This is my vape I made from parts of other vapes.

Bowl holds .40 of a gram and clears it in two hits which usually does me for a few.

Hitchhiking with an LB.......you are a brave soul.
From May 1975 until March 1983, there were no aggregate weight restrictions on the 1975 Ravin Decision that decrimmed cannabis in the homes of adults "in small amounts" as a State constitutional precedent resulting from Ravin v. State and the 1972 State of Alaska Article 1, Section 22 Privacy Amendment, that basically states, "The right of the People to privacy shall not be infringed", and we were permitted up to 1 oz. possession in public (providing it wasn't publicly displayed or used.. wink, wink, nod, nod) by a sort of tandem statute passed by the Alaska State Legislature, also in May 1975.

So, while it was over the 1 oz weight limit for sure, most/many cops had given up on us, more or less holding their proverbial hands in the air, and cause was needed for a search, technically.

A couple of years later I'd do similar with a Ruger .22 lr pistol in my pack, and back in the loose and wild days of the pre-restricted pre-March of 1983 'compromise legislation' I never really feared for a search, or a pot bust.

Lots of changes in Alaska pot laws since then. Many roller-coaster rides, and now we're legal for licensed sales, home-grows, and even have some lounges for on-site consumption.

"The times they are a'changin'...."

edit: the 1983 compromise legislation restricted in-home aggregate weight to 4-oz., limited plant counts to 24/25, and did away entirely with public possession.

1990 brought about an unconstitutional initiative recrim vote that saw fed Bill Bennett violating the Hatch Act with impunity, that, due to strategic failure to appeal their dismissed cases (which amounted to a revolving door at the State courts for anyone under-weight who mumbled 'Ravin' during their hearing) , the State managed to keep on the books until 2001, when Bill Satterberg represented David Noy of North Pole, Alaska and re-established Ravin as the 'law of the land' here.

Lots of fairly specific efforts and moves between all of that stuff, too.

Up until 73 I was in Kansas. Redneck capitol of the world. You could go to jail for a seed. Vern Miller and Johnny Darr were the top cops. Miller went on to become the States AG and then the Gov. I moved to Colo and got busted with 2 oz.....I got completely off with little more than a traffic ticket. Thank God I was in Colorado at the time.

yup,did that trip on my thumb many many times, including in the depths of winter...got stranded outside ninilchick once and had to camp out at -15...always did the trip with a full kit, tent, sleeping bag,etc...
alaska, beautiful but always trying to kill you...
There was some sort of Cosmic rule on that run. It would almost always be in the middle of the night when I'd get dropped off at the Girdwood intersection ('Girdweed' in the 70s), back before the strip mall was there, when it was a small brick building housing a Texaco station, and the night guy and mechanic was a fellow named Randy, from Minnesota.

It would, like clockwork, be drizzling a misty drizzle there, Randy would have the coffee pot on, and we'd puff a joint, which I viewed as my price of admission to get out of the rain there.

But it seemed that it was nearly ALWAYS middle of the night and drizzling there when I'd drag my pack(s) out of a ride there...

Trying to remember the name of the med patient who got popped there with 99 seedlings in a tray (Will Foster?) and was looking at some insurmountable stretch, which inevitably helped to change the state's outlook. Or am I thinking of Oklahoma? I was pretty sure it was Kansas.

I just came in from feeding all the animals, birds included. I don’t know who I’m kidding about trying to do anything with his back of mine but I am going to go back on the ice. Bosco, the new little piglet I just discovered rolls on his back when you start to scratch his belly, I enjoy that little creature cause he’s smarter than most dogs… Dutch seems to have a thing for pig ear and tail so I’m introducing him to Mr. Bamboo switch

I don’t know if nerve blockers other than the ones they give you in the surgery suite. I haven’t taken anything for it except for all of the gabapentin and other bullshit drugs they tried to convince me would help. All those drugs did was make me woozy and out of sorts. I’d rather smoke a joint and get that way. I am scheduled in three weeks to have RFI done on my spine. That’s when they burn the nerves from the spine to the brain to kill the signal.

Don't remember that. I had a friend who was cash cropping around 1970. Word on the street was he was gonna get busted. So, we cleaned the house completely. Sure enough they came to the door and he got cocky and shook their hand and gladly let them in. They found nothing!

Arrested him......Apparently he sold a bag to a narc previously. Set him up IMO! He got two years at Leavenworth. Had to serve every day of it. When they want you.....they get you.

I left Kansas one step ahead of the law. I heard from a friend they were waiting for the right moment to come into my house.

I hate that state and If I ever go back it will be to soon.

Each one has a variety of potential side-effects, and not all create the same outcomes.

But Gabapentin (which screwed with my glucose, elevating the levels and sometimes made me dizzy a bit, even under modest doses), Lyrica or its generic version, Cymbalta, the off-label uses for others such as with the Nortriptyline, etc..

There may be more choices. Not all of them affect people the same way.

Again, I'm often leery of drugs that the outcome or effect of which aren't fully understood by those pushing or manufacturing them... but these work for some folks..

Trouble with most medical stuff these days, in my opinion, whether procedures or meds, is that there's nearly always a trade-off and sometimes the cost is more than I'm willing to bear.

"Parts is parts."

I keep telling folks (with my tongue planted firmly in my cheek), "I want my money back."

Had one very good neurosurgeon mistake my cynical humor for a real protest, and defiantly asked, "What money??!!" as we both knew how badly my insurance company had been screwing him on negotiated contractual fees. They'd given him all of $5,000 for a well-performed triple laminectomy, and I phoned the insurance co. and chewed them out, telling them, "I can't even get a decent used automobile for$5,000!!"

He was an excellent Doc, and his surgical PA was OUTSTANDING.

I think Will Foster's now-infamous bust was in the earlier 1990s.
