They had a rip for every sign. Dunno where I found that, but since it is a C&P, some savvy person could find it again and get the others.
Oh boy. If it was 1948 and you left the Gate That Must Be Locked open...Well I made a big mistake.... fed Ribeye a cherry tomato. Not thinking much of it and boy was I wrong. The mother trucker has eaten all the feral cherry tomatoes I had growing by the fence. Then he proceeds to go over the fence to eat my big patch of tomatoes in the main garden. Son of a biscuit..... He trampled the squash ect. ect. I just planted when I was chasing him out of the garden.
So had to string up a electric fence to keep his fat ass out of the garden this evening. We will let him out of the yard in the morning. He is a curious calf. I'm betting he will go straight to the fence. When he licks the fence (he tastes everything) It will be the last time.
I'm hoping we can watch him go to the fence. So we can tell him NO! and proceeds to get zapped. Maybe he will learn what no means. We'll see.

Starting out cloudy here at 62F and predicted to reach 83F with clear skies. The rest of the week stays in the high 70's, low 80's.
!@#$%^&*() my hair stylists couldn't get childcare yesterday, so I was unable to get my mop shorn. She is down to one day a week, so I will try again next Saturday before breaking in a new one.

First day to wake up and not be totally ground up by my feels.
Today is a planned 'vacation day', schedule is wide open to
doing what ever I may feel inclined to do... even if that is
nothing productive. I think it's healthy to allow ourselves
a day off. Even though... I know I'll still be engaging in...
something... lol

If I had left the gate open, I wouldn't have been so mad at the walking steak factory. The fence is/was just to keep the cackling bitches from tilling/killing the garden. It worked for them.
There WAS a cherry tomato growing by the 3' tall chicken wire fence. He had eaten it and was reaching for another. Feeling no resistance or spikes he kept going and just walked over it. I just happened to look over just as he did. Instead of eating the small tomato plant just on the other side. He made a bee line for the great wall of tomatoes. Screaming and cursing at him didn't slow him down. Had to chase him out with a hoe beating his fat ass with it.
Just in... Blondy just let him out. He took 6 shocks before he stopped. Damnit I missed it.....
The last pic is of what I gave him one of. Lesson learned.

That was your defense against skeeters. Now that my swallows have started their journey back to South America I am defenseless and the front porch is a no go zone after dark.I have bats in me belfry lol
They have resided up there as long as I've been here (15yrs).
I ain'ta sceered of them and since the attic is storage,
I just leave them be to live their lives in peace.
Recently however, I think they've invited their entire
clan to 'hang' out in my rafters
Decided to call the LL to address the issue as they
are now flying around and popping/ peeing on my
items.
W/ in 2 minutes he let me know that the 'bat' guy will
be here at ___ time. Cool.
Ya just never know what the day will bring and who
one may meet along the way
Per usual, I was out on the front porch when he arrived.
There was some very interesting music emitting from the car.
When he exited the vehicle I hollered down "Hey, are you Bat Man?".
He laughed and said "Yes! I am that guy" haha.
I went down to let him in and immediately asked him about
the music he was listening to. He told me and even wrote
down the name of the artist and song he was listening to.
He was quite excited to share as he had just discovered her.
And well... I am always on the hunt for new artists to explore.
Took less then 10 minutes for him to survey, take pix and let
me know how the issue will be handled.
The next 20 minutes or so was spent standing around and
talking music. I think he was enjoying sharing his music
w/ this old gal just as I was thrilled to share some of my
favorite artists with a youngster. I was also impressed w/ his
scope of knowledge (he couldn't be much more than 23yoa.)
and that his tastes are so diverse.
I asked him if he knew who Billy Strings is and he got really
animated. Said he met him in '12 and has followed him since.
Let him know that I too had met him around the same time.
We both were impressed w/ the young man back then and
pleased that he has now made his way 'to the big time'.
Music is my love and it was wonderful to meet such a young
and knowledgeable person of like mind

. I keep the garden page so I can better keep up with my grow. I’m not great at keeping up with my paper journal so it’s a good way to look back at problems I had as well as really great grows. I have both unfortunately. Come walk barefooted in my garden. Everyone is welcome.
