Anyone trying Veg-Bloom 1 part powder? It supposedly has L-Amino's, Si, but it's pricey for powdered fert. I saw some newbie grows with it, and I'm really impressed with what I'm seeing in tents with poor enviros. I believe ferts count for about 10% of the grow, where environment is what stands to produce the biggest, trich'ed, terped best results. I'm starting to think that the reason so many need silicas, endo, ecto, Humics, sea weed, etc is to help combat or help prevent poor, or disease/infestation prone grows due to genetics or enviro.

Hey toohigh! i have read alot of ur posts over the years and i appreicate ur advice and i agree with the enviroment statement..i grow guerilla so i have to try and build my ladys up best i can since i cant control the climate.. i used V+B last year and it did awesome. i only use it in flower now though on advice from dansbud and have found maxigro vegs alot better then the V+b,but for flower its V+B is the way to go for me.

Thanks for the kind words, Kigiacomo! I appreciate the insight. maxigro or Dynagrow was the plan for veg.

I still use A.N. because of the results i get. Consistently awesome.

I used General Hydroponics three part series for a couple of years. I didn't get much success with them. I've used MaxiGrow before and I'd still use it in a bind.

Then maybe your scale is off then?

Because 7 grams of Maxi and 5ml of calmag per gallon is way higher than 1.7 EC. And I'll bet everything I own, lol :)

The facts are 5ml of CalMag per gallon of R.O. water is about .6 EC.

7 grams of Maxibloom and 5ml of CalMag per gallon of R.O. water comes out to 2.1-2.2 EC.

Much to high of an EC, than what you need :)

What's up bliss!!

You cut the cal mag down in flower at any point? Hoping you see this and can chime in?

Just wondering don't want to cut out the cal mag if I don't need too or to early.

:thank you:

Took a few weeks but I finally read the whole thread!!! A lot of great info here will be using the kiss method as soon as my seedlings are hungry. I will post a link here for the first grow when I start. Was using Dutch Master Gold full line with great results. Can't wait to see what maxi can do maybe do a side by side once I find a good mother. Or not because it's a pain to mix all those nutes!!! Thanx for the info!!! Joined because of this thread.

Now you are ready to read the official Hempy bucket thread :)
Took me ages.

Hempy's work really well with the K.I.S.S Method too.

I did a side by side of vegbloom vs gh flora. Vegbloom might be a little frostier but gh destroyed it as far as bud size is concerned.

Hi, I would need some help, first time using maxibloom, the plants are approx 20cm height and are under two T8-58w flourescent bulbs... I dissolved 3.5grams of maxibloom in to the 3.8liter RO water and the EC is between 0.8-1.0 and Im a little "scared" feeding them with that strenght, I would not like to burn them... My question is what nutrient strenght-mboom would be good if plants are under 2x58w T8 in veg?? I was feeding now with 0.4ec but I think plants have N def because bottom leaves are yellowing. Ph 5.6-6.0 (piss orange colour on liquid ph tester when double checking after ph pen read).

.08-1.0 is perfect. That's where I start and usually don't go higher than 1.2 through flower. I'm in coco. What medium are you using?

I agree with Otis 0.6 is where I start cuts, 0.8 early veg, ramped to 1.0 and 1.2 - 1.4 in bloom is the highest I'll get.

What reagent are you using? GH drops?

he, medium is coco also :)
Yes for now I still use gh ph down, but ill buy battery acid I heard its better than this gh...
I also dont know how daF people with tap water and maxibloom get their ph approx 5.8, I get ph with tap (0.4ec) 7-7,5 :) Even with ro+maxibloom+ph down drops ph goes up after 5-6hours,disaster...

Ahh, my tap comes out a bit lower so its not so hard to keep it good, plus a slow rise works well in some cases, each feeding I aim low and the pH swings up, through the accepted range. Its like spectrum feeding....

The hardness of the water holds the pH I use phosphoric acid for down and potassium hydroxide for up. I just learned recently that I can use seaweed extract to lower pH, and Silicate to raise.

I was asking about what drops for testing, because the color you describe is what I get for 5.8ish using GH reagent, as opposed to the brighter more pure yellow color I see when using api fish tank tester. Color test is subjective and was looking to verify. Thanks

If you mix maxibloom in R/O water at the lucus formula strength, the pH is going to be down around 5.4 and need pH up. I use Potassium Carbonate for the pH up which is a strong buffer.

I used gh for years and use V+B for the last 6 months. V+B beats gh in every way including bud size. No contest.:tiphat:

Stoned good to hear from you bro! I thought you were lost in the woods hahaha!! You still run other nutes for veg though? Last time we talked you we're just flowering with v+b at 1.0ec

I've been using this method (1tsp maxibloom per gallon of water in perlite\vermiculite hempies) for years now, it is so damn easy and the quality of the bud is always perfect. People will go on and on and on about how amazing organic soil is, but I swear to you I've seen the same cut turn out better using this method than organics, and its about 1\10th the cost and labor and mess.

Veg+bloom ran at a little higher ec than gh did. Could be the reason for the small buds on my side by side... Although the strain was a heavy feeder. Who knows, for me it definitely didn't work but lots of people including yourself love it.

I am right there with you!!! I dont even PH my mix any more. I use the small side of the green scoop that comes with it in 1 gallon of water...no PH in standard hempys and the plants are perfect every time. Very easy...no mess..no fungus gnats..cheap. It is hands down my preferred method of growing...every time i get away from it I ask myself why!?!?

The only advantage i see with organic soil is that you can diversify your amendments and subtly change the taste and smell of the bud. For your every day grower and smoker Maxi-bloom is amazing...for the connoisseur though they will turn their nose up at your maxi-bloom bud

This though! This post right here sums up all 5,000 pages of this thread. Brilliant.
