Looking good thai!

Liking the last two stretching big time but don't see calyxes ... Maybe mid nov.

I hope it's ripe by mid November. To be fair, no buds on anything yet.

I got rid of the mites by getting rid of the plants.
:( Instead of spraying, I went with dipping the plants in noxious solutions, several.

It's forecast to be 114 degrees by Tuesday. I may have to water 3 times this week. Ugh!

Beautiful plants as always Thai, I do hope that we somehow get together for a smoke sesh someday. I always call that teeth thing you mentioned back teeth floatin, which totally defines my keepers

Here is my Neverland week 3, she finishes in 7 and floats teeth very nicely

Can all phenotypes of Mextiza give you paranoia, or can that happen for a special phenotype that you saved?

Thanks,

ThaiBliss

So far it has only been from the Oaxacan pheno. I have run Mextiza three times and find two types. The stretchy, branchy Oaxacan leaner and the shorter NepJam type with sturdier buds. They both yield about the same indoors with CMH and scrog.

It may only be a matter of time til I feel the "vicegrip" from the NepJam. I say that because I have had it from Juanita Lagrimosa and CBD Skunk Haze which supposedly are bred partly to minimize anxiety. For anyone looking to get high and lessen adrenaline, I found that microdoses repeatedly smoked three or four times in roughly 15 minute increments let me transition well. I can then smoke larger quantities. I guess I like being high but not getting high.

Fwiw, the "trippiest" meds I've ever had was Purple Haze from Amsterdam. I don't know what place grew it, or who bred it. It was a long time ago.

But I remember it vividly. I was sitting in a car and all of a sudden it was like my head became detached from my body and was floating in water. And looking out the windshield, I started to feel like I was a fish in an aquarium. But it was pleasant.

I've never had a med like that before, or since. I don't know if it would help me medically at this point in my life, but I wouldn't mind checking.

Amsterdam does some incredible work. So I'm not sure how much of what I experienced was their grow skills, but I will never forget that one. If I was looking for a brain bomber, Purple Haze would be on my list.

That's a nice variation in light : )

Have your grown the straight Dr. Grinspoon before? The yield steers me away from it...

I doubt that was real Purple Haze, commercial growers would never go for it. In fact, IME you can skip Amsterdam in the search for trip weed. Don't get me wrong, you can find fine product, but it's all indica-infused.

I once bought Jamaica, which is imported brickweed, however it is sun grown. If you can find a piece one or more greasy red hairs in them, you've won the jackpot. That is some very trippy weed, the trippiest I have ever bought in a coffeeshop. There are also seeds in it, some of which are viable.

The very trippiest weed, to the point of complete immersion, I grew from Tanzanian Magic. That was before I knew what good growing was about, and never added flowering nutrients, however after they were pretty much defoliated by neglect, I kept them going so the trichomes were directly exposed to the light for at least a week, maybe two. At some point, there is a second flush of resin, and when you have that, it's the trippiest that weed will ever get. Even Blue Mystic and Aurora Indica would send you on deep trips, but not as deeply immersive as the Tanzanian Magic.

Hey TB, I think I remember you saying earlier in this thread that you were looking for a cut named monkey paw?

I just heard a potcast with a guy named Bob Hemphill from coastal seeds and he mentioned that he has it.

Might not go anywhere but ya never know.

I will defer to your experience...it was labeled Purple Haze. It was 20 years ago so I really couldn't tell you. My cannabis knowledge back then was nil, and it was so long ago, I can't accurately reference it against what I know now.

But whatever that was, it was incredible. Cannabis for me has never been "trippy." Not until that day, and not since.

There were plenty of great sativa and haze there at that time.

Hope you may find that again one day !

i doubt it too, unless it was imported.
ran into a guy while at a canna-friendly bar there who worked for sensi seeds,
and he said there was a little bit of skunk in everything sold in AMS-
to boost yield, smell, bag appeal, etc., and cut down flowering time.

Greetings,

Last week I neglected to show off my Bangi Haze x Wicked Weed, the most pungent plant in the garden. It is far more pungent than Fruity Pebbles (most pungent plant 2 years ago) x Wicked Weed. The thing I want to point out is that while the leaves have inherited the shape from Bangi Haze (Congo pheno), its stalk, pungency, and vigor has benefited greatly from the crossing.

Here is the mother:

More about Miss Universe. Once again the aroma of the older locations on the stem is blowing my mind. It is very much like Thai. It makes my teeth feel a touch like I have metal in my mouth, and makes me feel slightly asthmatic. It is not pungent by any means, but it affects my body and triggers very good memories from great smoke in the past. The fresh stems near the top of the plant are pungent, but in a lemon, flowery perfume, banana way.

Since I have been writing about stems, here is the Miss Universe stem. It seems to have inherited some fairly robust stem size from the hash plants in its history:

Notice how the smaller stems swell at the attachment point of the main stem. This is a trait I remember from growing a pure Thai from Thai Stick:

Some of the other plants are just beginning to gather up for flowering. Today is the first day I have noticed it. Not Miss Universe yet. I hope it inherited significant earliness from C99 and the indicas that are in its heritage. It needs to be ripe by November 1st at the latest.

All the Best,

ThaiBliss
