Air - Moon Safari - Kelly watch the stars!

A funny memory relating to that song. We were drinking in my friends cottage and quite early in the evening my friend fell from balcony on the front lawn. (~3m) He had 1l beer in glass bottle, a cd/cassette player and a backpack on his arms, the beer didn't broke and the radio got only some minor scratches. After inspecting his arm and I realized it was fractured/broken so I tied his arm to a stick, made a little swing for the arm and called the ambulance.

When the ambulance was about to arrive my friend with the broken arm somehow manged to drop his pants while walking to the pickup place. The ambulance coming in in a narrow road, a drunken hippie in full beard and a big hair with broken arm standing on the road in the middle of nowhere with his pants on his knees and a girl who went with him held her fat wallet between her teeth and pulling the guys pants up standing behind him. The ambulance men had quite an impressions, you usually don't see that kind of action in those parts of the woods when picking up some injured drunken youngsters.

We won, after they left we realized there are 2 less people drinking the beers. People just sat around, chatting butt naked and listening to Air late into the morning. My friend tried to get back from the hospital to the cottage but his mom thought the other way.

I almost woke my wife typing this and laughing. \: D/

DJ Distance, cool, hafta check 'dat out...

I remember when I first heard the Breezeblock's 'Dubstep Warz' special Distance's sound stood out... then he name-checked Korn or Linkin Park or some lame emo-metal act as an influence I got turned off. However, the last couple tunes I've heard from him have been very nice.

Sperix: check!

Also feelin' The Tyrant, also on the Dubstep tip...

system of a down and korn if I remember. Korn in the mid 90s were pretty smasher and well system of a downs sound is large! I think he has brought these influences into his sound so well. Defs no linkin park in his shit haha.
That mix is where I first heard 'Tuning' (samples from keifer sutherland 'Dark City') waited over 12 months to pick it up on plastic. CHECK IT MATE!! hope you got a nice sub :p

I'll probably get a flaming or a stoning for this (not the good kind), but I really dig Oakenfold.
He was a god (99-01), but now he's kinda like Hercules.

Also, Markus Schulz is pretty good.

Now why would you get flamed about music? That's like saying your opinion is wrong. :D

My personal tastes in electronica tend toward the more 'vintage' sounds (read home-made!) - particularly late 60's material, as that was really the first shudder into life for this medium!

My personal faves from this era are:

Silver Apples: Silver Apples and Contact
Fifty Foot Hose: Cauldron
Bruce Haack: Electric Lucifer

Also one I still haven't been able to track down, and which is regarded as one of the weirdest albums ever made - Seastones by Ned Lagin and Phil Lesh from the Dead from '75. Apparently for afficionados only...:)

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned one of the godfathers of electronica - Richard H Kirk, ex-Cabaret Voltaire.

His Sandoz alter-ego is renowned - along with Electronic Eye, and many, many other variants:

sandoz is the shit!

Anyone down with Rockers Hi-Fi?Their K7 Black Album is serious headnod shit

Gee no one likes Kraftwerk anymore? Last time I got really blitzed on acid I went to see Tangerine Dream in concert.

OMFG..

I saw the title of this thread and started reading and thinking the exact same thing. The sad part for me, it's true!
