How much do Mill's Pride cabs run?

I found their site, but they don't have prices listed. Says to go buy them at Home Depot. So, I go to the Home Depot website, and can't really find too much. I guess I'm uhh, too lazy to go down to store, but yeah.

Somebody should list some prices...

Different cabs cost different amounts. You can get the Mills Pride clubs in different sizes. Though the ones listed on their website typically don't exist anymore.

I bought my C-24 from Hope Depot for $99. Remember you need to add about $30 onto that for the price of the backing. The cardboard backing that comes wiht them is the suck.

The other thing to keep in mind is that these are HEAVY. I am a fairly big guy and I couldn't get the C24 into my cart by myself. I had to get an employee to help me. As for getting in and out of the car, I opened the box in teh parking lot and put the pieces in my trunk one by one.

Oh the well worn path to self sufficiency. It is fun to read about more cabinets being made. However pictures are nice, too. Maybe we would answer the same questions again if we had fun pics to entertain us.

So I have put both doors on the cab and now i've got a problem. The doors don't line up. Anyone have this problem?

Monkeyman, the hinges are special design...you mush press the door in like it is closed and then tighten the screws accordingly. It takes some time to get used to, and don't forget about the spacer screws also. They pitch the doors in and out, and help them line up in the middle.

Sumo is right, pics keep us entertained easier

Hi all, checking in...

I am running a C13 w/ 250W MH and HPS.

Just finished a Flo grow and am currently in week three of flowering 6 Blueberry x Sweet Tooth in 4 gallon square pots.

Peace

Couldnt you just throw a vaportek in there for odor?

I have done a little research on these vaportek's, but what is the advantage over a carbon scrubber? They both eliminate odor, but carbon scrubbers are way cheaper and don't use electricity.

Both eliminate odor, yes. Then Vaportek also has sccents to put in air. Plus you dont need to make a vapaortek. Some of us are lazy

Yes the vaportek also scents the air, but that can be done for much less than a few hundred dollars. A carbon filter and some glade plugins will run around a buck fifty if the scrubber is made. For the lazy stoners, you can also buy a scrubber (about fifty bucks more). Either way, I still don't see the need to spend extra money on a product that has no distinct advantages let alone disadvantages (uses electricity, and costs money to refill the scent stuff)

Granted it looks like a fine product, but I just think its extremely overpriced. Great find though, I never heard about them until you brought it up.

anyone here use a cab with a 400 with a batwing and just like 250 cfm exhaust or so? ive beein eyeing the cabs but there so shallow you cant get a aircooled hood in there and have the bulb facing the right way. so a cheap batwing with good airflow i should be able to keep cool right? cab sizes im lookin at are like 70" tall 48" wide 20"deep. im sure ic an find a small enough hood to fit in there but i wanna know if you can do it with out. thatnks guys..

Yes , this is the way I grow. Look at my gallery and read the thread. I grow in a basement and have low ambient temps though.

My ambient temps are 65-75f. I started real simple. Soil,250w hps and a cheap $20 inline duct fan booster fan. I did a successful grow this way but knew I could improve simply. Upgraded to 400w hps ,4" centrifugal duct fan and a darkroom vent in addition to 5 -2" pvc elbow vents which were there first. All blows into SIS homemade carbon filter. I have filters on intakes to keep dust off of buds and to keep from clogging filter. I could keep writing but those are the major aspects of my box.

I can get mine in there with a little modification, but im in a c-13 and maybe have a few more inches to work with.(not sure of exact measurements)

Take a look...

I ended up taking the scrubber and fan out b/c the nlXhaze grew too much on me haha. Clones popped roots in under a week, and the one I used took off!. Streatching stopped and I have just enough room, the light is as high as it can go now without being directly connected to the roof.

Taking the scrubber and fan out make it a little more vourneable, but with a speed controller its still stealth. Just gonna have to go straight to flower with the nlXhaze from now on...

Hello ladies, where are my gifts?

But as sumo proves to us, batwings work just fine.

Growing is alot of fun. I grow in Miracle Grow Moisture Control potting mix. This stuff has coconut husks in it which some people use with hydro like setups. It is supposed to hold alot of water. Thats supposed to be the moisture control part. Protects from over and under watering. It also has time release fertilizers and says no need to fertilize for a month. I fertilized once before transplant this grow. Now another month before I will give a little flowering ferts sorry to say yes miracle grow. Nitrogen, Potasium,Phosphorous, and trace nutrients. What difference is a name. Like trying to sell me fancy vodka. Hey it's just ethanol. Whats so fancy about it. So I end up with large quantities of this spent potting mix around. I put some in a big plastic sand box my wife dragged home from garage sale so my son could play in it. He loved it but was popping the time release spheres which scared us so I dumped that in ivy bed. Used some as mulch but I decided the pearlite looked suspicious in garden. Put some in some depressions in yard then covered in sod. Now I mostly dump in yard waste pile in woods which hides it pretty well. I can see why if someone lived in an apartment or didn't have a yard with woods why they might want hydro.
But for me it is way easy. No under or over ferting. No flushing. No ppm or ph meters. If you are going to grow in "soil" I think this is the easiest and best. Some fresh high quality soiless mix every grow. The only pest I have had is fungus knats which I controlled with sticky fly traps.

I have a daystar ac hood in my c24 right now. Its hard to get an even light disrtibution because I have it positioned from sisde to side instead of front to back, I'm gonna end up modifying the batwing from my c-13 and cut it down to the right depth and hook up the 6" ducting to it and see how that will work out

Light and Air Proofing

Light and Air Proofing

I continue to light and air proof my c-24 and I am running into a problem. I am trying to use weather stripping on the doors and I realized I have no idea how to use it.

Where does the weather stripping go to weather strip teh cracks at the hinges? The crack between the doors themselves? Any help? Any pictures?

Thanks!

Pics maybe later, cab is night night now haha

You want to line the doors on the inside edges (all 4 edges). Do that to both doors, then run a strip on the can itself where the top and bottom part of the door meets the cab (it is doubled up now....on the doors and on the cab at those parts). Last put a strip down one of the doors, where the doors will meet. Bam! you are done. Some people prefer not to put it doubled up, and only put it on the cab part (not the doors) at the top and bottom, they just run a strip on teh cab part itself in those areas.
