thanks guys

yeah, i do intend to try again with the Chem D, apparently it can be done, ive been told on good authority. there may be the odd seed in there i guess, if im lucky.

its drying in one of my empty cabs, hooked up to the carbon filter, in the loft - but i can still detect a hint of the D funk on the first floor..

Various recycled and no-till containers up to two years of age. Only getting better. :) I use a variety of fresh and dried inputs as topdress/mulch along with some companion planting. Using local plants that are clean and healthy is a priority to keep in line with actual sustainability.

I'm happy to see so much activity in this sub-forum. It lifts the heart to watch positivity grow. :woohoo:

Here are some plants. May they inspire other growers to continue to strive towards holistic healthy living

Floji #2 at day 56 of flowering under 11/13 on/off light schedule.

Nice one 3rdEye! Do you find that the 11/13 schedule slighty reduces yield or not?

Couple stardawg pheno's grown in a coco, compost and perlite mix ammened with dry ferts and BioChar also given high P bat guano teas.

this cola structure is fabulous, Floji? Is that goji and flo?

Thanks you for looking. I am very fond of the way #2 has developed. If she ends up being a keeper, then she will get an actual name. That cola structure is nice yes it is. :D Flo female and Goji OG male. My friend Xekki made it. This is one of 3 females i am running this round and i will probably pop a few more later on this year for my more indica end of things.

Your plants are full of various pretty color hues Terps. :woohoo: Those should be in a bouquet. :)

As this is the first time running these cultivars i have no point of direct comparison for assessing yields. Quality wise i am finding the plants to be as good, if not better due to soil, than any i have grown to date.

Yields i evaluate on a cultivar by cultivar basis, but both of these plants seem reasonable to me given the vegetative time and container size and first time running. I am enjoying the, what i consider to be more natural, timing for the light cycle. 11/13 should satisfy sativa/dominant plants as well as have the day length be a bit more truncated for indica/dominant plants so as to induce more thorough and perhaps slightly faster flowering.
HTH :D

I didn't want to start a thread so hopefully someone here might know what I'm talking about...

The person was using aerated wicking bins indoors as sort of a modified bio bucket? I remember there was a hole drilled in the bottom of the container, a tube fitted and elbowed up 90 degrees for watering, an airstone inserted in the pipe to the bottom of the bucket, filled halfway with inert media, water, then organic soil the rest of the way sitting an inch or 2 above the water. The theory was the air diffuses up through the water/media to support a thriving soil system and IIRC they got pretty good results.

It was an interesting read but I blazed a lil too much and cannot find it again for the life of me...pretty sure it was this website at least lol

The OBBT proved not to be set and forget. The common report was they eventually got too soggy. With enough trial &error {or math} it can be great tech

That mix does not need to be cooked but performs better after bacterial activity is established, the longer the better, two weeks minimum for that and how active it is, will be reliant on temp. regardless.
