Rks skunk is my favorite type of bud ever, ''You smoke with your nose'' and nothing can come even close to rks skunk. Last time I had something close to the ''rks'' was in 2008 in Maui. Hawaii, friend I got it from said his buddy has been growing it on the island for over 20 years,.. i find it hard to believe that skunkman sam has the last seeds on earth, someone must have it somewhere, and dose not understand how important this strain is to some people....who ever can bring the ''rks skunk'' back to the people will be the next Bill Gates of the weed world..... Do you think any other strain will still be talked about 20 years after it died out, I don't think so.........What the world needs now is ,SKUNK, SKUNK ,SKUNK

Not sure its a rumor.... i heard through a very legit source that a rks has been located... dude tells me the source lives off the grid mountain man style n had it for god knows how many yrs... i should be getting some sample flowers real soon... god i hope its legit...

this is a boring conversation I am tired of all the BS and half truths here is the original what we cali breeders called skunk#1 Columbian gold x Mexican gold ,those are the skinny ones the rks is the same but crossed to thai and afghan .these unseeded ones are clones of the seeded ones and if you look you can see one we called sweet nectar its a columbian gold x thai these are 2 1/2 weeks into flower and its already covered in trichromes and tastes like honey .there was no secret to skunks and a lot of us made them and still do aloha cls ps 1 sk1 2 sk1 3 roadkill seeded 4 road kill unseeded 5 sweet nectar

ah is it related to the modern day skunk 1?

it smells like a lot of things.. from acetone to meat to fruit.. but mostly just like hashy skunk dankness with a tropical background..
it makes the room smell like the jar when you smoke it
very aromatic
high is just OK till its cured.. then its amazing
@sam didn't different people work the skunk each year with sacred? do you have an idea of what they did with it? ik my skunk cut is from seeds around 82-83..

hey could you sell cuts of the original skunk 1 you have from sacred seeds? have many gems i would gladly trade or pay cash for cuts

I made a hybrid between Aliendawg Ether x Tres Dawg IX.. We didn't find any 'Skunk' smells exactly, but what we did find was extremely remniscent of Super Skunk as far as the huge baseball bat golden chunks go, and a couple of the phenos were straight rotten meat / soy sauce nastyness.. I'll be breeding the cross further toward nasty rotten funky flavors in the f2-f3 gens..

you don't see it because I am not going to give it away only as crosses ,I sold afghan x skunk here at seed boutique and seed bay both and Hawaiian skunk crosses . i've quit giving away my breeding tools pure aloha cls ps these are just now about finished .few more weeks growing and the seeds are mixed in that batch and will be sold and the pures I pollenated last night will be saved for my own breeding and only given to my friends who will test grow them and not share them or sell them with out my permission .

I am sure you know that a fem variety can be ripped as easy as a male/female dioecious variety? No difference. It will also be fem.
A Hybrid variety, dioecious or fem is more problems, but they will use the name and some of the genes and do it anyway.
Nothing stops people from renaming and knocking off all or parts of anything.
I understand your frustrations, but if they want to use your whatever to make hybrids of their BLA BLA X your whatever they can't be stopped. Bla Bla whatever, sounds like a great name, anyone want it?

who actually cares if someone f2,s breeders work.imho the credit comes in the form of payment after that, there not yours anymore. why isnt that enough. hey sam wots the sams skunk clone ive seen ppl on the dutch forums growing the past few years? just sourced it myself. is it legit.

So you came here to tell us you have it and not sharing. Sick of hearing. Stop reading. Go roll in your RKS and don't share it with us, but it does give me the shits when people try to rub your nose in something, just cause they think they can. What was the point to you posting?????

I understand, people are trying to protect their work if they did much to create it.
That said why talk about seeds that no one can get?
I understand that also.
I only made true breeding varieties on purpose to allow growers to buy seeds once and that was it. With in a decade several were knocking off my work, just by making copies of my years of work. When I moved to the Netherlands I started to only make hybrids as the true breeding were just to easy to knock off.
People that knocked off my true breeding varieties are to blame for the reason I stopped selling most non-Hybrids, I did the years of work and made their job of knocking off just to easy.
If you could stop people from knocking off pure true breeding varieties to sell, all breeders would sell them, as it is few do.

yeah I guess I was not clear about the fems those are crosses also for the most part and people can get the crosses they just can not get the pure strains .pretty dumb with future legalization and genetic tests to prove something is yours and unique to give it away now before I can protect strains and get royaltys .your old pardner bob clark was in santa cruz yesterday meeting with a friend like me who is not giving anything away .I hope things work out great for him and the indian reservation doing growing but till its really legal and you have some protection under the law for original work any contract is meaningless .

some one asked if they would be at FS and they will as hybrids .same with seed boutique now that things seem to be back on course and running smoothly if you want the pure strains your just going to have to wait till it can not be stole and has protection under our laws . you start your own breeding program and make your own versions of these old classics me and my friends have bred and worked on since the early 70's .no body is stopping you from spending the next decade developing a strain that is stable and putting your name on it .everyone thinks breeders are stupid and should just keep bending over and making it easy for all the people who want something with out any effort on their part and to hell with the breeder and his family and future needs life is not free .aloha cls

Ok, a question for Sam and Classic seeds. If someone had one of your pure lines and decided to make hybrids of them to sell, what would you want from them to be ok with their selling such hybrids? Would you want them to list the parents from your stock? Would you want royalties?
This is hypothetical for me since I live in Kentucky and it will be a long while before legalization happens here. Or are you only concerned with someone selling your pure lines as their own?
I am by no means a breeder or even a pollen chucked as I never make hybrids of cannibis. I have crossed pollen of a couple kinds of vegetables but nothing I have ever sold. After crossing and back crossing veggies, I realize the work that was put into developing those pure lines of cannibis. With the laws the way they are here, developing a pure line here would be very dangerous with the numbers of plants needed. I would be very interested in crossing some pure cannibis lines then back crossing to make a plant that is just right for me. As far I know, I have never bought seeds from any pollen chuckers that steal others work. I grow a VERY old afganni, a cindy 99 from bro Grimm and sweet tooth from a friend that doesn't remember where he got it.
I'm very interested in making my own pure lines in the future for personal use but have no desire to sell them or step on anyone's toes. So is it just pure lines you don't want people reproducing or do you not want people using your pure lines to make hybrids to sell?
