I believe that one of the attributes of higher carb foods is remaining with a feeling of still being hungry, too.

Fond, yet gross memories from years and years ago of eating an entire bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos. Or a package of Oreos. :)

Had 2 pork sausage links and an egg, over-easy, on 'Original' Carbonaut bread, toasted, for breakfast, drizzled in Tapatio Sauce, just to flip the bird to the bleeding acute gastritis. :)

Doing a wild-caught Patagonia shrimp sandwich for lunch, broiled open face on toasted Carbonaut bread to melt and lightly brown the thin layer of Jarlsberg Swiss cheese on each half, laid over the shrimp on one half, and thinly sliced sweet onion and red bell sweet pepper on the other, with mayo and horseradish. Baby spinach piled between the 2 halves in place of romaine lettuce.

It's a 'thing' lately. And not too expensive to make, either.
no carb diet is the best way to lose 10 lbs fast and feel better for me. I usually maintain my weight but days like today I can tell I’ll be eating veggies for a few days now

Ivan keeps me company in the kitchen. There’s some days I wake up and I just don’t feel like cooking but I know I have to eat so I suffer through making a meal. Linda wasn’t much of a cook, but at least she gave it the old college try and thought oregano would fix anything…😱

Sounds good. How’s that Carbonaut bread?
We had to hunt through a few varieties of Keto or Keto-like breads before we found one that had decent flavor and texture.

Once upon a time we made our own breads more often. These days we tend to reserve that for thin New York style whole wheat pizza crusts, or my wife's KILLER butter-top dinner rolls.

The Carbonaut Original has decent texture and flavor. Tried The Kroger brand Carb-Master bread, and it was disgustingly sweet, had more net carbs than Hero or Carbonaut, tasted like a dessert cake or something, and turned to a sort of paste consistency in the teeth. BLEH!!

The other very low carb bread products we found were made by Hero, in the Bay area, I believe, Fed Ex shipped 2-day air to the house, but even with free shipping over $35, it was too damned expensive, and didn't have the Carbonaut bread's texture.

The Carbonaut bread ('Original') brags 2-grams of net carb per slice, too, as a major bonus.

Still, for really good bread, nothing compares to the whole wheat, dense, honey and wheat berry bread we used to make, or a nice crispy chewy homemade whole wheat baguette.

any thoughts on squab ?
Had a neighbor, years ago, 'allow' his flock(?) of turkeys to escape, and they showed up at another neighbor's below our home, down the hill, all in one big group.

For some reason, the neighbor below us phoned us, assuming they were ours.

"Are you missing a good size group of turkeys?"

"Depends. How big are they, and how many of them? I might be."

He laughed pretty good.
