yeah well HMK skunk is more similar to the skunk that i remember/ or am after. The skunk I remember was what I would call very short. I had buds and a shape very similar maybe less leaf. I remember the structure really well, because when I saw a sativa I was really weirded out at all the leaves over the bud.

We grew large plants outside, would get around a pound, and they would be extremely wide bushes, a bit wider than they were tall, maybe 5 feet tall max. There wasn't really a central cola, it was like a hundred tops on the big ones. This selfed seed is a bit more bush like than its mom, more densely and thickly branched, overly even.

@ HMK, the leaf shape and colour are very Chem like.
Even has the red stems.

If def has that affi stockyness a skunk would be much taller/ stretchy.
Maybe a Chem(dog bud) x HP hybrid.

I'm going to do some Chem x HP / affi crosses to see what happens.

Who has the best Columbian Gold?
Acapolco Gold ?
And a killer Afghan?

I'll remake the legend.

@Sams, any terp guides to how the Columbian smelt. Tasted etc.

Finding those genetics isn't really hard . Their is both great colombian gold and afghan genetics available . I think the ApG would be hardest to aquire . IMO it's not finding those genetics its finding specific parents /Combination to recreate the RKS

I've been watching some of the Hash Church episodes . Some very interesting views opinions stories mixed with some boring moments . But SamS has been appearing on a few shows . As I've always said reading post and talking to someone is totally different you can't get a actual feel for a person from a post . It's a pleasure an a gift to hear SamS in convo

Anyhow if I recall correct SamS said on the show limonene and mycrene were the terps present

Btw Im Hp / Affie lover , Keep us posted on Those crosses they sound fire even minus the chem id love too see what comes about

Bodhi recently released Acapulco Gold seeds as freebies. Apparently they were made using the true vintage Acapulco Gold. He also works with old Columbian's and Ghani's so he's got all the fixins it sounds like if anyone feels like tryin to procure the seeds to recreate the recipe.

Bodhi made Colombian (Red, early pheno) x OldMammaGhanni.
Find a male in there, hit the Exodus cut, and share with everyone 😇

Yes lots of things smell like skunk people say, but the roadkill version from the past we seek was crazy strong, and seems it has yet to be duplicated yet although going through this thread you see many extremely strong claims that it has happened or will, but nothing has ever shone through as the amazingly strong weed we all remember from many years ago. someday it may be recreated, but it seems dubious, unless one started with the same afghani and columbians etc used back in the 70's.

You will never be satisfied and you'll never have it back. That's how nostalgia works. It's all in your head now...and but a fleeting memory....like high school.

Well i actually still have the genetics in a selfed seed from an original 1980 roadkill skunk, working on working my way back to it. just pulled a bud apart to check some seeds, and the skunk funk is strong in here right now, most wonderful.

not a fleeting memory either. I smoked killer skunk for close to 20 years almost every day.

I wish you the best. I do.

I can remember the 70's Gold bags...and the 80's Skunk bags..but it was all a long time ago for me. everything comes to pass.

I know too many people who get themselves hung up in the past and in a subjective memory.

Roadkill skunk is certainly worth seeking. Getting hung up on stuff does happen in all areas of life, but regardless, the old skunk was very exceptional.

I grew up in Upper Bucks county Pa . As a teen there always rks around . It was hoarded by bikers in Flemington Nj , was a staple throughout Hunterdon Co .

There isn't a doubt in my mind this was the much sought after Skunk . The Pagans and other people I know ordered seeds from High Times in the 80's . Afghani was and is a big part of the equation.. If I had to guess they crossed it to some Mexi bag seeds.

I can still smell it , the air in my high school parking lot reeked of it .. I will do my best to reach out to some of the people responsible to see of any beans still are to be found . God I miss the late 80's ... 😔

I just realized something and it made me scratch my head. So Sam , if your not a fan of roadkill skunk , why do you continue to post in the roadkill fan club page ? To me that seems a bit trollish, but if someone challenges your story they get banned or the thread locked. If you don't care if we believe you or not , why keep trying to convince us it's your story that's true ?

Zoomed in picture and count again...

"Personal grow".... you really don't know your history, he is one of the many broadleaf pioneers in which you point to as the source of the stink.

You asked for an example and I gave it to you...

One of his advertisements for his "personal grows"...

I can only make out 24 big ass stalks all the way to the ground. It's obvious that ya cant see 'em all since there are plants coming in from the edges of the photo and apparently more than the three rows of stalks that are clearly visible. Yeah... that's no more than a 5-20 plant personal grow.

That's a cool piece of nostalgia there too.

Truth is imperative for proper historical record.
Why, if you knew the truth, would you let a bunch of folks believe false stories?
