When I was single I set up stereo and speakers first and put furniture as needed.
Now I come under another jurisdiction and rely on good head phones which serves two purposes.
One music in and other noise out.
My headphones are so high end they have a sensor that starts the circuit of multiable questions that need to be asked as soon as I put on said headphones by my Commander ( She who must obeyed)
Do you spray for maintenance or do you actually have thrips. I know you have a problem with them at your place. Must be a perfect environment for them.
I can’t remember the last time I saw sunrise. After my cancer surgery my sleep schedule is completely whacked so I don’t get out of bed till 8 o’clock at the earliest.
I think you’ll do fine if you just run your ozone generator for an hour Subbie, those things certainly let you know when they’re in the air… i’ve got two plants that are ready to flip in the flower and I prepped another six which will be ready in two weeks so hopefully I’ll have a clean grow… i’m very grateful to have a friend like Lesso to help me when I need it. He’s truly a good guy…

Preventive maintenance. If I don't spray the weekly they show up. Easy to control as long as I do my due diligence. I have no idea where they come from.
I’ve had them once and you helped me out with them. I was using organic soil with my own nutes. I had thrips and gnats bad enough to drive me a little crazy. I’ve been using the strawberry soil from FF since with no issues. I’m sure I got all that from the soil.
Curious ,I never had trips but gnats yes.
Wonder if I put a coast of maine bag of soil and let the weather freeze it for a week would that kill anthing
That's what I am thinking. Funny I used to be in Sunshine now ProMix. Nothing changed. Have them with both. Gotta be the soil!

I also think the plants aren't using any nutrients when you chop.

Plants using nutes at chop. I hope not I drop all nutes two weeks before harvest?
Thrips have two instars that develop under ground.
A spray and a drench is called for when thrips are in the garden.

I do as well so now the flush seems really unnecessary.
I never saw a thrip until we moved to the rockies.
Now I see them year round as well.
Using sunshine mix the whole way so not the medium.
