If I had a dollar for every existing bridge I've had to detail or new bridge I've staked out, I could probably afford to take everyone here out for breakfast.

This was one of the most complicated bridges I've ever laid out. Our tolerances used to give me nightmares and I'm not one to usually stress out about those kinds of things.

I found a crenellated stone castle on a hillside that I fell in love with but never saw it for sale until it was already sold for $60K, which seemed incredibly low and was easily in my price range at the time.when I was told I was moving out of the marital home I found a great piece of property on the river across from the state park...the price was steep but this was a once in a lifetime find...after doing my due dilligence I ran away from it...seems code insisted on pilings under the entire structure and the taxes just for the unimproved dirt was 10K a year...triple that for a nice house and a nice size dock...350,000 for the sitework and pilings...at least that for the house...

What he is told of course.I found a crenellated stone castle on a hillside that I fell in love with but never saw it for sale until it was already sold for $60K, which seemed incredibly low and was easily in my price range at the time.
I was broken hearted until I later read that the stonework was in such bad shape and in danger of collapsing that they demolished it.
What does a rodman do on the skyway?
Was the prestige worth it?What he is told of course.
Mostly set up the back and foresights and hold a variety of rods in some precarious locations........ and get yelled at.
The car carriers are the worst when working on the edge of traffic. Those things will suck you in if you are off balance.I was a rodman on the skyway for a while that was a exciting summer.

Tampa has the most dangerous roads I have had the pleasure of standing blankly in the middle during rush hour.......while taking notes. The car carriers are the worst when working on the edge of traffic. Those things will suck you in if you are off balance.
I can't imagine there's all that much shoulder space on a skyway. Glad you survived.
