now I see the old leaf are dying and doesnt look healty but the new one are look more better I will follow to check how those baby go on if it doesnt want to grow I will chop them and come back to soil... but the other clone in coco pot ( around 1 gal) are looking so good and I have give it the same water of the indoor ?_?
I find coco very difficult for me veg stage is pretty easy but after is like a hell idk why....

Thats a shame mate.

The biggest probs i have had have been related to watering. I mostly bottom feed my babies on a shallow tray. But being 100% organic in my inputs i do try and moisten the surface quite regular.

Using calcium phosphate from roast eggshells and vinegar has been a great help in flower.

O yeah and using Nutrifield coco now has eliminated most cal/mag issues too. The cal phos makes those buds swell real nice. :D

that's nice I never think to use egg shell ;D I will try it and for mg ?

Dolomite lime in the mix or topdress @ 1 tablespoon per gallon.

Also an epsom salt foliar does the trick @ 1/2 tsp per litre. 2 or 3 of these should correct any def.

Canna do make big buds too.

Hey guys about to start my next coco grow,

Using Cannabio organic veg and bud, + some rhizatonic and cannazym this time round,
Might get a few more goodies down the track aswel maybe the pk13-14.

Anyway Im bout to pop my seed and wondering after the tap root is out,
How well will it sprout straight into the coco,
Ran out of rockwool and wanna get a seed going without it.

, Hey silversurfer, good to see another australasian in the building :D.

Peace AS

You are in straight 100% coco Bonecarver?

What nutrients are you using when seeds are sprouted? Rhizotonic??

I have had only poor results in straight coco but was years ago... i am thinking i probs didnt give the coco any food.

i use canna coco nutes for the seedlings, but i dont feed them untill they start getting a bit bigger..

i just use plain water for the first few weeks, i dont even PH adjust it the first few weeks. it has never been necesary since when having seedlings in coco one waters VERY little, and the PH the coco has from the bag is good enough for sprouting. also it should be know i dont use canna coco anymore. i have found a PERFECT horticultural coco for orchid growing. its about 1/3 of the price of canna and the bags are 70 liters :D the coco for growing orchids has really nice content of trace nutrients and minerals.

i should say also water with nutes too early can really mess it up also. so look at them and treat it as the hydro-medium it is once the plants are ready for it.

when the seedlings start growing the first single leafs i dont feed, but when there is starting to show a few more fingers i pop it to 50% strength untill they get a pair of real leafs with a full set of fingers on them. then i go up to normal level directly.

i should say the max dose i use ever with the canna AB is more or less 25ml/10liters of water. so a 50% of that is 12,5ml of AB per 10 liters.

ill take pics tomorow if i remember of the spec's when i go down into the grow area tomorow. its low EC with a balanced nutrients

i have nothing against canna coco - but the coco i use now is more cost effiecient, and i can not say i ever seen any difference in yields, lockout or such, and since i go thru tons of the crap each year, i gotto adjust to my crisis struck wallet. it honestly is saving many hundred bucks a year, and thats good :)

ill be back

I have to say that i find Canna Coco worse than another brand - have to check where it comes from but it comes as a brick and has written "With Natural Thricoderma" in quite big letters in the packing. I'm gonna edit it in here later. Maybe it's just the thricoderma but sure kicks canna coco out of the league - specially when cloning.

I use Atami B'cuzz coco... it's the best I've used regarding texture and consistancy... they all work, but I find the B'cuzz to be less salty and need less pre use preperation... I always runse my coco till the runoff is about the same ec as my tap water... I stay away from coco thats got added this or that simply because I'm just gonna rinse it out anyway... I like to start with a blank slate... I think the main problem our friend Gigi is having is because they started out with some sortof ammended coco and by the time he added some nutes, he burned his plant up pretty good... just my 2 cents worth...

mgk :tiphat:

the orchid coco is from a company called "turbas mar menor" and the variety i use is "profesional coco for orchids and horticulture" :) hehe

i should take a pic of the sack when i go down to the grow. because the website of theirs dont have the mineral content listed. but i saw they do sell big bales of 6000liters over the web hehehe

i wonder if that would fit into my mailbox hehehe

There's a couple orchid purveyors in this area.. I'm gonna go give em a look.. will have to use great discipline to not purchase any orchids.. a hobby from a previous life and they'd do real well in with some of the girls.. maybe I shouldn't go look after all.. hmmmm

mgk

orchids are crazy. spent a few minutes the other day in a shop looking at them but finally settled for an other thing :)
