He was the best member of our family he when up to ohio alot and love playing cards he was pro and he also went by the nickname brother love but everyone just called him uncle bud
I know an Uncle Bud out of Arkansas….RE making seeds, just grow the plant well like any other flowering plant, let the seeds mature fully then cure them a couple months in open jar at ambient room temp / humidity

Your family called him "Uncle". They told me he was in WV. They told me anyone other than kin goes in that holler they will get ventilated.
They told you the truth but its just me and wife and kids up that holler now the rest of my family is pretty much dead except for few relatives and there in prison

I created an account specifically to comment in this thread after Joe had messaged me on Instagram asking if had received this cut recently.

Another photoperiod breeder in California has reached out this past week also saying he has found real deal skunk. He has selected multiple keepers including a roadkilll, a rotting carcass, and donkey dick. He wants me to work them into auto so this post helps to serve as a timeline that I have already received the Jonestown Skunk prior to any other skunks, in case I do decide to run and work with the Cali found skunks. I don’t want there to be any confusion especially if/when the WV cut is proven to be the real deal.

I have no reason to doubt anything Jonesy has claimed. That being said we have all been around long enough to live the “trust, but verify” mantra. I was probably as skeptical as CSI or Riot were when approached with a “real deal skunk” cut. I’m sure a lot of people here have been disappointed by claims of skunk in the past, but after speaking with Jonestown on numerous occasions his seemed more legit than any other skunk cut that I have heard of. His passion about this cut really spoke to me and drove me to want to work with her even more than the lore alone already had. It also worked out perfectly time wise where I could take a risk of bringing in potential problems since I’m resetting everything and have a strong quarantine going on since I had recently brought in some other new genetics.

I’m planning to make backups to send to the trusted library and will flower multiple clones out as soon as possible. I will run her with synthetics as well as organics to see the difference in expression with all other variables being the same. I will also get them tested for the sake of documentation and future reference. I have lots of other projects to get to, but this will take priority.

As far as being a gatekeeper, I was gifted the cut and asked to hang onto it and get it in hands that I trust to hang onto it. I was also told that I could breed with it as I see fit. While I have only ever released autoflowers, I’ve grown my fair share of photoperiods and use photos as essential breeding tools to bring new flavors and effects into auto format. Each new photo x auto cross typically takes about two years to complete, assuming I’ve done things right, and get released at F4. I also use those new autos to cross to other autos to bring about new varieties. I have released collabs with Darkhorse Genetics (Bruce Banner #3 Auto), have a collab with Sin City coming out very soon (Blue Power Auto), and am waiting to hear back from Chemdog to release the official Chem 91 Auto F4. I also have collabs in the works with TopDawg and Piff Coast. I have been working Banana OG and AJ Sour Diesel for a few years and hope to release autos bred from them this year as well (if everything aligns correctly).

I have made hundreds of photoperiod and auto varieties, feminized and regular, and would be happy to help in selfing this cut, or crossing to another photoperiod to keep it “pure”.

I am from Maryland originally, as someone had pointed out, and harvested my first indoor grow while in high school. Shortly after that I moved to South Carolina and grew there. Then, after a security scare in SC, I moved to WV and had a grow near Morgantown at the same time as I had one going near Baltimore. I knew that this was my calling early on and decided to go for it and left myself no backup plan. I sold everything that I owned, except for my grow equipment and car, packed up the dog and headed to Colorado in 2016. I had previously moved my cousin out to Denver in 2014, and was blown away by the whole scene there. Funny side note, we got out there on the same day as recreational went live and ended up on what became a famous Anderson Cooper broadcast where the reporter on the scene got noticeably high while doing her story. We were waiting in line at the dispensary that her “weed tour bus” stopped to check out. I have been in legal states ever since, but still have that mandatory minimum mentality from past lives. No tell, no smell, no sell, so there’s no reason anyone here should know me unless they’re familiar with autoflowers.

Hope this helps shed some light on who I am. Like I said before, it’s an honor to have received this cut and I’m optimistic and excited about the outcome! I’ll be happy to share any and all info as I gather it, but they are just babies now so have some patience.

Thank you, Jonestown. I appreciate the opportunity and apologize that you had to speak up on my behalf. I should have introduced myself sooner.

@Jonestown88

40 years ago we called it Skunk Bud or just Skunk. When the internet rolled out I saw the words Road Kill Skunk. Just recently I read on the Net something called Appalchian Skunk...

I think it would be cool to call it Outlaw Skunk today.

Thanks for your contribution to this thread. This is a monumental event; history in the making. It's fantastic. It's exciting.

Great bags of smoke arrive and then never to be seen again. To have the opportunity to grow this strain for your own stash is remarkable.. pinch yourself to see if your dreaming..

Thank Jah for raising this dead Skunk back to life.. and Jonesy.
