The Search for Trip Weed

Greetings Tripsters,

I believe this will be my next victim. It is a slow grower, and has wide leaves with skinny stems. It smells sweet, but with a piney forest floor smell.

Speaking of Burmese... here are some buds from the only genetics that I still have of it. I believe it is 50% Burmese that I got from Vancouver Island Seed Company. This plant has an aroma that reminds me of Purple Bud, but I hope it has more of a high like the Burmese. It is a wonder that this can ripen in the climate here:

It started out dense and tight looking, but the last week before harvest the buds started splaying. The other plant stayed tight, but had some mold. The one that opened up has no mold that I can find.

It has the most powerful aroma... except for the Fruity Pebbles.

I have a bagseed strain right now that tastes like acidic lime, and looks very tropical in my opinion. The weed from the bagseed was definitly dominate sativa. It gives a very nice dreamy happy high with a lot of motivation, with a small amount of paranoia. Im not sure if the high intensity causes a bad comedown because it makes me kind of tired after smoking. But if you smoke more you will be awake again. I will try to take pictures when I can.

Do you still have a cutting of that female because it is so potent? Do you recommend this approach? If yes, I will try this someday.

You are a sativa stud!

as usual, main driving force in that farce was ignorance, or more precisely lack of information. it was early 90´s and i had beat up old 250W hps. pre flower was ~3 months, but you see that kinda thais here too. not so much buds as long stalks with single calyxes along the way. sometimes they just keep pushing new growth perpetually. last 6 months it was as a room plant for it was +6 feet tall.

Here is my lao girl, she is one of my favorite girls this season. So delicate yet powerful. She is starting to get real stinky and has a unique "purple smell"- hard to put my finger on. Berrys, dark wine, acidic, semi earthy, semi sweet in a floral way and a freshness kindof like juniper somewhere in there.*

She has been putting up with above average rain and below average temps here at 48n. Quite impressive. We have been pulling her out during the day but putting her in the greenhouse at night. She put up with many freezes before we started putting her in at night and she was doing quite well but I wanted a little more development so we started being a little nicer. All she has is a medium sized dehumidifyer to keep her warm at night so she really only gets a 5 or so degree bump up.

I want to say thank you real quick to wald for inspiring me to grow pure sativas at my latitude. I will be testing a few long flowering sativas each season from here on out thanks to you. It's a real joy to have a few girls still around this late in the year.

Congrats Satva,

Say "Trip Weed", and say it proudly. I'm glad some people are finding it. Funny... I was just reading a passage from Carlos Castaneda just last week. I haven't read his series in 30 years. I'm thinking of reading them again.

I'm so happy to be flowering the SAGE again. It has been a while. I'm due for that Zen moment I can get from SAGE under the right conditions. Between SAGE and the others, the grow cabinet is really pungent.

Castanada takes me way back. " The little smoke". What was that stuff smokeable mushrooms, in the first book? 3 rings of power, or separate reality, so long ago.

All the Meao Thai F1 crosses were done in 2008 by brother Pebble (who pollinated all the females he had around with the nice thai stallion shared by Charlie Garcia CBG), so the number must have a different meaning. I still have a few of those old F1 seeds that Pebble shared with many other friends and also became ACE's new release:

:tiphat:
Mustafunk, do you think any of the seed retailers that sell ACE gear, would still have GHT F1's. I bought a Green haze x Meao Thai, from oa seeds, F1? F3 maybe?

OK, fine. Siever's question - "specially if bred for smoking ganja like in Thailand, Mexico, Colombia, Jamaica, India" - does that then probably mean NLD, if that's the term you'd prefer?

My take:
- No, everything on the market - wide leaf or narrow - CBD:THC tends to be 1:100 or less, very roughly.

- Non-THC cannabinoids make a difference anyway even when present in small amounts.

- High CBD strains on the market lately are mostly thoroughly cross bred, but often leaning towards narrow leaf.

- This is a wild tangent because it isn't what he meant - he isn't going to buy a bunch of cannabinoids and try them out - "next, cannabinoid ratios" meant he is looking forward to getting analyses for the leaded/unleaded plants, and comparing cannabinoid values. If they're consistently different with lead, then that would reinforce the smoke reports.
I think you mean the narrow leaf, would be less CBD than fat. Obviously Sativa is low in CBD and indica high.
