He did not get a Pardon. The difference is With a Pardon his record would be wiped clean. A commutation the guilty sentence will stay on his record.

I believe that tRump has to commute/in effect pardon Stone is to keep him quite....Stone knows much more about where the bodies are buried.
AS does Manafort and expect him to get a pardon or commute too....question is when.
