Does anyone know a good way to light/air proof the crack by the hinge? there is a large enough gap to slide a couple of sheets of paper through and I am sure that this will pose a major problem during flower in terms of smell and light leakage. any help?

Thanks Sumo

Monkeyman, the hinges are special design...you mush press the door in like it is closed and then tighten the screws accordingly. It takes some time to get used to, and don't forget about the spacer screws also. They pitch the doors in and out, and help them ling up in the middle.

I wish they never stopped selling the c-13's, shit they should start a new line that is actually bigger than the c-13. I mean, didn't mills pride realize how big of a seller the c-13's were?

Light leaks, yes, but smell... not neccessarily. If you keep the pressure inside the cab negative in relation to the outside pressure, the smell will not escape your cab, instead it will suck the air IN through those cracks.

Fluros

Fluros

I am thinking about wiring a bunch of those compact fluros up the walls of the cab to really saturate the buds/plant with light. Is there a downside to doing this? I remember reading a while back about all the pros and cons to the different methods of lighting and I remember seeing something about fluros putting out a lot of red band which encouraged stem growth.

By putting a bunch of fluros in there in addition to my 400 HPS could I enourage the wrong kind of growth? Or will the benefits (having light reach parts of the plant below the canopy better) out weight the negatives?

No need for side lighting, just cut off the lower budsights early on, and let the plant naturally focus on the colas

Heres a bad pic of my C-13. It's got two 65watt Lights of America Florex and one 20watt floro in the seedling clone area up top. And down below we have a 150 watt hps along with a 65 watt LOA light and another 100 floro supplementing some side growth.

And some goo it's produced.....

So I was thinking about the lock on the front of teh cab. How do you put one on and have it still remain stealthy? I mean, you can justify it all you want but in the end, i know if I was in someones apartment and there was a big lock on the front I would be pretty suspicious about what was in there. If I ran an apartment I would probably have a pretty good idea.

Any kind of stealth locks out there?

I have a pretty good size lock on my c-24, its one of those locks thats intergrated into the hasp. If some one asks why its locked I just tell them thats were I keep all my porn, that usually ends that conversation

Yes guns, porn, private stuff. Yes of course stealth lock which I have= TOT LOKS. Look them up. Invisible. Unlock with a magnet. I see a good shot of them in one of Too Triv's pics complete with magnetic key resting on top of cab.

Here's the outside, they are the 1/2" derawer, door and cabnet lock, get one a little bigger, we made it fit but tough

On the bottom, see the L bracket on the bottom floor that is for the bottom one, I got 2 with the same key number and the same key fits top and bottom lock.

Tot Locks are nice, all locking components are on the inside of the cab! I have two sets. One set at the top, and one at the bottom.

Well this seems to be the place of cabinet pros, so I'll pick your brains for a minute or 2.
I am going to be building a cab in 2 weeks... I already have most of the stuff I will need aside from odd's and end's....
Major purchases have been done.
I've got a 400w and 6inch inline fan.. I think it's rated 300 cfm... :D
I'm curious as to what you guys think would be ideal dimensions for a 400w box...
Right now i'm thinking 2.5dx3w and 6 maybe 7 feet tall...
Will be using a combo of lst and sog. Lst with my strechier strains and sog with my hashplant. Strechy on the outside and fat indica in the middle under the bulb.
Also this box will mainly be used in the winter, do you guys think I can keep the heat from a 400 under control without an aircooled hood? I need to cheap out somewhere. I could build one, but without measurements, I'm kinda sol.... And I can't find the good og faq in the google cache... :(
My fan is pretty bitchin and if I do my math right I need to cool 45cf, my fan would do that 6 times a minute. Minus drag from the scrubber....
Well thanx guys for reading this and any help you can give... :D

My buddy who helps and grows helped me, he had to push in on the door with all might, while i screwed them in real quick. I just need to get fans in mine and I think i'm good, aside from minor tinkering

Screw the inner screw of each hidge almost all the way out then tighten outer (on the right) then go back and turn the inner screw in for final adjustments."
