Silicone should work. I'd make sure you run a thick bead though. It takes a while to cure when it's that thick too.

as long as you aint sliding things around in the tray and it dont sag silicone will work but you will need to replace it. when my 4x8 went bad silicone didnt last long before leaking . wasnt a big deal for me as it was in a greenhouse. i finally fixed it right. then sold it
