Ah. More all around, as in more consistent. No problem, even if we are looking for different variations. The beauty of the herb is the variety. Keeps us all chasing and searching and having fun.

All the Best,

thanks for the quick and helpful responses everyone! one of my favorite threads ever!

Bit late, but I'd like to add that contrary to what you might expect based on the classic indica-sativa classification of highs, many pure sativas indeed have the kind of introspective floaty high that I imagine should be great for yoga and meditation. I bet they are even better than indica crosses, because they won't nail you to the couch.

Some good suggestions have been made, I would add Mextiza, although it's hard to find now. Cannabiogen now has a purple mexican cross with the same land race, but I don't know how much the PCK 'ruins' it for your purposes.

so i really like getting super duper high (to the point of trippiness), but some types throw me off balance. i want to do things like yoga, dancing, tai chi, but my muscles get tense and i have lower coordination and concentration. it seems to be a symptom of modern hybrids in general, but would a pure sativa be the cure?

Nepalese and Mexican strains have a centered high that is good for yoga, dancing, tai chi. There is a broad genetic diversity in Nepalese and Mexican varieties from indica dominate to sativa dominate. The high from sativa dominate varieties will be more clear and focused without any heaviness.

Pure tropical sativas (Hazes) are best for trippines and many have a clear, trippy high that are great for spiritual practices. Tropical sativas often tense up your muscles more than a hybrid.

Lotsa generalisation goes on re Sativa aka NLD .
I have smoked a lotta sativa that comes on strong and trippy, but puts you to sleep when it wears off .

I was reading Titoons Martinique Carribean thread . He said similar . Smoke a fatty . Get very high . Then take a nap a few hours later .

Thanks for sharin

EB .

I too have to say Mextiza for good activity weed. The Oaxaca pheno has a very high frequency caffeine like effect that lasts and there's no burn-out.

From the description I think Ace Honduras may be another possibility. West African varieties also are a good place to look. I have some Tropical Seeds Old Congo and Cannabiogen Ghana that I'm growing soon.

Hola

Zamal and Ghana are two nice trip weeds very positiv, hope everybody can smoke those one time in there life.
Ghana can have a strong high, depend how much you smoke. Smoking it in Africa she was perfect for day, clear high and social, creativ, stronger if you smoke more, but i noticed that i had no problem to sleep with this one.

Sorry for the poor english, thanks ThaiBliss for this thread

Following up on ThaiBliss' suggestion of Ace Panama. I only have experience with the "green" phenotype, but I definitely classify it among the "cerebral, but euphoric and focused" sativas. I did find the stimulation that it provided short-lived, giving way to a far more relaxed effect after the initial rush. The headspace, however, never becomes muddy. It's just a supremely mellow sativa, though this shouldn't be taken to mean that it isn't quite strong.

It was also one of the most vigorous and easy to care for plants that I grew inside last year. It handles elevated temperatures like a champ, yields well, and has delicious sandalwood and Haze fragrances/flavors. The magenta-pistilled phenotype is supposedly fruitier.

My patients won't stop requesting another run of it and we have no shortage of good genetics to run

RasTarzan - Thanks for the recommendations. Your contributions to this thread are very much appreciated. Have you tried Cannabiogen's Ghana? If so, is it a good representation of what was available in Africa?

Green-Genes77 - Thanks for the Panama detail. I meant to ask you more about your opinion of it when you mentioned it the last time we conversed, but time was limited and there was much to discuss. I think Dubi mentioned that this strain was the most popular.

Hi ThaiBliss

It is representative because it is the same. I so much liked this grass that I returned full of seeds, and finally got in touch with Kaiki CBG who distributed it.
It seems that it have different Ghanaian's quality, I was lucky enough to have a good contact/friend which bought the grass for me.
I think for dancing or for art it is perfect. You can smoke a little pur stick and have a nice clear high that don't upsett the concentration, time stop to turn and you can go deeply in what you want to do. Just need to smoke more and it can be psychedelic, very flexible. And when it is finish, it is finish, you feel fresh, not heavy on the head like modern hybrides.

For tai chi maybe something with cbd like Z6 or some Nepalese is much appropriate, agree with satva

That pretty much summarizes my definition of a high quality Cannabis plant... especially the last phrase, the quality of the comedown and how the effect dilutes and takes you back to feeling sober without dizzyness or feeling numb or heavy.

I think the perfect amount of THC (not too much) and the right mix of terpenes contribute to that. Plus smoking gradually and wait to see how the effect evolves before smoking any more. Balance is everything.

Hi Mustafunk - I've always said, the best high is from a small dose of very potent pot. Titration!

Medlabs - What have we here?
