the old skunk i have ever smoked was in va in the83-86 in high school.it only came around every once in a while and was the most exspensive of the weed.all we had was seedy compressed weed .every now and then you could pick up what was called xmas tree bud.the rks had a dead skunk and a fermenting beer.that green beer smell when beer goes bad. the last time i saw that was my brother had some growing in the back yard a huge bush of rks in 88 and some ass hole cut it down and stole it in veg it did not have any buds on it just leafs.most of the ass hols i was around then would call growing weed was spindly stick weed no bud at all.dumb and no one ever grew indoors then.the tech lighting was not good back then.you had to waight for fall and hope some one grew a good outdoor crop.

three stalks

A few stalks:

- A Book About Skunk - by Sam the Skunkman - no b/s the real history of 'Skunk' as written by Sam (we'll take the first copy). "Half the story has never been told,,"

- A Seedbank for the Preservation of Skunk #1 - If not already, this cultivated genetic in its pure form is steadily becoming another 'heirloom' variety. The seed of which require preservation.

- The Emancipation of Skunk #2 - please.

Much of which rests upon the shoulders of the Breeder that started this whole 'skunk scene' rolling - Sam the Skunkman - Jah bless :canabis:

Ill chime in here.. Now I live in the midwest and have been here for years.. Everyone assumes that you can find everything in cali but I'm afraid that is not the case(too many people crossing too many kinds).. there are some very deep roots in these parts that I doubt will ever be dug up.. saying that I recieved some buds called trinity(local cut) about six years back that is exactly what all of you speak of.. I have smoked pretty much all cali bud imagineable and have received trinity from cali about five times since and nothing compares to that first special batch.. RKS all the way.. so If there are any older midwesterners here or if you happen to know one I can assure you there are still the cuts you speak of floating around here.. not saying this is a guarantee but I know that older farmers love that skunk and won't use the internet, they have just kept breeding same strain year after year after year.. It is still out there probably everywhere but I know for certain it can be found somewhere from Iowa to texas..

Here is what I can contribute to this thread.

Last summer, my fellow cannabis loving friends and I were fortunate enough to have a great connection a few towns away. He always had a great selection of buds. Since it was a few towns away, when someone would go, we would all chip in our money, and would divide it accordingly. Since there was a lot of money since we all chipped in, we would get a little bit of each strain, and we would each get variety bags. Some strains that he had were Levi, Juicy, Lavender, Fat Bastard, this unnamed dank ass minty sativa, among other strains.

Well anyway, on with my story. One day, I called my friend, and he said he was going, so I went along with him. We had enough to get an ounce with our money put together. Well, we get to the guys house, and my friend goes in, while I wait in the car.

About 5 minutes later, he returns, and as soon as he gets in the car, I instantly smell it. It was double bagged, and in his pocket. The smell was so strong. It was the smell of a skunk. I know what a skunk smells like because I live in the midwest where there are frequently skunks that are ran over. On with my story.

He puts it in his center console, although we could still smell it, just not as strong. As we start driving back, I ask him what strain we got. He says "G-13". I get excited, as I've heard a lot of hype about the strain. I look forward to getting home to smoking it.

Well, it's lunchtime so we stop at Quizno's on the way home to get something to eat. Afterwards, when we get back into the car, it amazed both of us, because the car fully smelled of skunk.

We finally get back into our town, and go over to one of our friends houses. He buys a gram from my friend. Well anyway, we pack a bowl of it. I expect to be overwhelmed with some amazing flavor, as most of the dealers strains have a very pungent taste/smell. Instead, I don't taste anything. It's not unpleasant, but there's was no overwhelming strong flavor, when exhaled. It just tasted like smoke. It just made me a little tired, and ready to get back to my own house, so I could smoke more than a bowl passed between friends.

So when I got home, I inspected the buds. They were amazing. The bud leaves were very thick and dark green, yet covered in gold trichomes. The calyxes were also coated in gold thick trichomes. The hairs were very thick and dark red. It was also easily the stickiest bud I've ever touched, and I'm a daily smoker so have handled lots of buds. Again, it was easily the skunkiest bud I've ever came into contact with as well. There was no pine to the scent. No sweet to the scent. It was pure skunk. A lot of buds that I get now are skunky, but sweet as well, or piney. A lot of marijuana smoke to me, smells somewhat skunky, but this G-13s scent was pure skunk, and it was a very powerful scent as well. You didn't need to sniff the buds up close, or break them up for them to smell.

