Bay Dream x Blue Cheese

Double thai x Lemon sour Diesel... Thought this would be a winner but is about to be culled if it doesn't start looking right. Had a hard time with seeding of double thai due to length of flower time pulled it December 10th looked like it needed 3-4 more weeks.

Would there be any takers for Zamal x Meao Thai? Please step up and be heard!

Peace,

ThaiBliss

Sorry if I stepped on some toes as well. I aspire to be one of the breeders that can produce top quality cannabis for people including CBD strains. How I can make something better then what the Stanley Brothers created in Charlotte's web is a whole other ball game. Their creation alone will soon help save millions upon millions of people.

I got some Double Thai seeds which I hope to find a special Thai pheno then I will cross her with the best Zamal Meao Thai leaning pheno I find. Shouldn't be to hard, just take's time. I still have over 500,000 hours or so to live in my life( I hope, crosses fingers ). Plus Science is making big leaps so by the time I am 50 we might be living until we are 200. Sorry for being off topic at the end, just came into my mind. Hope everyone is doing well.

Wow Waldgeist. Really beautiful garden you've got going. Of course, that Z#6 looks prettiest to me.

I'll have to post a picture or two from my outside garden next weekend. I have a Bangi Haze that you are not going to believe.

Dave! Gypsy Thai is doing phenomenally I see. I think it might just take ownership of that room before long.

Dr.King, I hope you'll post some pictures of those here for us to enjoy. Sounds good.

Lacocina, Nice pictures. I love that well cured Zamaldelica picture. Top notch job.

@Dave: Hehehe, I thought only I could make such long internodes with my measly 250 watter :D

I can compete with the best of them

High temps and too high of fertility levels made all my plants stretch like crazy recently. My ac was on the fritz for about a month, so I had to deal with some temps upwards of 90 in the flower room. Both Mr Nice Shit and GN Thai stretched like crazy. Much more than normal. Now that the AC is working again, the new growth is much more compact.

@TB. Overgrowing the room..That's an understatement. A few days after that pic, I decided to do a drastic topping of all the main shoots to keep them at the same height as the rest of my canopy. She's finally in the budding phase and is coming along real nice with that pale green color your familiar with.

@Waldgeist. Love the pics. You do it so well with your Thais and every other plant that feels your touch.

I'd immediately make room in my grow schedule for Zamal x Thai! I've been contemplating Double Zamal too, but I should probably wait for a report or two.

Uh oh! Only one pack left! Must have been a very limited release, did anyone get it?

Hi Thule,

had the fortune to receive one pack directly via TTSC. They have one last pack in stock and Seedsman also got one remaining pack, so two of them altogether.

Maybe Jahgreenlabel will restock them in the future, who knows.....

There is also another vendor called "oaseeds" but they list the variety as "10 feminized " seeds ?!

However, the Zamal Mystik might be also desirable , would be interestng to compare it with Zamaldelica by Ace Seeds

"The goal was to find the organoleptic qualities of Zamal together with its incredible effect and enjoyable flavours. Then adding a more compact final size and a shorter flower time. The name for this idea and now reality : Zamalmystik ! The work has been created using a Zamal collected at Mafat in the 80’s. The line was diverse and opened, with a flowering period of between 6-8 months. Then, a cross was made with a Dutch polihybrid. Lowering flower times and making it shorter and more compact was accomplished. The potency on it has considerably increased too. Tropical Seeds continued digging into this cross up to a F5 generation. They reached what they were looking for by trying to fix some traits so they will show more often in the strain. Tropical Seeds gave the shape they wanted to this creation after testing several intermediate works. They discarded the rest and only went with the ones showing what they first wanted in this cross : A quick Zamal, around 12 weeks with some compact colas for a sativa. Excellent yield, and stretch was shortened. The usual stretching is now around x4. Flavours and scents continue to be on the classic Zamal side : fruity, spicy and floral. "

Cheers

AFAIK the dutch polyhybrid used as one parental was an indica leaning Jack Herer male, read it another forum posted by JGL where they got a thread about Zamal Mystik.

Hi Azaghal! You can consider yourself lucky, although the 6 to 8 month flowering time sounds like a load of work  I was wondering if the 80's line of Zamal would be of similar caliber to the GN offering but with a flowering time like that it must be the more extreme of the two. When are you planning to grow them out? Good luck, may the force be with you!

Thule,

thank you for your kind words.
I think, if I remember correctly, that the male that was used in Double Zamal is in fact a strain from Mauritius. It is a neighbouring island state to La Reunion.

Wikipedia says that 2/3 of the population of Mauritius originally came from India and that Hinduism is the major Religion at around 48,5 %.

About the mother genetics i do not know, maybe it is the GN Zamal cut or maybe not, but the users lasko and blan-k-flor posted abot the Mauritius variety here:
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=127856&page=18
:peacock:

I dont know when i will grow them, maybe next year, but when i do i will of course share my experiences with them here at IC.
About the long flowering time: I also like to eat hot and spicy things so I guess I have some sadomasochistic tendencies ....

Cheers

Oh I see, I assumed they crossed one of Gypsie's Zamals to an 80's line. Can't really make out the details because the original text is in french. I remember that Mauritius grow by Lasko very well. Would be interesting to know where the 80's Mafate line originates from, could it be Gypsies stock or something else?

idiit, did some googling on the Mangu Carot, yet another Zamal strain! This is getting interesting.

Nice aquisition, idiit ! :)

Browsed a little bit on their Homepage and they also seem to offer another strain called "Kalite Tizane" , is this also a " Zamal " variety ?

Furthermore they seem to have offered a strain called "Fil Rouge" from Guadeloupe Martinique in the Caribbean, but I can't really find it anywhere on sale...

PS A picture of TTSC's Double Zamal Seeds

Cheers
