Cannabisso,

What is that big balled beast? By the look of it, I'm reminded of Blueberry x Highland Guerrero.

T.B.
Almost.
It's a Destroyer (Meao Thai x Mexico/Colombia) hybrid.

What a difference 4 days make. I was anguishing over how long the Ciskei plants were taking to flower, and now the are finally getting serious about it:

I hope these are as good as they look. They are taking up space in my garden, and I'll be lucky if they are done by late October. The rains are likely to come by then. Super iffy.

Sierra Natural Science makes some spider mite fighters that have helped me with that problem inside. SNS 209 has rosemary extract and rosemary oil. I use it as a spray and as a soil-drench in veg, and just as a drench in flower. There is a systemic taking up of the rosemary into the plant which deters and seems to kill the mites. Some stronger sprays for veg are AzaMax and Green Cleaner. Those last two are a little strong if used together, or one right after the other as I found out - lost two plants out of twenty-one total. But there were no more mites when I switched to the soil-drench only treatment and through the rest of the grow.

Queen Mother:

To my complete surprise, this Queen Mother is ahead of all Ciskeis in flower development. The Ciskeis showed gender long before any of the 3 Queen Mothers did.

Thanks for the mite control substances. Mite have risen to "infestation" levels outside for the first time in all my years of growing in this area. I will plan for compost tea to be sprayed regularly on plants during vegetation stage next spring.

Greetings Tripsters,

My Ciskei test is looking better these days. Buds are forming up nicely now on my favorite one, but the weather is threatening them, and everything else at the moment. The outlook is good, but today is scary with thunderheads scattered around:

Here is one of my Wicked Weed plants smelling pungent and wicked:

A little jealous of your backyard there ThaiBliss. Hope you find your grail sooner than later. I am not sure if at your latitude and elevation you can find it growing there. Maybe.

yeah man, effing amazing! Really curious on these strains as far as the hunt for the trip goes. I almost ordered that Queen Mother myself. MY cab is so full of zamaldelica atm though and there's more from ACE coming....

ThaiBliss,

Rains will probably not harm healthy buds, but they might drag the plant down and snap stems and branches when it is wet.

Re Spider Mites, really simple, they live underneath the leaves... spray rainwater (ideally) from underneath with a little soap, you literally wash off and kill 99% of them like that.

You might as well add in some BT to screw the caterpillars when they arrive too.. 2 birds, 1 stone

Best of luck

Those are some truly beautiful shots TB!

Those last two especially make me want to get lost in that jungle for a while.

Very nice :tiphat:
