer, and has small skinny buds. It does look like many of the plants I grew as a kid from seeds of great weed that I was never able to ripen in the temperate climate I grew up in. I now live on the northern border of a Mediterranean climate, but the season is still way too short for tropical or subtropical strains which were the climates that the weed I loved came from. I love the look of this plant, and it looks like it might have a chance to ripen here.

It is not so easy to look right through it anymore:

Buds have formed almost all the way down the length of the branches:

Resins are developing nicely and are smelling perfumy and weedy:

Hey TB! About your mite problem - neem seed meal as an amendment in your soil will prevent them from being a problem because it interferes with their ability to reproduce. You don't want to overdo the ratio as its powerful aroma can carry over into the taste of the finished product. I think I used .5 cups to 15 gallons of medium my last batch. This doesn't help you now but if you mix your own soil it will help with future grows.

Another topic with which I am familiar ... Punto Rojo. It took several months of patience but I managed a pretty decent harvest from my efforts. It is indeed some fine weed. While it was growing it had a strong citrus aroma leaning towards mango. After a few weeks in the jar the best way I can describe it now is a tangy Juicy Fruit gum. My favorite means of consumption is the good old fashioned joint and it never disappoints. It burns white and never makes me cough - truly a pleasure to smoke. The smoothness of the smoke might be due to the fact that it spent 4 months of flowering in a 3 gallon pot of home brewed soil with nothing but water to feed it. I'm pretty sure I could have greatly increased yields with a pot up to 5 or 7 gallons of fresh soil around 8 to 10 weeks after the flip. But I'm not really complaining because I got a shitload (by my standards) of tasty happy weed out of that 3 gallon pot. It took 7 months to get to that harvest but I am a better man for it.

I'm not really in the mode to give a smoke report or take pictures but I will give my impressions. PR is my goto weed if I am in the mood for a wake and bake but still want to have a productive day. The high is all in the brain ... there is no lethargy at all. It is a very happy upbeat high that sneaks up on you. Silliness and giggles are possible but for the most part it is pure cruise control ready to get things done and be friendly with everyone around me. Would I call it trip weed? Probably not by my idea of tripping balls but it certainly gets me into a different frame of mind. It was well worth the effort of growing and I definitely regret my failure to keep a cutting alive because I would like to grow it again. I still have seeds but not sure when I will get to it again.

Anyway ... this is still my favorite thread to check in with on ICMag. Keep up the endeavors!

Angola Red from La Mano Negra via Brasilian Seed Company. Lots of data suggest that LMN made many hybrids and sold or shared very few landrace, pure sativas or indicas. These plants had fairly large fan leaves early on, however mid-summer it looked entirely NLD. If there are some WLD genetics, they have taken second place to the Sativa in them. If I had not topped them at least 3 times in order to keep them at 7 feet max, they would have been 12-15' easily under full Arizona sun.

Only my Afropips Malawi99 a few years ago compares for slow onset of flowering. At this rate it will be late October or early November before harvest comes along. Still, I'm looking forward to some good surprises no matter what the hybrid status may be.

Colombian Gold ~ 12 weeks flowering -Colombian Gold f2 seeds maturing

Punto Rojo ~ 16 weeks flowering, but who's counting?

Punto Rojo - 16 weeks " Jennifer Flowers" Classic South America sativa

Punto Rojo - 16 weeks " Jennifer Flowers" Kind'a hazey!

[Punto Rojo x (Highland Thai x Highland Mexican)] first lot of seeds are ready on the lower branches.

I've smoke tested the red/brown leaves surrounding the mature seed pods, that dry on the plant. So far so good, decent potency and clean high from the mature leaves.

Not much bulk on the flowers......... I want to bulk you up! hehehe

PS>

Interesting note from Sam on Skunk#1 genetics. Are Afghani #1 and Afghan different genetics?

ThaiBliss You got it right!

This DS x HMBB (Perfume Skunk) is the one. nicest combination of Highland Thai x Highland Mexican high! Now, after 5 months curing in glass, "Perfume Skunk" my new favorite. Seems like the high is cleaner, and clearer than it was after 3 months. vbg

DS x HMBB (her sister Red Hair) was ready in 2 months. ???

is your Colombian Gold from Underground Seeds?
Yes.

The 1972 version?
No, 1980 cirica.

[(1980 Colombian Gold x 1960 Jamaican Lambsbread) x 1980 Colombian Gold]
I crossed a Colombian Gold dominate female and male. The Colombian Gold genetics looked developed and workable for small grows selecting from f2.

I'll leave the 1960's Jamaican Lambsbread growing to ThaiBliss.

1960 Jamaican Lambsbread, and 1970's Colombian Gold x C99 were/are wild and crazy gilrs minimal flowering structure. To wild for me to tame, so I culled those females, to make room for Punto Rojo girls in the party room. Hopefully, Punto Rojo boys will come to the party.

Nice. Been wanting to work with the Angola Roja for a while. My BSC order never got to me despite a couple attempts. Is he still running? Manga Rosa was another one I wanted from him. Keep us updated!!

LA Confidential is racing towards the finish line. It is finished if it rains again. The peppery smell now has given way to a spicy hash smell. It is terribly mold prone. I was using a swamp cooler to cool my indoor grow area over the summer, and had to turn it off due to a cutting of LA Confidential becoming covered in mold. After two slightly rainy days and a foggy day all in a row a while back, I found a bud with mold on a leaf.

It is a pretty hash plant looking strain, but we'll see about how it smokes.

And now, for something completely different... Colombian Punto Rojo!

This fine lady is starting to show signs of ripening at 18 weeks. She still has a long way to go, but some areas are looking very nice and smelling sweet and interesting. I detect mango, mint, bubble gum, leather, and other fragrances that seem familiar and unfamiliar.

Añoro su dulce abrazo. Ella me está tomando el pelo con su belleza y fragancia. El deseo es la construcción de ...

What the...? Sorry. I don't know what came over me. I don't even know Spanish... which may be obvious to our readers.

Let's just go to the film:

Closer... closer...

There is a distant relative that should be brought to your attention... Panama Haze. This is very nearly ripe, and is smelling minty at the moment. It's buds are showing a wide variety of color. Similar to the Gypsy Thai x Mullumbimby Madness x Neville's Haze I grew, it has calyxes that are not blanching, but turning golden or pale yellow in some areas. I also see a hint of the purple/red. It is hard to see in the pictures. I'm also seeing what looks like some red streaking, perhaps the stems of the buds, but those buds are in the back, and I can't reach them at the moment. For now, this is what I can offer:

Many thanks to our Spanish brethren who have contributed so much to the Cannabis community. They are doing great work that can been seen here, and on numerous other threads. They are everywhere.

Not to mention our elders who laid the groundwork for all that we can do today... Colombians, Panamanians, Thai, Indians, Mexicans, Africans, Jamaicans, etc., whose good work often gets too little credit.
