Ah.. dummass me.. I never got around to ordering any of them, so, I've just been plodding along with my other stuff. I usually don't order from the places that vend the DGS seeds.. but a friend of mine and I are talking about ordering from the boo and getting a pack of something from DGS as well as the Rez's ChemIBL.. we'll see..

hey man, its been too long. still growing over here, just kinda put the ICMAG posts, pics, etc on the back burner in order to focus on life etc.

having a helluva time growing toms haze right now, actually just started a thread in his forum asking for a bit of advice, but i also wanted to ask you a little something.

when do you like to repot your outdoor coco plants, and whats your rationale behind doing so? all my girls are in 2 gal containers right now, and i have huge pots (8-15 gallon) waiting on the sideline.

hope youre doing well, hermano.

i havent grown in coco outside for several years unfortunatelly :(

you have to show pics!! :D :D

and wellcome back mate, we hope to see more of ya :D

good luck!

Hey all,

I'm getting ready to start my first run in coco. I got a Hanna Comb meter and was playing around testing my tap water.

I have read this whole thread and alot of people mention that their tap water source us bad. It got me wondering what would be considered good water for growing in coco.

I have the canna line for nutrients. Knowing who that line affects ph ect. Would would good starting tap water be? I'm new to this so if this a silly question......

the water should be around ec 0.3-0.4

if the ec is lower calcium and magnesium should be added.

you should adjust ph of the nute soultion to around 6.0 ph

Hey hey...first time caller...longtime listener.

So I basically just put my seedlings in an untreated block of coco...tons of work...only to find out that I didnt give them the cal/mag buff.

I know I might have some K problems but I was wondering if I should treat my babies now with the cal/mag or wait till I transplant into bigger things.

They're in half-gallon bags right now.

I don't know if I should do a straight flush with water or just start adding the cal/mag along with my nutrients from now on?

Lil' help anyone?

Much appreciated. Have a feeling this Thread is going to save me.

Thanks Carver,

only problem is I never rinsed my coco.

Although when I expanded it I did squeeze out the excess water and re-watered the babes.

Just don't want and "K" problems i'm hearing about.

That's why I was wondering if I should calmag it.

Hi I am trying for the second time coco substrate with atami wilma system but the temperature in the room is too high around 37° so now I stopped after my 4 mother died I guess for the high temperature....
I just have a question about flush should I flush my substrate only before the harvest or I need to do it often?
Srry about this stupid question but I m a noob about indoor hydro ;P

when im handwatering i alternate between nutrients and plain (ph'd) water every other watering; making sure theres always plenty of runoff (30-50% runoff)

then last 2 weeks or so of flowering i give nothing but plain (ph'd) water as well

thats about all for flushing that i know; i have used flora kleen in coco with good results as well.

tnx for the answer ;D but for example with a drip system should I make a week with nutes and a week with only plain water? or can I just give only nutes?
I make this question because I always think if I give more nutes like EC 1.0 this wil build up salt in the substrate I think maybe my first cycle was destroyed for this reason....or maybe I just set bad the timer for water ( that was like 10min when light is on and after 6hours 10min and 5 min after other 6 hours with a slow dripping)

hi guys today I put my some cheese clone into wilma system I set timer for water 5 time every 4 hours for 25 minutes of water I have 3gal pot and I know that only 1 dripper for plant is not enought so I decided to hand water 1 time per day with 10% of run off.
Atm my ec is 0,7 but I m using atami coco 's substrate that have already a bit of nutes inside.... the temperature is around 28-34 C° and RH 50-60%
Am I doing right I just fail my first cycle this is my second cycle with coco....
P.s.
I have other 2 plant in coco outdoor just testing if coco work good in outdoor I wish that I can harvest it ( august27-october 27) .
If anyone have some tips for it I will be so grateful ;D

Hey guys today I checked the ph of runoff and was like 6.5 it is normal? I was indecide of what to do so I flushed it with a ph 5,5 water without nutes I used like 5 gal of water and the water run off is still 6,5-6,3 just the EC was fall down....
I dont know why in the pot ph is so high , but if this is not normal that mean I need to water them with a ph 5??

Just like you add concentrates to your water to PH it, think of your PH flush water like a concentrate you're adding to the coco and nute mix in your pot.

At 5.5, it's going to take LOADS of water to get from 6.5 to 5.8.

Definitely drop your flush water to 5. You'll get much quicker results.

My PH flush procedure is to float the pot to the top, and let it runoff until it is just about to stop, then collect that last puny little stream in a measuring cup, and meter it. Repeat until target ph is reached, then float the pot with PH'ed nute solution, then drain thoroughly. A slightly soaked but happy plant goes back in :)

I've used 4 before :D the problem with dropping real low is you risk it taking less than a full flush tto hit your target PH.
