Nice aquisition, idiit ! :)

Browsed a little bit on their Homepage and they also seem to offer another strain called "Kalite Tizane" , is this also a " Zamal " variety ?

Furthermore they seem to have offered a strain called "Fil Rouge" from Guadeloupe Martinique in the Caribbean, but I can't really find it anywhere on sale...

PS A picture of TTSC's Double Zamal Seeds

Cheers

I've known of the guys for a while now....they used to offer another Landrace before the Kilate Tisane called "Fil Rouge" which means "Redhair" in french or creole if I recall correctly. The Fil Rouge is a sativa from Martinique. I've been waiting 2 years for them to re-release that strain and they still have me waiting.

French Touch seed...they won't last long if they send their products from france...remember even seeds are illegal in this country...

Doesn't the "Fil Rouge" they offered was cubed (or crossed several times) with kush? And still they call it "Fil Rouge"

Hopefully they are not a bunch of opportunist trying to make some quick bucks on the landrace hype...but when i see their prices and how they behave i'm sceptic :moon:

And that's a nice package...but shit is still shit even if wrapped in silk...hopefully i'm wrong, idiiit now you' re on a mission to prove me wrong!

Was trying to rep you but I think you're maxed out lol

Hey Pantag, that was my concern...there was a site which offered straight Fil Rouge Martinique...but it looks very shady and it's in Czec language...I believe they crossed to the kush to try and grow it properly in France. When I asked about the Fil rouge to their email...they asked me if I wanted to help them grow it....but they never responded after that. On Facebook, they did say they will release it again "soon" but that has been about a year already.

the Breeders Collective Bourbon on the island of renion did the zamal preservation work. they supplied French touch seeds with fts's two zamal lines. breeders collective bourbon has been preserving the la reunion landraces since 1962. below are a couple of links where you can google translate the two articles from native French:

http://www.softsecrets.nl/fr/abc/10002664-divles-hybrides-made-in-974divdivdiv

http://www.softsecrets.nl/fr/abc/10007522-culture-de-landraces-et-dhybrides-sur-lile-de-la-reunion

if you are fat and lazy like me then here is a link to the zamal perennial thread where most of the articles have been translated into English:

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=307924&page=5

^ I edited out the part about French touch seeds since the zamal perennial thread is on ace seeds forum site. there is some info at the soft secrets article on French touch seed's mangu carott and k1 lines bred by the Breeders Collective Bourbon .

Destroyer - Thailand/Mexican/Colombian

Destroyer - Thailand/Mexican/Colombian

This Destroyer phenotype is a Thai/Mex/Colombian hybrid expression. Mexican/Colombian dominate. This is the Destroyer mother of (DS x HMBB - "Red hair-11-finger").

Flowering time of 16 weeks. Sample cured + 12 months. Smell in the jar is leather/ lavender/sage. cured flowers are green/silver/red. The smoke / vapors have a lavender smell. Good flowering structure, resin coverage, and calyex to leaf ratio. Much denser flowers than the other phenotypes.

Been smoking this Destroyer - Mexican/Colombian dominate marijuana for the last few days. The high is calm, euphoric with a nice active energy flow - great for chores, gardening, hiking and all outdoor activities. good energy, but calm mental activity and a relaxed heartbeat. Spacious feel good high felt in the head, a bit of tight body effect. Not psycedelic and trippy like a good Thai or Highland Mexican. This one could be Colombian dominate. Not as psycedelic as I'd like, but I love the soft energy flow, easy to stay high for over 12 hours.

This Mexican / Colombian dominate phenotype high is calmer, grounded, more focused and connected to things than the Highland Thai phenotype - which has a spacious, soaring, pleasureable high, time warp makes life jazzey. Highland Thai phenotype is about as sativa as I need to be.

Mexican/Colombian grounded and connected to the earth, feel good, euphoric high - life flows like a river. Small portions will keep you high all day/night, with no comedown.

Everyone say hi to my beautiful autoflowering Zamal GN P1 female... damn it! I think it's going to be hard to keep this clone around!

I can't really figure out how such a tropical strain can have this crazy behaviour, it makes no sense. Anyway I hope I'll be able to make some crosses besides this uncommon flowering pattern, although it will be hard because the snips I'm rooting are flowering as well and no males are ready yet!

I remember Gerrit had this problem too but besides that, some interesting hybrids were made with his plants so let's see what happens. Good thing though is that I'm going to be able to harvest this one much sooner than I expected lol.

She's a beauty Musta! I would not worry about the preflowering. In my experience with those genes, even watered down, she will revert back and forth. I have some of those genes in the VanVulpen's cross with Haze and almost all the progeny have the same trait and still make it to maturity with longer nights, also they seem to carry varying degrees of the Zamal trippiness that we are wanting.
She seems to dominate in crosses and carry good things wherever she goes.

Hey Wald... what's up with the tipped over pot?

Mustafunk - That is an annoying trait, but I hope it is killer good and lightly seeded when it is all over and done.