I always keep my weed in sealed glass jars, so whenever I would open the jar, I would be overwhelmed with that (to me) enjoyable smell. Anyway, other than the smell, and looks, I didn't really enjoy it that much, as no matter how much I smoked, I didn't get "high". I am a fan of a sativa high, or at least a nice hybrid, with at least a mental high as well as a stone. But like I said, this stuff didn't do anything to me, except make me feel tired and ready to lay down. No euphoria. Only a slight mellow feeling. It certainly calmed me down, and relaxed me, but that's not what I want in a high. I want to get blazed, not just ready to sleep. It was like taking a benzo. Most of the time, I would smoke a few joints in the hope of getting some sort of high, only to take a nap. Needless to say, that only lasted me 2 or 3 days.

Afterwards, I looked up information on G-13, and most other people said it has a bland taste and a boring high. The pictures of G-13 buds on well respected sites, and in magazines also matched the buds I had. So I'm pretty sure it was real G-13, if not some G-13xindica cross.

But the moral of my story, is that the RKS odor was definitely the only odor present in my G-13. Whether or not it was the "real" G-13, it was definitely a very pure indica. Which leads me to believe that the RKS odor can be found in G-13, or some other Afghani plant. Since I have no access to the G-13 clone, perhaps I'll try Mr. Nice which is G-13xHash Plant, perhaps the RKS odor can be found there?

Fat Ass Seeds....

Fat Ass Seeds....

I Just stumbled upon this thread! I have been on my own personal quest to acquire a strain that was called "afghan skunkbud" around here in the mid to late 80's. RKS maybe? Gainsville Green maybe? Nuggety with few hairs it was.
Did it come with Big Huge Fatass seeds? If so, it may be my huckleberry!

Double skunk (road Kill)
After tonns of requests I have made a roadkill skunk indica variety be warned this stuff is seriously strong in both odor and high we used the classic Purple skunk aka bs skunk a skunk indica that is really tough and skanky it has been around for over 20 years , we selected a male from skunk#3 seeds I obtained in holland that were what skunkman told me was the stinkiest skunk around these are lime green skunks with large white crystals , the f-1 produced the worst odor I do not recomend this for city people I tumbled 1 small 3 oz plant in the pollinator and it stunk outside the building 400 yards away .
The buds are super in bag appeal the taste is really sweet and the hash tastes exactly like the buds and even the hash stinks in your pockets .
She flowers for a full 9 weeks mid oct outdoors

Armageddon Skunk?

Type Indoor/Outdoor
Flowering 7-8 weeks

Oh my god, it's the end of the world as we know it! The echelon of eschatology. It's a bolt from the blue to know that Armageddon Skunk is a F1 hybrid combining the best of G13 Hash plant x Maple Leaf x Big Bud. It's a revelation to see such a holy trinity in perfect equilibrium. (The main attractor that lies at the end of history calling your name.) Armageddon Skunk - as recommended by four horsemen. "Smeg! I'm famished," said Famine. "I feel totally dead," said Death. "War? In this state?" said War. "Not today, thanks," said Pestilence. Prepare to meet thy fate (11:59).

now someone who knows exactly what they are talking about I didnt even know people grew weed in cali when I was a kid. I never smoked anything but skunk when I was growing up because thats all they gre and still grow around here. those farmers still grow from seed some still in their cornfields other along river banks ect. I'm from the midwest and I know most of the skunk grown here gets shipped back east been that way for ever. Locals have to know someone to even get this. These people still bury the mason jars in coolers on the islands of the muddy miss. Hell I got confirmation from one famous country singer who used to come to this certain county in the midwest every year around harvest time and buy some of the farmers whole crop. Its the real deal roadkill and I know they didnt get this from sam the skunkman and as soon as I can pm ol sam im gonna tell him that

bro you are right they been growing this forever probably 20 years before i as born in the early 70's and i got a whole shit load of beans too. my aunt used to say they got higher then those georga pines off rks which they just called skunk!

on another note reeferman got a roadkill out 150 for ten beans

Thanks. That's really helpful information to this thread. So was Skunk #1 EVER RKS like Sam the Skunkman claims? If not, then I see no reason why it was ever called "Skunk #1", other than to sell it based on name.

or better yet,,,tell us sam....what is skunk #3? I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but I've never heard of it? I know the BC skunk is out of this world skunky.
I'd say reeferman has the skunk to try.
