Well, that was 15 minutes of pure discomfort.

Eating my dinner and just as I'm swallowing,
I need to sneeze. Trying to hold the sneeze at bay
while also attempting to ensure the food's gone down the pipe.
I lost the race.
The sneeze came and forced a piece of burger up into the back of my left nostril.
Ugg. It burns folks and well... it burns lol
Not able to easily snuff it back so I clamp my finger
to the nostril and give it a good snort in, hard as I can.
That damned burger then went right down my air pipe.
FFS!
Then another round of coughing ensues to dislodge the
foreign object from my wind pipe and back into the feed hole.
Just another exciting event to spice up my otherwise ho hum night

The whole time I'm thinking about what hell it must
be for people who have serious swallowing issues.

Maybe there should be an Old Farts Olympics?

We have all done that at one time or another. At one time I was choking so bad, I actually thought I was gonna…… At any rate glad you got through it be careful.

I inhaled a jellybean in my office alone at night and gasped for breath for about 10 minutes. I thought for sure they would find me on the office floor in the morning

Hey GW, the California poppy( eschscholzia californica) does not contain the same compounds as the opium poppy(papaver somniferum)

I Googled it and found this:

The main active ingredients in Eschscholzia californica (California Poppy) include alkaloids such as chelirubine, sanguinarine, and macarpine1. Other alkaloids are present in minor concentrations. The herb also contains flavon-glycosides1.

Phytochemical analysis of Eschscholzia californica showed that both aerial parts and roots contained alkaloids, the latter being richer than the former, it contained up to 1.6% alkaloids. The alkaloids most commonly reported in Eschscholzia californica included sanguinarine, dihydrosanguinarine chelirubine, macarpine,. The plant also contained a variety of colours including orange, red and yellow due to its different carotenoid composition. Six flavonol 3-O-glycosides were isolated from the aerial parts of Eschscholtzia californica. Flavonoids, in the Eschscholzia californica, occurred mainly as quercetin isorhamnetine glycosides. I have absolutely no clue about music theory. Can't read music
nor play an instrument. I listen and hear, that's my only 'musical'
talent haha.

that I thought it natural a progression as they have always been melodic.

she showed up here about a month ago…..likely abandoned…we posted photos and stuff but no response

i am not in the place to adopt her and i have tried and tried to get some local folks here to adopt her but no luck

the shelter will find a new home for her