Randy - The Van... is looking good. Glad to see you are still growing it.

i kicked it over, got lazy and as now it was raining i thought the branches can somehow root the ground

no;) just a sideshot for structural views

hm, those auto/pre/semiauto zamal or dominant crosses can be multiplied very easy from cuts, like randy said it doesnt mean we cant keep them alive, they dont mature or really set to full flowering above 12 light hrs, just keep that strange growth forever, maybe:biggrin: ...

no

check out two things on that tipped over pic; strong branches, incredible vegatative density.

my experiences agree for the most part with randy's observation that the auto flower zamal leaning phenol out of zamaldelica was overall dominate.

my zamalish hybrids outdoors had branches the size of meristems. they could support incredible amounts of bud. the Malawi x Malawi branches as a contrast were stripped off the meristem 'cause they couldn't support the weight. zamalish was what I called my auto flower zamal leaning phenol out of zamaldelica.

the density was also fierce. zamalish has a mold resistance quality that enabled large dense floral formation. big yields, huge yields. the zamalish/ar and zamalish/soa mg had pretty chunky nugs. pure zamalish had more airy bud structure.

great terps as well ( pungent spicy).

I felt my zamalish lacked the potency I wanted but by crossing her to potent mates the end result was very satisfactory in the potency department. great energetic euphoric high effects in two of the hybrids I did; Malawi soa, angola red lmn.

the debilitating super potent bat pheno of mandala's satori (zamalish/satori bat pheno) had the debilitating Nepalese indica high effects but was very potent and great bag appeal including terps, frost, very chunky nugs.

zamalish was recessive in hybrids re her potency and whispy bud structure in hybrids from my three zamalish crosses.

I came back a few minutes after this post and edited a couple errors. above post is correct now.

since this is the trippy weed thread:

I never got any trippy effects off zamalish puro, nor any zamalish hybrids with the exception of some trippiness off seeds of Africa Malawi gold/zamalish.

dubi has posted ( iirc) 'couple of times that he prefers zamaldelica as foundation for future work in lieu of the original zamal pheno he used.

if I had a super potent, super trippy zamal pheno ( clones/seeds) I wouldn't be spending time searching places like seeds of Africa or French touch seeds. I would go on to other projects like outdoor bag appeal strains, etc... I did finally manage to get a good zamal auto pheno non hermie male to mate with my auto flower zamal leaning phenol for a bean run.

according to the la reunion growers posting on cannaweed from what I managed to google tranlslate and read it's the mangu carrot zamal substrain that has the trippy high effects. geritt's cut from ( again iirc) my readings is the carrot phenol, but my zamal pheno puro from zamaldelica lacked potency and trippiness. in hybrids she was fantastic, but still no extreme trippy effects to speak of even in the cross to the highly psychoactive seeds of Africa Malawi gold.

Greetings,

I found a pistil on one of my Jamaicans!

:woohoo::dance013::wave::yay: :groupwave:

It is not a confirmed female, since I have found some on another plant in the past that turned out to be a hermaphrodite male, but at least there is hope.

This is going to be a difficult grow. There is record heat here, and this is the hottest time of year anyway. It is supposed to be around 110 degrees on and off for the extended forecast. The stretch has been incredible on these plants. I've already cut back twice, and the last two days I'm bending and bending branches. I decided to go straight to 11/13 light cycle after these last two weeks. Usually I'll go 12/12 for the first couple of months on these extra long cycle plants. When you get 4 - 6 inches of growth per day, something's got to give.

You can clone almost any AUTO by in vitro culturing cells or stem pieces with a bit of leaf to encourage callus growth.
Callus is undifferentiated cells and does not respond to photo-period so it is easy to maintain and grow and can be rooted and shooted as needed to make clone copies of the original mother or father, whatever the Callus came from. You need to have an in vitro set up and read up how to do it but if I could, and I did, you can. Or find someone who has the tools needed to help you.

If you can spare a dead dry leaf I am interested, for the DNA project, PM me.

Are you in the garage like me? I'm shut down til I get a window ac and connect to my tent. Maybe a 8k unit for a 4x4 tent. Extreme fox tailing under these conditions without ac. I'll be getting one soon and let you know but I'm hoping to stay below 80 maybe 74 with no co2
Any feedback is welcome

Greetings,

Just a quick update. I got a swamp cooler going, which should help the high temperatures. The Punto Rojo has really started developing fast, now that it finally flipped. The Jamaican female still looks female and is a step behind the Punto Rojo. The Jamaican that started out male, is now showing a lot of pistils, with some new male sacs. I culled it.

Jamaican summary:

1 Dud
2 Strongly Hermie Males
2 Males Without Pistils
1 Female Without Male Flowers... So Far

I found some spider mites in my veg half of the cabinet. I will start attacking these with "natural" methods (bacteria, tomato plant extract). I don't know what I'll do if I find mites in my flowering cabinet. This is the result of my recent aggressive collection of cuttings. I am also keen to freshen up my outdoor genetics with Bangi Haze and other test plants. I still need to take cuttings from my outdoor garden and bring them in.

I need to build another indoor area where I can use as a quarantine area. Ah... the farmer's life! More work than time.
