More rain today, starting at 44F and predicted to rise to a balmy 59F.

Another empty calendar today, except for gym, so more reading and refined debauchery.

When you get your blood drawn you ask nicely for a 24 hour urine container with a screw cap.
I have one in my truck and where i need it.
Empty it after and a splash of bleach and its a thing of beauty IMHO
That sounds like the empty Gatorade bottle that got me through radiation treatments. That morning traffic and having to wait through three traffic light cycles per intersection...

Well you know.

Big "pot" in the background is holding a mango
Do you know what variety? Just curious. When we moved from Miami to Homestead after my grandfather died Dad bought a model house that was on the future site of Dadeland Mall. Concrete block terrazo floors 3 br 2 bath house was jacked up and loaded onto a trailer and hauled south. Nana had 10 acres of land my Grandpa had planted with mangoes and avocados. I spent a lot of hours with my Dad spraying mowing picking packing loading those fruits.

Kent mangoes are my favorite.

@SubGirl -- OMIGAWD, Wumman!! I thought I was the only nut in this area.

I have rocks from places I have been... Like a piece of Windsor Castle, one from the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, one from the tunnel at Colditz Castle, a piece of the Berlin Wall, Gibraltar, Biggin Hill (WWII base where Unca Irv flew his P-51), Pyramids (Egypt & Inca)... oh jeez, a lot of memories.
I have some of those you mentioned. I never considered my piece of the Berlin Wall a rock but I guess it is too. I’m glad to see someone else collecting them.

good morning all you Cool Cats and the Lurkers too , come on in , we won’t bite

well most of us don’t bite , maybe on special occasions

we have the next 5 days of temperatures around 60!…..treasure hunting is on the agenda , maybe we will stratify some material and pan for some shiney…

we also collect rocks , petrified ones , anything unusual , we like finding arrowheads and last time out we found some that were around 4000 years old

that is a lot of diatribe for someone who is on their first cup of coffee

That Jack’s nutrient stuff you use is absolutely killing it with my plants-house plants and cannabis. I appreciate the recommendation.
Im doing a simple grow right now using Jacks. Normally I use a much more complicated nute protocol, but I wanted this to be as little maintenance as possible. Jacks is SUPER simple compared to that! COLD TAP, NO PH, 1/2 TSPN per gallon every water from beginning to end, last 2 weeks I use Ph'd RO....even that likely isnt necessary but old habits die hard.

I would love to see your rocks and show you each one of mine since you appreciate a good rock too. I pick up rocks large and small from places I visited too but my coolest rocks came from others that have visited such places as the Imperial Palace in Tokyo and Gibraltar.
I have rocks and shells from Diego Garcia which is a British Indian Ocean Territory near the tip of India. This military installation is located on the Chagos Archipelago. We did a lot of Submarine work there. It’s really a beautiful place where they sent some of us for 30-60 day work trips. Most everything was free there for us like food as we had seafood cookouts every night. The money was great and there was no place to spend it on the island (well except for drinking…) so you usually came back with a pile of money built up. There was a lot to do in your free time there but most chose building up their drinking tolerance.

I often sneeze as a response to nausea. The effect on the diaphragm pushes back on the nausea and clears it up fairly well.

Haven't run into too many others with this somewhat autonomous response to nausea, but it typically works.... other than when wearing a mask.
A friend of mine sneezes if he looks towards the sun. Somehow doing that causes a face scrunching that triggers the sneeze. Every time!

I remember searching for arrowheads in Ardmore , Oklahoma where I visited my grandparents each year. My grandfather had quite a collection of them. He would always give us a couple. I still have them, gonna have to break them out and display them like the rest of my useless stuff 🤪

I was walking down a dry river bed one day, and among the stones, I saw the tip of one that looked "worked" like arrow heads. I grabbed the tip and pulled it out and had this: Well nutz. Let me fool with the pic....
