the Hand Watering coco thread

They had had 24 hours of light? They should be fine, but some strains are more "sensative" than others. You might want to look for nanners later on in flower and try to catch them before they burst.

Anyone grow COCO with Lucas Formula GH?

I am reading that the most common definciencies for coco are cal/mag and N?

I am using the LF formula with added Cal/Mag, very light dosage right now.

I am thinking water them 1-2 a day with 10-15% runoff seems safe.

ok so if some of the leafs on my coco plants R a bit droopy and a tiny bit yellowing then does this mean that they need water more often.

^^ maybe, but if the coco isn't ever dried out than underwatering isn't the problem.

Hey Cheese... Hope your plants are doin better today...

Are you checkin below the surface of the Coco to determine how moist your Coco is? Cus the surface will obviously dry out faster, but down below and near the bottom there could still be lots of water...which would cause the droopin leaves if the roots are drownin...

This is why the 'weight-of-the-pots' method is highly recommended by alot of guys in the Coco forum....

Yellowing may be from a lack of Nutes or even some lockout... Dont forget Temps cause lockout just like PH... somethin to consider maybe?

Just tryna help if I can...

I'm a newbie, but I had the same problem and seem to have corrected it (for the most part). I've posted the adivce I was givien on your thread..

good luck

EDIT - also the pot size and plant size are utterly relevant mate. in the case you have a small plant in a big pot, you need to water less, and in the case you have a big plant in a small pot you need to water more (figures).. for the plant you have in the pot its in in the foto, I'd say water it once every 24 hours, giving it the odd day here and there to dry out a bit..(so sometimes, leave the watering for 36 hours.. in the pot its in you'll know for sure when its "light" because it will amaze you how light it is...

I have joined the bandwagon of hand watered coco:woohoo:
Right now I have just four plants going in a little tent, waiting on outdoor season. My setup is hempy buckets filled with coco and fed with canna A & B, Canna Rhizotonic, PK 13/14 for later, Canna boost. Right now just three Thyphoon plants in early veg mode just coming off of a FIMing at the first node and doing great. I had planned to run a few auto AK 47 x auto Blueberry from lowlife along side, but those seeds were crap and only one grew. I will throw up some pics soon for you guys to see.

Dr B and I are in the process of making the switch to handwatered coco--all our new cuts are going into coco rather than soil. So far they are looking great!
here's some C99 clones in coco. the original plants are in flower now, except #3 which showed male (the cut is being kept for future breeding projects).

My favorite thread here in the coco forum! Thanks Bonecarver

My runoff ph is between 4-5.0 :(

I cannot figure out how it got so low, and how to raise it back up. Anybody?

That's probably anaerobic activity. Flush, flush, flush + lil H2o2

What is your input Ph?

Props for this thread, and the whole Coco forum. I've joined the club, bought myself some pre-washed Canna Coco Pro, Canna Coco A&B nutes, and a PH stick. Going to put my Cheese clones in their new Coco beds tonight!

This sounds like advice for soil/compost and not coco, remember coco on it's own is a hydro medium so waiting til it's light to water it will result in anaerobic water drowning the roots. If you water daily or twice daily preferably then the roots always have a highly aerobic constant supply of food and water and the growth will amaze you.
I found the very slight yellowing and drooping in coco was fixed my adding a little magnesium and calcium. A product called liquid silcon is great too.

Hy,I got a homebox XL(120x120x200)
Is it possible to grow about 30-40 plants 12/12 from seed or with just one week vegetation on coco?
