Well - it's 5.39am here in Southern ThailandGod damn it's saturday night and I'm trippin balls at home smoking some of my own weed that was cured elsewhere for a long time. Theres also beer.
Wasn't sure if it was the Snake Blood - or the fact that I was a horny young buck at the time - probably a combination of the two - plus being in such a plush - sweet smelling lobby - fulla stunning looking women - that got me all red in the cheeks - and very disappointed to be discriminated against - because I wasn't Taiwanese/Chinese - but that was the law in that Gaisha house - and I wasn't about to cause a stir by arguing about it -Sounds like a strange evening. Especially waiting in the lobby. I can see you now
We have that up in MA as well. I think they call it a mast year. I guess the trees sync up and drop a ton of acorns in an evolutionary scheme to overwhelm the animals that eat them. Too many acorns so some extras get to grow into trees.Just went out to blow leaves. It was more like blowing acorns. Have never seen so many in all my time. They have been bouncing off the roof for over a month. Loud enough to wake you up. And going to the car is taking your life in your hands. Besides getting hitting on the head, it is like walking on ball bearings. Hood of my truck looks like a hail storm hit it.
The myth skipped over me. Too much Irish in my genetics I guess…Must have had many girlfriends was overheard in the crowd by some and sounds of awe from others.
I spent a lot of time in Taipei. I was not interested in trying out any of the odd cuisine in snake alley but it was wild to see the variety. I am happy to say I never saw the orangutan thing. I will say the people of Taiwan were some of the most friendly folks ever. You are never lost because people love to test out their English on you by helping you find your destination.I've seen the Taiwanese down snake alley (Lungshan district) in Taipei eating live baby orangutan brains - with chopsticks - but never seen them making a meal out of monkey meat - probably has been done though - thinking about it -
We had these raining out of the oak tree we live under. I’m guessing they are seeds? They would hit you in the head and get in your clothes and are a bastard to walk on without shoes and slippery like BBs with shoes. We have that up in MA as well. I think they call it a mast year. Yeah - I agree about the Taiwanese - really hospitable and friendly people from my experience - different strokes for different folks - had a great friend in Taipei - Mr Ho - who I had a few adventures with - sterling chap -I spent a lot of time in Taipei. That is the basis for Robert Heinlein's "Starship Troopers" Service = Citizenship. You're almost there. Citizens and General Public.
Citizens can vote. You must have served in the military to become a citizen. General public are equal in every other way to Citizens, except they cannot vote.
All politicians must spend 1/3 of their term in office in active military service.
Been there. Took photos of the operation: They hang a cobra up by it's head, slice the skin and peel it off the poor live snake. One shot glass collects bright green bile, another collects venom.
Then the vein that goes down the length of the body is slashed, and the dark blood is collected in a larger glass.
Lastly, the bright red lung blood is collected. Alla this horror is placed on a tray with a large white pill.
The customer picks up the green shot glass of bile and knocks it back... makes a horrid face, and gulps the glass of dark blood followed by the pill. Then she (I watched a woman do this) knocks back the shot glass of venom, and chases that with the bright red blood.
should be a national holiday or at least a Florida oneI did Birthday's at the mud hole and Boo always said I forgot his B day.....Not this year.......
They all seem to. Come down at once taking a couple days. There were shovels full on my deck. I collected a jar of them to look at…Just acorns/mast
We could surprise him with a giant doobie when he comes for snacks early in the morningshould be a national holiday or at least a Florida one
