GDW- I heard the teabag method was to help with bad germ rates, but I think that's cause the tannic acid was supposed to soften the seed casing. I'm not sure how many nutes and vitamins tea has, but I'm pretty sure it's practically none

ganico, tea has small levels of nutes and vitamins ....just like oak leaves or any other tree leaves all do .... they are acid in their ph....hence the value to the compost pile !!! tea also has polyphenols -ec, ecg, egc, and egcg they inter-act with the vitamins and nutes boosting their effects... hope this helps !!! monkey5

I am contemplating using pollen from my jamaican on the g-13. Something about the combination strikes my fancy.. I believe the phenotype and budset could very well be what we seek... This jam has some nice golfball action- but not much of a skunk smell...Although the high is up and a bit trippy- euphoric....
I'll be looking forward to seeing what comes out of the cross to afghani..
Although a skunkier afghani may be a better selection, I'll be using the g-13 first in my testing....

thats what i was thinking doc. there is a good potential for a "rks" phenotype in there, but it aint the same as the old-school georgia skunk and virginia skunk.

Could Virginia Skunk be Schuyler Skunk?

i had some superskunk x something.. recently and it had very close to RKS.. i wish i knew what it was crossed with...i smelled it when i pulled up to my boys house..shit was RAW

Factoid:
Gonzo#1 (Skunk#1/Basic5/William's Wonder) is loaded with RKS phenotypic expressions/variations.

I'll tell you what, I've never grown Gonzo#1, but last night I thought I had spilled a jar of Sour Diesel IBL(grown from seeds gifted by JLP, and is the best smoke around my area according to numerous people who all buy and sell kind buds) while driving home, but quickly realized it was a road killed skunk.

Also I'm not here to argue about it, it fooled me only for about 25 seconds or so, but it smelled just like a nug of SDibl, from my jar, was being cut up in my car; I even checked the jar of hawiian under my seat to make sure it wasn't spilling over(even though I immediatly thought I had spilled SD[which I didn't have any of with me.])
Just thought I would share it with you guys.
It doesn't smell like roadkill skunk while in the jar, but when you start cutting the bud up it sure does.
Also there was at least 2 people (over the summer) who asked about there being a skunk around-- while we were 35-40 yards away from my main outdoor spot, where I grew the SD IBL (thanks again JLP!!!)

yeah ecsd can be skunky also...my buddy czr cut me off a few early nugs for me to try since i never had tried ecsd yet at that point...they were only 50 some days into flowering but he put them in a little tupperware container for me to bring home and dry so i could have a taste....anyway on my ride home i told my gf to open the tupperware so i could take a whiff so she opened it to take a whiff first and as soon as she cracked the lid i could smell rks....the real deal rks smell....like i just drove past a spot where someone had just ran over a skunk smell....you rks fans no what i'm saying.

needless to say when i got home and opened it again the major rks smell wasn't as strong and as soon as the buds started to dry it was gone completely....just the soury deisel smell after that. but for that 10 seconds it was great lol. the initial sweating of the freshly cut buds in the tupperware was straight rks odor.

so just for old times sake if u want a whiff of rks just cut off a wet ecsd bud and put it in a jar or tupperware for about an hour...and let someone else open it up sitting next to you...to bad that smell doesn't stick with it.

Okay I am so confused, i started reading this thread and it seemed extremely interesting minus the petty arguements here and there, but anyways it was all about this quest for roadkill skunk weed, then I seen this dude names firegod said he had it and was gonna share the beans but they needed a few weeks to finished so i started getting bored and started jumping like 3 to 5 pages at a time and then Firegod jus disappeared, what happen to thse roadkill skunsk beans he said he was gonna share, did anybody get them and try them out, why did he stop posting?

Ahhhhh, The infamous RKS. got to love it, all the flashbacks I had while reading this thread were great, thank you for that. Took me back to the days that a 4 foot bong was a normalcy, now I would just laugh, and ask "you want me to hit THAT?" ...does that date me? I prefer bongs under 16" now...lol better control i guess.
Even the mention of some paper, I remember the Jesus Christ, and do you remember any of the Ronald MacDonald (had the golden arches on it) about that same time...give or take a year or two? Talk about flashbacks....lol
Couple power posters here, and some hard to understand, like tiedye420 (no offense brother), but from what I can gather, I am interested in your projects, just hard to read sometimes. Any results yet TD420?

I am interested in this strain, weather it be a strain, or 10 strains. So, if any, T2U, TD420, Brother Monk (HTC's gear is something I have been looking into as of late), anyone has been making headway, please update.

Hehheh, dam I haven't posted in this thread in a while. Well....I, like all the rest here, truly am a RKS freak! Although I have not been working towards finding the RKS anymore, I surely keep my fingers crossed, that someone will recover, or like Tiedye, try and reproduce the coveted strain.

I am however, reproducing the HTC Skunk IBL, and making backup beans of DC, which is known in California, as MonkeyBalls. I'm thinking my first cross will be with these two IBL's(SkunkyBalls??). The DC has a fair ammount of skunkiness to it, once cured for a few months. I have a select pheno of the Skunk, that is quite skunky too. Not at all RKS, but perhaps the recombination of the two, will produce something similar to what we are looking for. We'll see, once I have grown out and tested the progeny. Maybe an in-cross of something sativaesque....mmmmm...I dunno....columbian or mexican. Only testing will tell. I hope to stumble upon it some day.

Hello all,

I was gifted some seeds from a grower in Mendocino county. The beans were discribe very vaguely and that it was a skunk mix that has been around for ages.

Upon growing the one seed out, it had a smell that brought to my mind of dead decayed road killed skunk scrotum. The stench of decayed was faintly present.

It was a very smooth smoke and powerful as well.

I have one seed left of the mix...I hope its a girl.
