Easier said than done, shits gotta get done.
I'm 1
I have to agree with you about getting things done, that's just the way it is. If nobody is going to do it for you then it's got to get done by yourself. That's it.

I have on a number of occasions over worked myself doing things I know that are going to hurt me. I no longer do this, I will not torture myself. I get mad at myself if I set of a pain reaction because of not paying attention to what my body is telling me.

Work projects that took me hours are now spread over 2 days. I have to be more aware of what I do and how I do it. I have so many problems with my spine and shoulder bones, I can set off a chain reaction of hurt.
At just about 75yrs, I really don't need to hurry with anything.

I have talked with a couple of members on here about the California poppy and they seemed quite enthused by it for physical and mental relief they get from it. It's not the opium poppy so it's not the same in that sense.

Well, that was 15 minutes of pure discomfort.

Eating my dinner and just as I'm swallowing,
I need to sneeze. Trying to hold the sneeze at bay
while also attempting to ensure the food's gone down the pipe.
I lost the race.
The sneeze came and forced a piece of burger up into the back of my left nostril.
Ugg. It burns folks and well... it burns lol
Not able to easily snuff it back so I clamp my finger
to the nostril and give it a good snort in, hard as I can.
That damned burger then went right down my air pipe.
FFS!
Then another round of coughing ensues to dislodge the
foreign object from my wind pipe and back into the feed hole.
Just another exciting event to spice up my otherwise ho hum night :D

The whole time I'm thinking about what hell it must
be for people who have serious swallowing issues.

Still lurking...

It brings back good memories of Saturday afternoons spent sitting with my mom in front of the black-and-white TV, watching reruns in the late '60s. I was not old enough to have watched them when they originally aired.
Hello

We watched them as a kids and some of the episodes really creeped me out.
Couldn't hardly wait for the next weeks program though lol
I can still remember a couple of episodes from each show.
The ones that scared me the most are still stuck in my head.
